  1. I would love to see us keep him around, but would rather not sign him long term. He's seemingly a positive locker room presence, so if he can give us another couple years of productivity while we're brining along the young'ns, I think that would be great. Seems like the guy wants to stay here, too, given his tweeting behavior.
  2. This draft was loaded with D talent...if they would have reached for a QB like other teams did and missed this opportunity, I would have been pretty pissed. I like this draft, and it seems like I keep hearing a lot of people talking about D'Norris Searcy. Something about this kid has people talking that he might end up being a steal, so he's one to keep our eyes on. Combine this class of D draft picks with the talent we have coming back off injury, and this D may do a complete about face. If Wanny can do his thing, our defense may end up being much better than people realize.
  3. When given run support that results in at least a 3+ run advantage, Tim Hudson of the Braves is 135 136 - 2 Also nice to see this years Rookie phenom starting to get hot...kudos to you, Mr Freeman! Hopefully our rookie phenom of LAST year can start staying healthy. Also, congrats to our closer-to-be, Johnny Venters, for having the lowest ERA in the game...a miniscule 0.47! If this team can learn to HIT, we're gonna make some serious noise in October.
  4. Si, senorita
  5. LOL, ain't that the truth! I've definitely been guilty of trying to circumvent the filter...in this case I was just trying to be clever since the post was about an "app"
  6. I thought most everyone had gone home, but a female coworker just asked me, "what are you laughing at?" I was so tempted...lol
  7. If you read my initial post, what I was most impressed with and the reason I thought this was truly remarkable was because of the voice recognition aspect. That didn't come out until 4 months ago. Not saying I would have known the difference if it HAD come out four years ago, as you asserted, but still... Yes, but only if you choose "English to Polish"
  8. From Wikipedia: The official iPhone app for Google Translate was released February 8, 2011. It accepts voice input for 15 languages and allows translation of a word or phrase into one of more than 50 languages. Translations can be spoken out loud in 23 different languages.[16]
  9. At least now we dont' have to wonder who holds the title for greatest lack of reading comprehension
  10. According to Wikipedia, Crapper also invented the ball-rooster
  11. Get him, Lana!!!
  12. You can blame Drew Bledsoe for that

  14. Nah, don't have much interest in wooing women who are 12 years older than me
  15. Oh, sorry lol...I just searched for "google translator" on my iPhone app interface and it pulled it up That is awesome! This voice recognition stuff has come along much further than I realized! It really is...my roomate is spanish speaking, so I was having some fun with it last night
  16. I must have been globally moderated
  17. Oh ok...was worried/confused for a minute there
  18. You planning to take a trip to the bush?
  19. Church Lady? Is that you?
  20. Calling this "common sense legislation" is an understatement. Throwing doobie smokers in jail is a complete disgrace. There are plenty of more important things that cops can be doing than harrassing pot smokers.
  21. lol, Wikipedia is my friend
  22. So a while back I came across the google translator site on the web. It was really cool, cause it would instantly converty anything you typed into the other language of your preference. Yesterday I thought I'd check and see if there was an iPhone app that related to this, and sure enough there it was. But the iPhone app takes it a step further into Star Trek "universal translator" capability. Maybe I'm just not current on the state of technology, but this thing lets you SPEAK into it, it understands what you say that then immediately translates it into another language. Not only that, but you can hit a button and it speaks it back to you in the other language. This is the coolest thing I've ever seen! You can literally go anywhere in the world and NEVER have a language barrier again! I don't understand why more people don't use this...I don't recall ever hearing about it, yet the implications of this technology are huge. I would feel MUCH safer goign to another country if I knew that I could always have a tool with me to communicate. It works very fast, so there is barely any delay at all in the process. Has anyone seen this? Am I just completely out of touch and this sort of technology is commonplace now?
  23. Sure would be nice if we had one of those "natural goal scorers" lol
