  1. Josh needs to look for his RBs and TEs more. Dorsey deserves a lot of blame for some stuff and I know it’s popular to blame him for not designing plays specifically to those positions, but TEs and RBs were open. That’s on Josh to find them if his receivers are blanketed. I think Josh’s numbers against zone coverage last year were his worst since 2019. Part of that is pressure from up front, so the OL needs to do a better job sustaining blocks and allowing him to get into his reads. It’s never one player, one position, or one coach; it’s the totality of it all.
  2. I don’t remember these schedule release videos being a thing in the past. Seems like they’re super popular this year, or maybe I missed the other years.
  3. We’re still going back and forth with this? Guys, it’s really simple. If Beane wanted to keep Edmunds he would’ve found a way to make it work. And easily. Let’s say Edmunds had an impact on the field similar to or slightly less than a Micah Parsons. Do you think he’d still be a Bill today? Of course he would! And I suspect the deal would’ve been made before the Dawson Knox extension. I think Knox is a slightly above average TE, not worth $13M/yr.
  4. I don’t know that he apologized, more just clarified his position from the start. He always laughed at this lawsuit because he never said Favre was guilty, his words always began with “allegedly” so he knew he was in the clear from the very beginning. If he did say “I apologize to Brett” or “sorry” that’d be a surprise to me.
  5. I don’t care what Josh Allen does in his free time if he can revert back to his late 2021/early 2022 form. If his game starts to slip, or his perceived regression continues, then we can start questioning how much football is at the forefront of his life. He said he’s never been more dialed in so I’ll take him at his word and expect to see a superstar leading the way in a few months.
  6. Start with TBD resident troll @Mr. WEO
  7. I saw a post of Brittany’s saying “now accepting husband applications.” It’s probably going to be difficult for her to go from that posh lifestyle and all the perks that came with being Allen’s gf, unless she’s able to find another wealthy guy. Someone had mentioned she’s an online Pilates instructor - not knocking the job, but… Publicly posting about “husband applications” tells me that she’s probably not the type who enjoys being single. I wouldn’t be surprised if she tried to get back together with him. It’s the offseason, guys 😅
  8. They prioritized Dawson Knox over Edmunds as well and they did so without seeing how he’d perform in Dorsey’s offense. Truth is, if they wanted Edmunds they could’ve just worked on a long term extension after or before picking up his option and they likely would’ve had him for far less than what the Bears paid. Despite the gushing you heard from 1BD, they just weren’t absolutely sold on him being a difference maker. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn’t know how player evaluations work. He was a nice player, that’s it. Not someone who’s worth $18M/yr.
  9. Where did he say that? I thought I read somewhere that she’s always been his high school sweetheart.
  10. Diggs was certainly more present initially after the trade but those days are gone. He was kind of unfairly called out here, considering all the teammates who weren’t in attendance, BUT people don’t show up to these things to root for the back end of the roster. They want to see the superstars. It’s not a problem if Diggs doesn’t attend, of course, I don’t think Von Miller or Tre White were there either, but after a tumultuous end to the season it would be nice to see him around and having fun with the guys. But oh well.
  11. Aside from spending time with Josh playing catch when the trade first happened, Diggs has always been on his own in the offseason. He’s not around the team until it’s mandatory, even in team building activities like Hyde’s home run derby.
  12. If you guys read the article, someone on the Eagles side nixed the trade. Ertz wouldn’t say who, but Howie Rosenman is likely the culprit. Also, the second quote in the OP’s post belongs to Frank Reich. Should be edited to reflect that because right now it reads as Ertz’s words.
  13. Which starters have they traded for draft picks?
  14. Unless the Cardinals are roster purging - and I haven’t seen anything that would suggest they are - why would they let Simmons go for a 6th and weaken their team? Same principle applies to those who want to get rid of Oliver. Doesn’t make much sense from a competitive standpoint if the return is pennies on the dollar.
