Fans are so weird though. They think the guy is terrible but believe teams will throw a good asset trying to get him. Never makes any sense to me.

Nope. He was released. His final year here was my favorite Bills defense under McDermott. Just have to find a Jordan Phillips and a Lorenzo Alexander and we're ready to role.

They're totally different positions. Right now we're locked into Edmunds at $12 million, Milano at $10 million, and Taron Johnson was just extended. Those are the 3 players affected by signing Wagner. The only way signing Wagner makes sense is if you move out a LB because we're not taking Johnson off the field much.

For one, we're stuck with his cap hit. So this already makes get rid of Edmunds people clueless. If there was a way to upgrade Edmunds I'm pretty sure everyone would be on board with that. There just isn't an easy way to upgrade. This isn't a situation where taking on $12 million in dead cap by releasing him makes us better. When someone like me says try to extend Edmunds to a Milano like deal we can save cap and improve the current team to win a Super Bowl.

I think the Bills were still convincing the NFL they're real contenders. This is the first time in probably 30 years that good players will be calling the Bills to come join them.

In all my years playing and studying football I've never heard anyone say the way to stop a top QB is with elite Mike linebackers. I've heard pass rush and CB's, but this is a 1st. Our defensive line and DBs haven't been good enough in the playoffs vs KC.

We're not built to stop good running teams. Does anyone here know their team? Is there anyone that's good vs the run on our team consistently? Edmunds didn't play in our worst game vs the run.

Russ Brandon was trying to keep a dying franchise alive. Houston is one of the most profitable franchises in the NFL. Any issues they have are self inflicted.

If you can trade Edmunds for a decent asset and upgrade to Wagner that would be amazing. I just don't see it happening. Also people need to stop acting like Edmunds is a liability. He's just not a playmaker. So upgrade if you can yes, but the hate has to stop.

That's a bit harsh on a 1st offense. 1 year suspension is pretty strong. 2nd offense should be a lifetime ban.

Beane also believes the cap will normalize over the next 3-5 years. So expect him to create $15+ million in space just based on his projections. That doesn't include players released creating short-term dead cap. That's just restructures. I think we'll see a lot of restructures with the idea that the cap will normalize. We'll also see players released to create cap.

Problem is the judicial system typically let's these guys off the hook. Don't blame the NFL.
