The biggest problem i'd have with Tavaris Jackson is we'd still have the same bumbling band of idiots on the sidelines trying to "develop" him. For his sake, send TJ to a team that actually knows how to run an offense and develop a QB.

Official Trent Edwards Excuse Thread...

Nope. I just simply haven't seen enough out of trentative to classify him as anything other than a huge question mark. He checks down waay too early, refuses to throw downfield, waits until a WR is wide open before throwing, and usually stares down his first read. He doesn't go through his progressions at all. He tends to run a one read and check down style of play. As for the Losman stats, those were merely a reply to the idiot trying to show trentative was some great QB because he had a better W-L record than Jim Kelly. Either way, i hope Trentative tops JPs statistical #s from 2006, because if he doesn't, this team will be in a world of hurt and we'll be QB hunting next offseason with the new coach. -

Of course, you ignore that each of the QBs had 1 season of part time starting (2005 for JP and 2007 for trentative), and then were given the reins of the offense (2006 for JP and 2008 for trentative). Through each of their 1.5 seasons of starting, 23 games for trentative and 24 games for JP, JP outscored trentative 27-18 in the TD department. But wait a minute...to trentative nuthuggers, this season is basically his rookie year, isnt it? He was injured the first 2 season so those don't count correct? And in 2004, JP threw 5 passes, so that counts as a full season of starting, right? -
Terrence McGee and Bills discussing

So we B word about the Bills always letting our top CBs walk, but now we B word because we're trying to re-sign one of our top CBs? -

So what? Trentative has thrown fewer career TDs (18) in 23 games than JP Losman threw in a single season (19). Aren't stats fun? -
Banks makes the big mistake of overrating preseason records and underrating player performances, specifically the first units. Preseason records don't mean crap. But when a first unit looks like garbage, that's not a good sign.

They don't teach much math up in WEO's land of Bahston. For example, they teach that the pats* have only been to 4 super bowls.

The biggest problem with Trentative was simply that so many people loved him because he was "notJPLosman." Just because one guy is "better than the last guy" doesn't mean he is any good. A 4 is prettier than a 3, but the 4 is still ugly. -

Is anyone else absolutely shocked that the Bills practiced in the rain?

Garrison Sanborn was on the Jeff Cameron show, local sports talk guy here in Tallahassee. Here's a brief synopsis of what he said. - Playing in the NFL has always been a dream for him., The fact that he's a LS? So be it, he's in the NFL. - He had all the confidence that he could make the team, and his confidence went up when Neill made some "suspect" snaps during camp. - He had some vets come over and comment to him about the velocity of his snaps during ST practice. - Loves playing football and hates that he has to chip the guys over the guards after the snap. He'd rather just get down field and crush someone. - The fans in Buffalo are insane and he was impressed that training camp was basically packed everyday. - T.O. brings an entirely new type of circus to the team with all the media attention, but T.O. the teammate is a great guy and "a ton of fun to sit down and talk with." Cameron said he's gonna try to have sanborn on every few weeks, so i'll keep everyone updated. For the record, Cameron has the Bills lumped in with the Lions, 49ers, and Browns as one of the worst teams in the league for this upcoming season. (The guy is a Buccs fan, but had a pretty good pulse on other teams. He always does his homework.)

It warms my heart to know that after the coming apocalypse, you'll still be around to harass dwight drane, be it on a message board or on a cave wall. -
Stick with just a 5th. If they are taking denney off our hands, they'd probably want a 4th.

I'd take Josh Johnson as well, but chances are no one is going to give a 4th round pick for him.

Here Are Teams That MAY Need QBs Next Year
Ramius replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're dead on about the Buccs. I get a lot of their coverage up here in Tally. They aren't going to be the 4-win team many are predicting. They wont be a serious playoff threat, but 8-8 would not surprise me at all. I wouldn't be shocked if they beat us in week 2. for the other poster - Phillips is going to be playing both SS and OLB. He'll start the season at SS since Tanard Jackson is suspended. And Hovan has been starting on that line for a couple years now and has been a solid contributor. -
I've got the iTouch and i'll agree with everyone above. Great little device, and i'd recommend it to anyone. As was said above, the onyl issue is battery life, which can get pretty short when you are using apps all day. But, as John Adams said, its not usually an issue unless you're looking at a day of traveling, etc. but be careful, iphones can blow up! http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/patterson/55962

I think Snead will surprise and be the #1 QB taken next year. tebag could go mid first round, but he could also drop to round 2-3. -

Cross the following teams off your list - Miami - they drafted Henne last year and are high on him Jacksonville - Garrard got huge bucks a year ago and is still young. He's not going anywhere Kansas City - see jacksonville, but replace Garrard with Cassel Cleveland - they spent a 1st rounder in '07 on a QB, and mangina is a new coach. Both Quinn and mangina will have a few years to prove themselves Tampa - they just spent a 1st rounder on Josh Freeman this year. They aren't taking another next season Realistically, if the Bills need a 1st round QB next year, they'll be competing with the Rams and Redskins. -
So? Pull the old drive-in trick and stuff the wife and one of the kids under the seat or in the trunk. Cuts admission in half.

Yup, the Bills passive Tampa-2 defense is extremely similar to the Ravens attacking 3-4. And again, please explain to me how it is donte whitner's fault that the Bills took him instead of Ngata. Or how it is Donte Whitner's fault that 99% of the NFL would have taken a DT. Or how it is Donte Whitner's fault that "we put the cart before the horse?"

So bdelma should hire a blind man to do his vechicling, because he wont know if its enclosed or not? What is this, Schrodinger's transport service? "We guarantee your vehicling fully enclosed, unless its not."
