  1. Have at It
  2. Thanks! You missed the lap dances...but I have pics
  3. When it comes to a source of untapped gas, Uranus has nothing on Lana.
  4. Well said...looking forward to seeing this one for sure
  5. I just watched "Stranger thanFiction" again a few weeks ago...definitely agree about that film and his performance. I saw a trailer for Everything Must Go recently, but can't remember where. It definitely looked good, so can't wait to check it out. I think I'm one of the few people left who still find him hilarious in pretty much everything he does, lol, so definitely looking forward to another less-typical role for him.
  6. That was one of the films I took notice of, as well. Two of my favorite chick flick type films were set in Paris. Je t'aime Paris was a really great film set in Paris, and I consider the Before Sunset/Sunrise films two of the best chick flicks ever made. All three of those films were very smartly written and extremely well acted. I also loved the concept of a dialogue driven film where a romance takes shape in the setting of Paris. If all chick flicks were this good, I'd watch more of them lol. Also, the Joseph Gordon-Levitt film looks to be very interesting, as well. This kid has become one of my favorite actors since he's hit the big screen. I first noticed that he was a "big boy" in a film called "The Lookout" from a few years ago. He really impressed me in that. Then there was a film called Killshot with Mickey Rourke and Diane Lane, and even though the film was just ok, his performance was FANTASTIC. Then you had another chick flick that was well written and well done in "500 Days of Summer". The kid has found his way on to my short list of great character actors, and if anyone hasn't seen him since his days on 3rd Rock, you guys should really check him out. He's an excellent actor. But anyway, the point is that I'm looking forward to this film "Hesher" that Mark listed...looks like another character driven film with potential
  7. That hit me on an emotional level, too. It's clear that for many of them, there wasn't any internal debate or pause at all. It was something they felt was their duty, and that was that. It's fitting to read something like that around the time of Memorial Day, because I think it's a disgrace how many people in this country have forgotten about those who have made similar sacrifices and gestures for our future. Dr D makes an interesting point about how it would go down if it were taking place in America.
  8. LOL, one of the great Richard Pryor's more dubious career decisions, for sure...although I used to have a mad crush on that blonde lady with the knockers
  9. lol...crayonz got me with a keyboard soaker
  10. Interesting. I appreciate Phil's stance, saying he's sort of taking one for the team here, but it's sort of like boycotting sex because you have a lawsuit against Trojan. I don't know that boycotting the WSOP main event will get peoples' money back any faster, so either Phil is being a bit of a naive martyr or he's got an ulterior motive(?)
  11. Went well for the most part. Going to have a piece on it on the next web show. Appreciate the concern
  12. Wow, as soon I read what you wrote, I immediately had a memory of the film you're talking about. It was Superman II back in the early 80s. I saw it in the theater and I remember getting excited when I saw that line about Superman III. Talk about nostalgia!! lol
  13. Mark, that Indy list looks to have some serious potential! I saw Thor last week and really enjoyed it. For some reason, I felt this would not be received as well as some of the other superhero films, but I was wrong. Hemsworth did a great job, the story held my interest and the pacing of the film was good for a 2 hr flick. Just don't forget to stick around until after the credits for yet another Nick Fury sighting...this clip is a bit more revealing than what we saw at the end of Iron Man.
  14. Thanks bro!
  15. 3 FEET?? lol
  16. You got it! Thanks, my friend
  17. Thanks brother Pete!
  18. Clint has been turning out some great stuff in his latter years, too. Gran Torino was one of my favorite films of 2008 Really enjoyed Hereafter, which he directed and scored. Sands of Iwo Jima and Flags of our Fathers were both AMAZING, IMO. Mystic River was excellent I hope this guy finds a way to grit out another 20 years...he's one of my favorite actor/directors of all time
  19. I agree. It was just an impossible task for the prequels to ever live up to the OT, particularly the original two. The prequels had some really good elements here and there, but they just didn't endear you to them like the originals. That being said, my brother was an avowed prequel hater and was refusing to see episode III (Revenge of the Sith). I had just finished putting together my front projector and 133" screen at the time (I miss that theater room so much!), and I asked him to come watch the film with me if for no other reason than to check out my HT. Anyway, I laugh about it to this day, because he sat there during the second half of that film SWEARING that Spielberg (or someone else with a clue) MUST have given Lucas some direction, because it was so much better than most of the rest of the prequel material. I'm pretty lukewarm to "Clones", and I've re-watched that film far, far less often than the rest of them. But I liked Phantom Menace well enough, particularly the Darth Maul scenes, and loved ep III. You're exactly right about the casting, though. It just wasn't inspired at all. I loved the Liam Neeson choice, but he only made it through one film. Darth Maul should have stuck around, Jar Jar was rightfully downsized after "Phantom", and although Hayden did well after his turn in epIII, I think Lucas could have done a better job of finding someone a bit more charismatic. But yeah, you have one of the most iconic actors in the history of film - Mr Harrison Ford - in all three OT films...you just cannot replicate that, I don't care how hard you try. Star Wars without Han Solo just isn't the same.
  20. Well, let me say it this way then: The Gladiators at the Gwinnett Arena really bring me back to the days I used to go to Amerks games at the Rochester War Memorial in the 80s.
  21. I'd suggest you consider seeing the third prequel (Rise of the Sith) if you have even a remote interest in the franchise anymore. The second half of that film, IMO, was very intense. It also sort of sets up what you consider your favorite of all the star wars films, A New Hope
  22. The best hockey in Atlanta isn't being played at Philips Arena...it's at Gwinnett Arena. The Gwinnett Gladiators are where it's at! They just signed a new lease, so they aren't going anywhere...
  23. He did initially, but not anymore...lol And thanks again guys!
