  1. If they wanted the quickest solution, they wouldn't have decertified and taken this to court. They would have stayed at the table. Remember, they decertified first. But negotiation was never their intention. Taking it to the courts was, so the blood in on their hands. Now they are simply trying to make a bigger mess.
  2. Sounds like, instead of bargaining and actually trying to accomplish something, the players (and ex-players) are more concerned with making a giant mess out of the entire situation.
  3. Nice addition with Najeh "Dookie" Davenport.
  4. There's nothing wrong with what the guy did. The woman can't live without a feeding tube, so she isn't going to "see" or "feel" her kids, even if they are in the room. Having to be tied to someone being barely kept alive by machines is a ****ty way to live. Thankfully both me and my long-term girlfriend agreed that we don't want to exist like that and want the other to be able to move on in the event of something like this.
  5. Agreed. Lynch hardly deserves to be on the list as a RB compared to what other RBs have done. Don't forget Cecil Collins from Miami. Robbed his neighbor. You can add PacMan Jones at CB, and Chris Henry at WR.
  6. Now that the king issue has been addressed, can we address ****ty OG's named Justin Geisinger who only dressed for 6 games in their entire career before washing out of the NFL?
  7. Great article. She highlights the exact problems in this labor dispute, and they start and end with de smith.
  8. Fat peter also mentioned that as part of the next CBA, there's no way the owners agree to having a judge like that biased asshat Doty as the final word/decision maker. He said there'd be the arbitrator, but no judge. Th owners could meet with guys liek Manning, Brees, etc and negotiate and agree to a new CBA that could be officially finalized when the union re-certified.
  9. According to Fat Peter and his MMQB, if an injunction is issued against the lockout, the 2010 rules would be in effect for 2011. This would be bad because it would mean that there'd be no incentives for the NFLPA to return to the negotiating table. The best case scenario in all of this would be to let the players and owners and players talk face to face, without douchebags like demaurice smith and jeff pash in the room.
  10. This can happen when 98% of the population, especially kids, actually realize they aren't special, aren't different, aren't that important, and aren't above average, and thus aren't going to be handed everything. They need to realize the only way to get ahead is through hard work, and not because they're "special."
  11. You can't root for the "cheater" calhoun, but you can root for Calipari?
  12. Probably both. I see 13th seed Steve Johnson on the left side of the bracket, and there's a Bills logo next to his name.
  13. The Bills lost TO, but signed Andra Davis and Dwan Edwards. Thats roughly a wash, which is why we didn't originally get a comp pick.
  14. http://www.apalachtimes.com/articles/waves-9306-making-sound.html You need to read the entire article...you can't make sthis stuff up. But hey, why not believe them? It's a "self-trained" scientist who "can't replicate the work in front of unbiased observers" but he's telling the truth, dammit!
  15. Normally i love the underdogs, and would be rooting for VCU. But friday night left a bitter taste in my mouth. On another note, should Kentucky save the NCAA a lot of time and hassle and just go ahead and vacate their current final four appearance?
  16. I hope Butler smashes Cinderella's glass slipper right on Shaka Smart's face in the Final Four next weekend.
  17. I dont care how bad Edwards performs in 2011, he should stay the season. You don't fire a coordinator during preseason or the middle of the season. How'd that work out for us back in 2009?
  18. I'll take Gabbert long before a RB who happens to be able to throw some passes.
  19. Nah not grumpy. I just don't see the talent aside from a couple of them. Lots of bar/hotel singers, not many actual superstars. Pia has got the talent, but needs to establish more of a personality and can't just sit back singing ballads. Scotty will be a good singer, as soon as he heads to Nashville and signs a deal with a record company over there. I am really excited about FSU. We're playing with house money now.
  20. If McSuntan reported it, its usually false.
  21. Cutting the rate of increase of salaries != a paycut. No player is being asked for a paycut. They are being asked for a smaller yearly increase, which is a far cry from a pay cut. If you make $100 and are asked to continue working for $90, that's a paycut. If you work for $100 with a yearly increase of 10%, and your boss wants to change it so you only get a 5% increase, that isn't a paycut. The situation here is the latter, not the former.
  22. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/27277/mcshay-bills-prefer-gabbert-to-newton First off, i figured this was funny since rotoworld just reported that the Bills prefer Newton, and now McSuntan says the Bills prefer Gabbert. (I guess its a fair assumption now that Gabbert isn't even on the Bills board) But more importantly, THIS passes as reporting? tim graham reports what Todd McShay says? So now, so called "journalists" are even lazier and simply regurgitate what one of their co-workers for the same company reports? I suppose pencil-neck will have an article in an hour about how "2 sources have said the Bills would take Gabbert over Newton."
  23. I wasn't terribly impressed with anyone besides the above 3. Tourette's boy can go ASAP. He's terrible. Followed closely by the thia glomia or whatever her name is, DUI boy, and the GBG (gay black guy). I'm nto a fan at all of naima or haley, but at least they can sing. Pia is great, and has the most talent of anyone, but she's gotta actually try to entertain and perform. Wear something besides black and white and sing something besides a ballad. The girl is stunning, but she's gotten boring. (And for the record, i wouldn't make it 2.5 minutes with her ).
  24. And Lee is far from the scrub your ilk makes him out to be. But feel free to list at least 64 other receivers that you think you'd rather have than Lee.
  25. i want football in 2011, but not at the expense of the long-term health of the league. If missing a season means a better NFL when we come back in 2012, so be it. It sucked missing the NHL for a season, but the league was much better off when they came back afterwards. That was/is much better than caving to the outrageous demands of a bunch of guys who won't be around in 5 years, and watching the competitive balance of the league crumble.
