Alright, that makes more sense. I'd rather have some beef at #34 if we go Miller at #3 as well.

Great post!

Buffalo judge to decide fate of NFL,
Ramius replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It alrewady seems like the owners (thankfully) are the favorites there. Vrabel's foot-in-mouth disease will come back to haunt the players. I'd love nothing more than to see this splinter group of players return to the table and negotiate with the owners and say the hell with the "superstars" and de smith. -
Any actual rational and logical thought behind that or are you just going to trot out your typical "Miller is too small" and "Ponder=Edwards" one-liners?
-
You see this. I see this. 99% of Sabres fans see this. The anti-Miller crowd apparently misses this fact. Miller bails out the D, and has bailed them out in the past so many times its unbelieveable. Yet, even with game 2 in the mix, Miller is 5th out of 16 playoff goalies in playoff GAA with 2.02. The reason you make yourself look like an idiot is because you think game 2 is the typical Ryan Miller, while the rest of the hockey-watching population in north america and Europe (chandler#81 excluded) understands that was an aberration, or a bad game, like all goalies have.
-
Wow. I'm impressed that you showed your face in another thread after the complete and utter embarrassment you suffered in the last Miller thread. Yup. Miller was certainly craptastic in game 3 when the D hung him out to dry on 2 of the 3 goals, and the 3rd came off of a goofy bounce.

Why Did the Revolutionary War start?
Ramius replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The arrogance and home field advantage went hand-in-hand in that the British were trying to fight old Euro style on unknown lands. And we didn't so much we as we just didn't go away. Pestered them long enough until the British said !@#$ it, this isn't worth it anymore. -
Chicago selects Drake Nevis. Pittsburgh selects Marcus Cannon.

Why Did the Revolutionary War start?

I wouldn't call it a miracle that we won. British arrogance and stupidity were the 2 biggest reasons we won. -
Buffalo judge to decide fate of NFL,
Ramius replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So essentially, nothing is going to get resolved after her ruling. She's going to rule the injuction should be lifted, but keep it in place pending an appeal. Now we're on to waiting for the appeal. -
Vrabel confirms decertification was a sham
Ramius replied to Peter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes it is a sham because the players have every intention of re-certifying if they get what they want. They want to have it both ways. They want to reap the benefits of being both a union and not being a union. Hence the reason we're all correctly calling it a sham decertification. Since its shown to be a sham and the players are still operating under a "union" (at least some of them), that severlely hurts the court case of the NFLPA. The judge will be less inclined to grant an injunction against the lockout. +1 This is why i think this splinter group has a real shot. They aren't subject to Smith's general douchebaggery and asshattery, and are looking out for themselves. The rank and file players simply care about getting the most money possible, not gaining power and getting their name known. I feel they would actually bargain in good faith, unlike the de smith-"led" NFLPA. -
Ok, sorry about yesterday. We got slammed with 91 additional samples on top of our usual 30 or so per day. I'm out of the office tomorrow, so we can pick this up with round 3 next monday-wednesday. Lets play some catch up and finish round 2 today. Indy selects DT Marvin Austin. Philly selects CB Davon House. Minnesota selects FS Quinton Carter. New Orleans selects OG/OC Rodney Hudson. Seattle selects Andy Dalton. Per PM, Baltimore selects Leonard Hankerson. Atlanta selects Kyle Rudolph. Per PM, newenglad selects Greg Little, WR. SD selects Chimdi Chekwa.

Drew Brees was a 59% passer during his first 3 seasons before the light really went on for him. Drew Brees was a mediocre QB before he became drew brees, hence the drafting of Philip Rivers. Do me a favor...look at fitz's last 3 seasons (since he barely played during his 1st 3). Tell me what would your opinion be of a QB who put up those numbers after being drafted in 2008. To me, it looks like a QB on the rise who has finally started to "get it".

Buddy Nix: Perfect time for Bills to draft a quarterback
Ramius replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was no free agency before the lockout. -
I love it how someone posting that they think Miller could be moved inside turns into a OBD bash-fest for the Bills "planning" to do that. We've got people bashing the team for hypothetically moving a guy we haven't drafted to a position no one has even hinted he'd be moved to. I can do this too: OMg, teh Bills are teh suxors! They are planning to move draft Nick Fairley and move him to CB. What a bunch of idiots we have running this team.

Maybe Maybin and everyone else needs to look a little closer. Maybin is exactly like the majority of people; they think they have a lot more talent than they actually do.

Buddy Nix: Perfect time for Bills to draft a quarterback
Ramius replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Perfect time to draft a QB" can also mean we can snag one at #34 and let him sit for a season or 2 since we have Fitz. He means "perfect" because there appears to be a number of quality prospects, and a QB wouldn't need to start right away. -
Only one month left before the world ends...
Ramius replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
There have been people in downtown with sandwich boards saying how May 21 is the end of the world. Bring it on! -
Denver continues its defensive revamp with Jaball Sheard. The Raiders take Ras-I Dowling. San Diego selects OT/OG Ben Ijalana. Tampa Bay selects OLB/DE Brooks Reed.
-
Ponder is about as far from Trent Edwards as you can get.
-
Ok, lets try to get caught up. Cleveland takes WR Torrey Smith as a new toy for McCoy. Per PM, Arizona takes Cameron Heyward. Tennessee selects Christian Ponder. Per PM, Dallas takes Stefen Wisniewski. Washington takes Danny Watkins. Per PM, Houston takes Justin Houston. Minnesota selects Stephen Paea. Per PM, Detroit selects James Carpenter. Per PM, San Francisco selects Colin Kaepernick. Denver is on the clock... To everyone else...I am out of the office tomorrow, so we'll hold up until i get back on wednesday. I have the picks for SD and TB, so i'll make those wednesday morning before we get started. Denver is on the clock, and jacksonville can make their pick whenever.

Cincinnati selects the strong armed Ryan Mallet to throw to AJ Green.

R.Rich's mock draft round 2 BILLS on the clock
Ramius replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills select LB Martez Wilson. -
Thats fine, but the debate is whether or not either one of those guys are franchise guys. I don't have much faith in either of them.
