  1. Actually I wouldn't let the guy within ten miles of Norwood
  2. While I definitely understand where you're coming from, it's completely unfair to this regime to put all the baggage from the last decade on their shoulders. When you do that, it impairs your ability to objectively see where this team is going. I agree that the bottom line is wins and losses, but it doesn't happen overnight. And yes, I know that many fans would want to respond to that statement by citing the last ten years again, but it's pointless to do that. Chan and Buddy have a plan, and they are in year one of that plan. Compared to week one, this is a different team. They appear to be well coached, motivated, and growing. The younger players are slowly seeing more playing time and becoming more effective. They are limiting mistakes, playing hard until the final whistle, and making big plays at crucial times. If they continue along these lines, and add more talent along the way, this will translate into wins and success.
  3. I agree with that. BUT, your team is either improving or regressing, and we are the former. Our record will not be 2-9 at this time next year.
  4. There's no room for fumblers on the team. I hate fumblers. I hate AP for fumbling away the NFC Championship game last year. Fumbles are evil. It's also very difficult to say "fumble" ten times fast.
  5. There aren't many things worse than a fumbler.
  6. I've said it a bunch of times on here since the beginning of the season...if we can just get some young guys to step up and develop, this year will be a success no matter what the record. We've got Stevie going above and beyond stepping up, along with Troup, Carrington and Moats getting more playing time...some Urbik guy on the line who seems to be coming along...Easley coming back next year...and a few of our vets either banged up or on IR. We have another solid draft and we've really put down a nice foundation to build off of...I"m excited.
  7. I steadfastly refuse to laugh at a soccer joke! (lol)
  8. I haven't been to a wrestling show in about 20 years...Wrestlemania is here in ATL next year and I'm REALLY tempted to see if I can find a couple tickets. I don't follow it like I used to back in the day, but I know enough of what's going on to keep up, and I always had fun at WWE events in the past. If you go, let us know how it was!
  9. That may be the best mental image ever!
  10. Same here.
  11. Dude, we're NOT good enough. This team is playing above their pay grade right now.
  12. I've been barely hanging on the last few episodes. If I were you I'd just let it go, unless you're just really dying to know some of the answers to the questions established earlier on. I will probably watch the remaining episodes just to see where they take it, but I'm just lukewarm to the show now.
  13. I thought maybe he was just mad at Jesus?
  14. Yet another example of your amazing reading comprehension skills. The only one initiating shots around here is you. When you do that, you can expect people to respond in kind. YOu are an instigator, and people like you are the ones who make it nearly impossible to have a meaningful and civil discussion. Thankfully, it's also people like you who end up getting banned sooner or later. As for my kicker thread, why don't you go open up a dictionary and look up the word "facetious".
  15. I will be the first to admit, I really thought we were in for a serious arsekicking today. I get nervous when we play the Steelers, cause it seems like we NEVER match up well against them. I never thought we'd take them to OT and come within a dropped pass of beating those jagoffs. But yeah, would have been nice to come out of there with a "W".
  16. I pity the fool who tries to cover him next week
  17. You're exactly right, coach...but I honestly try really hard to not pin the mistakes of the past on this new regime. I know we have some holdover players, but I think Gailey and Co deserve the chance to establish a new culture on this team, which is a big reason I think it's asinine for some to assert that we should intentionally lose games or whatever. But from a fan's standpoint, I'm with you brother...it's been too damn long since we had a team with strong leadership and discipline. But I feel good about how things are going.
  18. Are you capable of responding without being a complete dickbag in the process? That guy's just a troll, man...and obviously he lacks basic reading comprehension skills.
  19. Some of the posters on this board have very short (i.e. convenient?) memories. We usually get our heads knocked off by the Steelers. For us to come back from 13-0 and punch them right in the mouth, I'm proud of them. We're the least talented team in the league, remember? Yeah, Stevie had a bad game...get over it. As someone else pointed out, in April we'll probably be glad he dropped the damn pass. But anyway, I agree with you. I need to go back and watch the game in it's entirety, but from what I saw I was proud of them for their efforts today.
  20. Can't argue with that, Fong'er lol
  21. They let Georgia score in the final minute in order to get the ball back. Ugh LOL Thanks for contributing absolutely nothing to this thread
  22. If we can find a badass, road grating, mean, snarly RT...this offense will be much improved. Wood should be back to normal next season, so the interior of our line will be solid. If DBell continues to improve and we add the aforementioned RT, our line may finally become a contributing unit on this team.
