  1. YOu don't even need to know the stats in order to see that the offense is totally different - for the better - than what we've had in recent years. We are NEVER out of the game with the current version, whereas with Dickballs Jauron once we got behind we rarely, if ever, came back from a deficit. The only time we did was when the defense made a big play and put up points. I know they want to get people stirred up so that they'll call in and improve ratings or whatever, but saying the offense isn't better is just plain stupid.
  2. As much as I typically support NFL players in labor disputes mainly due to the physical risks of their job, the only way I'd ever view an NFL player in the same light as I would someone in the military is if said NFL player had served prior to playing in the NFL. Aside from that, no comparison at all.
  3. I really am not trying to make fun here, and I'm asking sincerely: Do cows have a lot going on upstairs? I don't have a lot of experience with them, but every time I see one it just seems like they don't really have any personality and aren't very smart. Is that way off the mark? And as hard as it is for me to read and participate in threads like this, in a small way it actually helps me to maintain faith that there are still caring people with a heart out there. The older I get, the more cynical I become about other people, so it's nice to see that others can be so caring when it comes to our little furry friends.
  4. Even though it wasn't entirely his fault, it's time for Sunil to go. It just seems like this guy doesn't ever get anything done. He fails to secure a world class coach who basically fell right into his lap in Klinsmann, and now we lose out on the WC to frickin Qatar. I'm all about Russia, cause when they hosted the Champs Leauge final a couple years ago it was just an amazing sight. But Qatar??
  5. That's something I think about a lot...one of my dogs is 15, and even though he's still pretty spunky, I know he's on borrowed time. I know how hard it will be for me if I ever get to the point where I have to put him down, but at the same time I want to be there with him by his side. It's really hard to even think about, so I definitely feel for Joe and his situation
  6. And that's exactly how we SHOULD build the team...through the draft. As for free agency, I much prefer to bring in solid players with good work ethic, similar to how the Patriots do things.
  7. Okay, look at this...seriously, wtf??? lol http://aimlessfury.com/pics/brenda_warner_Before_After.jpg
  8. Well I sure hope he keeps it up...I know Talley has been singing his praises all year, but I just don't remember him being quite this disruptive over the last couple years as he's proving to be this year. Good news for us, though!
  9. lol, competition is a beautiful thing!
  10. She did get a lot hotter, which was strange becuase when I first saw her - back in '99 when the Rams were about to play in the SB - she had that short Susan Powter buzz cut that made her look much older than she was. Then I see here a few years ago and she has this GREAT looking long wavy hair and she's HOT. It was really weird. But yeah, she definitely looks good nowadays
  11. I don't mean to be a jerk, but is this guy on the juice or something? I know he's been a very active and aggressive player up until now, but it just seems like his game has really jumped to a new level this season. Defensive player of the year? WTF???
  12. I've always liked Kurt Warner...his wife seems a bit wacky, but he has always come off like a good guy. I'm glad to see him sticking up for our boy Stevie!
  13. That's awesome, man! And yep, the key is making sure your family is very clear on your wishes, cause it's SUPER hard for them if, God forbid, they are ever in that position.
  14. I didn't really take it like Chris Henry himself was being viewed as some sort of hero. The story was more about his mom and the lives that were impacted through the decision she made to donate his organs to others. As for Chris Henry, you're right, the collateral damage could have been much worse. But the fact is, those theoretical events didn't happen, and the guy paid for his actions with his life. What exactly are you taking issue with here? That him mom misses her son and felt the need to show others who he was? I don't get it.
  15. Definitely. His stuff holds up so well, too. Most of us have seen Airplane dozens of times, and this guy steals the show each and every viewing.
  16. Say what you want about him, but you can't argue that his stock is rising and his resume is growing. Some Bills fans better be careful about being too gung ho over drafting a new QB. We have a true gamer behind center right now, and he can run this offense. If we run this guy out of town, we may really regret it. I get excited to see this kid play every week lately. I like the guy. Great impression lol
  17. You guys know how you hear about someones passing and your sad, but then when it sinks in the next day or two it really bothers you? I think this bothers me more than I realized. I really liked this guy...he will truly be missed. It's just not often you find someone who can REALLY make you laugh....I don't mean a little chuckle, I mean like a full-out belly laugh that makes you almost feel euphoric afterwards. This guy was in that category for me. I can already tell I'm goign to be having a Leslie Nielsen tribute weekend in my home theater soon... RIP, man...
  18. Thanks for that link, man...I'll definitely check that out. I'ts funny, cause when I think of the Lost finale I get really emotional...almost to the point where I wonder if I need to get therapy LOL. It was just such a beautiful piece of television and it appealed to my spirituality in a way that I never expected. I swear, I damn near get teary-eyed when I think of Jack and that stupid dog lol...WTF is wrong with me lol...anyway, I loved the finale. But yeah, the Event started off strong for me, but I found my mind wandering the last few episodes. I do think John Ritter's kid has become a half decent actor, though. He's one of the bright spots for me. I also like the balding guy who assists the president (no idea what his name is). The show had some interesting elements, but compared to something like the Walking Dead, which has COMPLETELY captivated me, it's just lost its appeal.
  19. Lost was EASILY the most frustrating show I've ever watched....until the finale hit, and then it made perfect sense lol
  20. Good point!
  21. Wow, this is really sad news. It's staggering to think of how many times he must have made people laugh during his life. RIP, Leslie...thanks for everything! PS. I sure hope Jesus speaks Jive.
  22. Exactly. I don't understand why people don't understand that either,man.
  23. Trying hard in the NFL is probably the best you're going to get when the talent level is less than other teams. That's just the way it is. Improving a team is a process that typically takes more than one season to accomplish. I'm sure we all wish that we could hire a new coach and GM and then *poof* the team is automatically a winner, but it doesn't happen that way. It takes time, and you accomplish larger, long term goals by setting and reaching smaller, short-term ones.
  24. Maybe you need to change your avatar from "give it your best" to "if you don't succeed, you suck...no matter the circumstances" Or how bout..."give it your best...unless you don't WIN, then your best doesn't mean CRAP"