  15. Not saying Spector will win the job, but I was impressed with him last preseason. Seemed like he was everywhere and was much more a presence than his fellow rookie LB Bernard. I remember some were even joking to start him over Tremaine… or maybe those weren’t jokes. Anyway, whoever emerges at MLB, I don’t think the drop off from Tremaine will be canyon-like.
  16. Belichick’s career record without Tom Brady: 79-87 (47.6%) Tom Brady’s career record without Belichick: 37-20 (65%)
  17. If he has a good year, I’d guess Oliver would sign in the $17M/yr range. Just like Edmunds before him, I don’t see the Bills offering that kind of second contract.
  18. Reports were that he very rarely drops a pass, but has instances where he double clutches, or doesn’t catch it clean, so it calls into question his hands. The biggest knock about his catch percentage was his contested catch rate. I don’t have the percentage in front of me, but it was abysmal. From memory I want to say it was like 6/20 (30%).
  19. Love Doyle’s athleticism. I think he needs to get stronger as well, but due to his ACL recovery it’ll likely be another year before he can really focus on strengthening his sets. I don’t know how much he’ll play as an in-line TE now that Kincaid is in the fold. Not that those two are anywhere close to similar, of course, but every snap Doyle takes as a TE means less for Knox and Kincaid and I’m not sure that excites Dorsey, other than in heavy personnel on the goal line or on 3rd/4th and 1. For the Bills sake Doyle will need to be serviceable. We don’t have much behind the starters… and we’re struggling there 😄
  20. Can’t vote for a TE until I see Josh start to look their way more often.
  21. By this logic it’s too early to say that tight end has improved, because what evidence do we have that Kincaid is better than Morris? All we have is the paper to judge and on paper the IOL is better than last year. Yeah Edwards has been a guard in the league. The other poster was asking if he could kick out to tackle.
  22. Edwards has the height, weight, arm length, and all that jazz, but he’s a marginal athlete. Only put up 16 reps on the bench too, so I’m not sure he could even be more than a Quessenberry. I share your same concerns regarding tackle, both sides. Dion has above average spurts, followed by average ones. Spencer’s struggles are well documented. Someone from inside will have to kick outside. A media member asked if Torrence could play out there and Beane of course said he’d start on the inside. Wouldn’t it be great if our 2nd round pick somehow defied his athletic limitations and beat out Spencer?
  23. Bates is a better player than Saffold right now and yes, he was better than him last year. It wasn’t just a one year fluke with Saffold, he’s been in decline. To assume McGovern could be just as bad in pass protection… I mean, I don’t know. It’s possible, sure, but I’d say much more unlikely. McGovern received a contract within the first few days of free agency. Saffold is still a free agent. If the league valued Rodger as highly as you do, or thought his career and body of work as a pro bowler meant something, he would’ve been signed by this point. It’s always a “what have you done for me lately?” league, no evaluator dwells on the past. As the saying goes, contracts aren’t awarded based on what you’ve done, they’re awarded based on what you potentially can do moving forward. But anyway, even if McGovern flops, Bates at LG is an upgrade over Saffold, which would then leave the rookie or Edwards at RG. And in that scenario the IOL is still more solid on paper than last year.
  24. @KDIGGZWho was the better guard for the Bills last season? Ryan Bates or Rodger Saffold? A) If you answer Saffold, you will lose all credibility and it isn’t worth more discussion. B) If you answer Bates, you effectively contradict many of your points of argument. C) If you try to argue they were the same caliber player, not only would you be disproven by OL metrics, but you’d also contradict your points in regards to Saffold’s body of work and history of pro bowls, seeing as how Bates hasn’t been nominated to one. I don’t like groupthink myself, I like to form my own opinions like you, so in that respect I can appreciate taking an opposing POV. But you also have to admit when an argument is faulty.
  25. Is it also your assertion that Saffold was a better guard than Bates was last year, simply because he has the better body of work over his career? And named to pro bowls? I want you to see the ridiculousness of your argument.
