  1. I have no problem with someone who runs their mouth if they can back it up, but this kid really does need to get over himself. He majorly choked today against the Jets, and it wasn't the first time. A lot of people seem to put him in the same class as Brady, Manning, Brees, and Rodgers, but he's clearly not worthy of that company.
  2. You got that right!! I have become 100% addicted to this channel. It's like football crack. Non-stop football including EVERY score for 6+ hrs straight and no commercials. I feel so much more connected to the league this way. It's funny, cause when I watch the hightlight shows later in the day on Sundays and MOndays, I feel like I already saw EVERY single highlight when it actually happened.
  3. Watching that was the most fun I've had in a while lol....HAIL ALMIGHTY TEBOW!!!!
  4. That really is a shame...still, the single best image I've ever seen anywhere was on a Pioneer plasma with a bluray. It was just ridiculous how realistic it looked...almost as if I could reach into the screen and grab hold of the people. Those displays were worth every penny.
  5. I still stand by the same recommendations I've been making for the past five years: For LCD, I'd go Samsung. For Plasma, I'd go Panny. If you're just looking for a cheapo set, something to put in the house but not a set that you're going to invest a lot of money in, I think one of the budget brands are fine. But if you're looking to drop a few bills on your primary display, I firmly believe you're better off with the two suggestions above. I'm watching my 32" Sammy LCD that I bought back in late 2005 right now...the pic still looks as great as ever and not a single issue with it.
  6. It is hard to find. I was surprised to see it at one of the local grocery stores down here in ATL. I haven't tried it with Seagrams, but with bacardi the squirt makes for a really refreshing drink.
  7. You smell what the Ralph is cookin'?
  8. Point(s) taken...I don't want the NFL to resemble the WWE either. Maybe what it is that I'm looking for is more CANDOR.
  9. You ever tried substituting Squirt for 7?
  10. Absolutely! An ex-gf turned me on to it...something about Perkins beef gravy and their fries...it's really damn good. I really miss the days back home when my buds and I would hit the bars and then head over to Tahoes or Perkins...good times
  11. If anyone saw the banter between Norv Turner and Rex Ryan this week, it's exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. They each took a couple shots at each other, and it made for some entertaining discussion on sports radio this past week...now the game has a little more hype for Sunday...dig it?
  12. The movie needed to be edited down just a bit, but otherwise a very solid film....worth the price of admission for sure, although I don't know that I'd see it in 3D again. LOL Expendables 2 should be a fun ride now that Ahhhnold is free again. I heard that prima donna JCVD is reconsidering a role in the film, too. I grew up on Sly and Schwartenegger films, so can't wait to see it!
  13. Hey man, as long as you acknowledge the greatness of perkins (tuna melt with fries and a side of beef gravy, por favor!), you're okay in my book. As for deep fried butter....
  14. Very possible! I just remember how excited I used to get when I was a kid and we'd hit MickeyD's...my buddy and I used to get 8 cheeseburgers each after a track meet for the bus ride home and see who could put 'em down faster. But now, even when I'm hungry as hell, McDonalds is completely unpalatable. I don't remember if Steak 'n Shake is back up north, but that's about the best fast food burger I can find down here...delicious
  15. I honestly can't think of single reason to ever go to McDonalds again. I enjoy a burger from Wendy's from time to time, or maybe some Taco Bell, but McDonalds quality control started dropping drastically several years ago to the point where I have absolutely no desire to return.
  16. ironically enough, that was one of the most entertaining articles I've read in a long time lol...that guy should write for the Onion
  17. I'll have to pay more attention to that Giacchino guy then, cause I actually remember commenting to a friend of mine on the score for Up when we were watching it. I remember liking Ratatouille quite a bit, but I'll have to go back and listen to the music again...same with Star Trek. I had no idea Zimmer did the Gladiator music...I have that CD and it's amazing to listen to on a good system. It transcends the movie and seems to promote some really deep thought. I can just sit there and put it on, and I get lost in my own brain for the next hour or so. Come to think of it, there wasn't much about that film that wasn't really damn good. Gladiator is probably one of my top ten or fifteen films of all time...good stuff.
  18. I'll throw out a vote for Clint Eastwood. The music from Gran Torino, particularly as the credits were rolling, was very impressive and memorable. And of course I'd have to go with John Williams...I don't know how anyone could touch this guy, save for maybe Randy Newman. EDIT: Whoever did the score for Gladiator gets a huge nod of approval in my book, too...that was some amazing music!
  19. Perkins>Waffle House>IHOP>Dennys>Picard
  20. I had those for the first time recently, but it was only from Zaxbys...they were good, but I would love to have a better quality pickle...preferably a garlic pickle...used in the frying. Those cheap dill pickles most fast food places use are just nasty half the time.
  21. F-that!!!! Having that Dark Helmet looking sumbitch on the field was like playing defense with ten men instead of eleven! Whenever they showed a replay of an opponent TD, you always had Kelso just BARELY starting to come into the picture right as the replay ended.
  22. I've never thought of it as a chick drink, but the closest I get to it is a whiskey sour. The only "fruity" drink I like is an alabama slammer. Maybe a nice bacardi and squirt?
  23. I bought my first Fathead a few weeks ago....they have some great shots of stadiums now, and there was one of Turner Field at night during the NLDS a few years ago. I'm hoping they eventually come out with one of the Ralph!
