  1. The question is...why does anyone care that he's gone? I only wish a few more of the idiots would follow him.
  2. Florida law disagrees with you. The reason for the light sentence was because the DUI was not the action responsible for the man's death. The courts basically decided that 'a good chance Stallworth would have hit the man even if he'd been sober. The DUI probably played a role in the accident based on hindering Stallworth's reaction times, etc. But, thankfully the law sees a difference between someone running in front of the car of a drunk driver and a drunk driver plowing someone over in a crosswalk at a red light.
  3. Rookies getting their first NFL game experience are expected to make mistakes. Supposed "pro-bowl" "top 3 LT in the league" players shouldn't make those mistakes. I'm surprised a "realist" like yourself can't comprehend this difference.
  4. Let me know when you decide to pull your head out of your ass and learn the difference between a civil suit and criminal proceedings. Civil suits and/or settlements have no bearing on criminal procedures. That is why they are tried separately. The short sentence was given because Reyes was also in the wrong and the courts determined that stallworth's drinking wasn't the main cause of the accident. It had nothing to do with the amount he paid in a settlement.
  5. Actually, facebook ranks higher than porn on their list.
  6. I'm not defending Stallworth's actions. He made a terrible decision, a huge mistake, shouldn't have driven, and he deserves to be punished. But a BAC of 0.12 is hardly "trashed beyond all reason." Most people will not, and their friends wont, let them drive when they absolutely obliterated. Chances are that Stallworth was feeling pretty good, but still functioning pretty well. The only 2 people that are stumbling, slurring drunk with a BAC of 0.12 are college freshmen in their first weekend of school and 90 lb women. As for the punishment, it is 2-fold. The settlement had nothing to do with the criminal charges. The settlement was agreed upon so that the family would agree not to file a CIVIL suit against stallworth. As for the criminal case, blame it on florida law. He only got a month because the jury determined that his DUI was not the main cause of the accidental death. The guy ran out into the road. This could have happened to me, or you, or anyone. Both parties were in the wrong here. It is unfortunate that the man was killed, but stallworth making a bigger mistake doesn't wipeout Reyes' mistake.
  7. C'mon man, lets try to keep it positive here! Look on the bright side of things! That tuesday morning we will be one step closer to jauron being canned as coach.
  8. ZOMG! How did Raji ever sign? According to Segal, a rookie cannot sign any deal until contracts on both sides of him are determined!
  9. Have you tried changing your diet at all? Maybe getting more fiber? Or maybe eating yogurt and such to get your natural bacterial levels back to norm?
  10. If they've seen your posts here and your defenses of jauron, they probably realized they don't want someone who celebrates mediocrity.
  11. A 0.12 BAC is "trashed beyond all reason"???
  12. With his versatility of playing SS, FS, and nickel back, Whitner would be a starter on practically playoff team. Would he unseat someone like Ed Reed? No. Would he unseat little jimmy? Hell yeah. Schobel is also plenty good enough to start on most playoff teams. Few teams have a pair of DEs both better than Schobel.
  13. Its probably no shocker that the employer in question was the state of florida. IIRC, i was one of the first to interview for the position. I was told they had a few more interviews over the next 2 weeks, and they would be letting me know after that. They said 2-3 weeks. I dont really care about the rejection, it is simply highly unprofessional to formally interview someone, ask them to take a sample test on the types of tasks they'd be performing and then never inform then of the final decision.
  14. I'd let it go pooj. She did respond to you after all and let you know that they'd be late. Speaking of unprofessionalism however, how about a job where you are invited to an interview, when it concludes they tell you they will be in contact with you one way or another within 2-3 weeks, and you never hear from them again, good or bad? I called the interviewer back at 1, 2, and 4 weeks post interview, just to thank them for the opportunity and ask if they needed more info, etc. All 3 times i got the interviewer's voice mail and left a message. That was back in March. I still haven't heard back from them.
  15. Add Schobel, Lynch, Whitner to the list
  16. you have to factor in "star ability" and "market size of team." If Stallworth was still on the pats*, it'd be 1 game.
  17. Thankfully one of our colleagues isn't buying this bull sh--.
  18. i haven't read this thread, but i wanted to post in it.
  19. Landon "B word" Donovan turtling in a big game? Woulda never guessed that would happen.
  20. If Fitz started all 16 games, we'd be very lucky to score 200 points on the season.
  21. You know what would be cool? If they could somehow add a feature to tivo or DVRs where you could search out TV listings based on a phrase, like "Buffalo Bills." Maybe after they added that they could even include a feature that would allow you to automatically record any TV show where the given phrase appears in the listing or description. If only...
  22. Link? Where has it been reported that the Bills were offered a 2010 first rounder? They weren't. Just because a team traded with another team lower than us doesn't mean they offered us the same deal or even talked with us. But keep on spinning your usual worthless drivel.
  23. Careful Gordio. Not being able to stop is a big sign of a problem. Alcoholism isn't limited to those that drink daily.
  24. Eugene Parker seems to have taken his agent advice from the Poston brothers. If anyone doesn't remember, those were the 2 stooges who were Kellen Winslow's agents, and were a laughingstock of the NFL until they faded into obscurity.
  25. Yes, philly is a quality organization. However, in this situation, we are talking about the actions of a athletically gifted, but mentally handicapped individual. Peters can be a quality LT, when he decides to put his small mind and large girth to it. However, given his comments and actions, there's also a high probability of him completely tanking it in the near future. He's got his big pay day, which is all he wanted. In might not be this year, but sooner rather than later, he's gonna start taking plays off, letting safeties have a free run at McNabb, and simply not caring about his production on the field, as long as he keeps his "pro bowler" status. As for being critical of the Bills, no one attacks you for simply being critical. That's not the issue. You get attacked because, according to you, every single move the Bills make is a bad one, and the Bills have never made a single good decision according to your posts. Being critical is fine, but being able to recognize a good move or give credit where due (even if it only has been a few circumstances) would go a long way toward making you look like someone who wants to have a discussion as opposed to a simple whiner.
