    I think the chatter is because the next options with Edmunds are extension, trade, or let walk in free agency. Those that think he's average or worse don't want an extension, but also don't want to just let him walk. So they're hoping for a trade.

    Beane knows this but we don't really have a big contract long-term on defense. Tre White has cap hits in the $15-16 million range. That's pretty good. We're in the market for a big contract DL. Oliver is going to probably be right around Tre White. Let's go get that guy now. If you listen to Beane he says after QB pass rusher is the most important position. Let's get him.

    I would be surprised but the Bills will have to make a tough decision there very soon. Hyde will be 32 next year.

    We're actually in a pretty good position right now for future cap. One deal isn't going to kill us. There's rumors of Fletcher Cox getting traded. Thats another chance for the Bills to get better. Let's see what happens.

    Extention would've lowered Mack's cap hit a lot. We'd push a lot of money into the future, but there are so many ways to make it happen without destroying the current roster.

    I don't think it is to replace Knox, but who knows. Bills would roll out 2 TES or 12 personnel.

    Beans biggest mistake was keeping Trent Murphy as 3rd DE when he could've cut him to save $8 million in cap space or use it to go for a big fish. Instead we had Addison and Murphy eating like $18 million in cap space the year we went to the AFC Championship. Imagine that $18 million used on a premier pass rusher?

    Not as simple as that. Yes we're always contenders with Allen but we have about $20 million more in cap space to use on players around Allen right now. That window is closing. It's basically a cap space window. We've blown a lot of cap on mediocre defensive lineman during Allen's cheap years.

    The Bills like him. He's a weapon but like you said I'de rather have Gronk for the blocking. Engram to me is basically a slot WR with drop issues. He's a physically gifted athlete with some upside potential but I don't know.

    Beane has talked a big game in terms of pass rushers. I've seen a lot of them move around. We've been interested in a few them but haven't landed any. It's time to pull the trigger and get one.

    The Bills are still the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl which makes me believe something big is coming in Buffalo. There's a lot of smoke going around. I do think the Bills will make giant splash.
