  1. I'll spell it out clearly for you. I - T I - S C - A - L - L - E - D A J - O - K - E If you notice something like a or a or even possibly a with a slight chance of a after a post, that means that you can review the post as a humorous statement, and you should not withdrawl stock or fill up on your heart medication because of said post. Follow these suggestions, and there will be happy, shinny people from endzone to endzone!
  2. Say what you want about the refs, etc. Althought valid, this game turned on one play. Willie Parker should have gotten the MVP one one play.
  3. Back up RB, but primarly used on special teams. Difference makers get drafted early.
  4. He had a couple of good returns, but he is very inconsistant. Especially at catching the ball off of punts/kickoffs.
  5. [believe everything you read on the internet]Those photos say they're from Wednesday. Probably his last night of partying. He'll be fine.[/believe everything you read on the internet]
  6. All I know is that this years lot of commercials will contain the fastest commercial, ever! Fast Commercial!
  7. I don't think this could ever work, as security, transportation issues, etc., would need to be handled much more in advance. If the SuperBowl Committee selects two cities for the upcoming year, meaning that Phoenix and San Diego were the cities up, AFC Wins the 2006 game, then San Diego gets the game, vica vers, etc.
  8. One reason why the Chargers are proud to select... Maurice Drew - RB - UCLA Special Teams Yes. His size is questioned, but the Chargers Special Teams were one of it's weakest links in 2005. Drew will immediately upgrade the position. And if a late touchdown is needed, and you have Reggie Bush and Maurice Drew deep, just the mere presence of Bush will open up lanes for Drew. Not to mention that Drew will be able to spell Bush at RB. He will surprise a lot of people.
  9. Ok. I know that this might appear to be a LAMP, and 99% will read the following and say, "BullS*%t!!!" Yet the following is 100% completely true. 1988. I'm working at Waterbeds and Stuff. They're sponsoring a charity event at the Amherst Marriot. The event is, "Come watch Monday Night Football with the Bills". I get there early. Bruce is sitting at the bar, drinking Diet Pepsi. Talley comes in, then Nate Odoms. Thurman comes in. A co-worker (who was extremely hot) Kelly comes in, with her friend, Patty. Patty is like, "did you go to Iroquois?" She graduated 2 years behind me. Anyhoo, at halftime, if you got 3 footballs through the tire toss thing, you would win tickets. I got 2 out of 3, and got a sweet pair of RayBan Sunglasses. As the 3rd quarter is starting, Kelly, Patty, Thurman and I are sitting at a booth. I get up to get drinks. I come back, and Thurman is wearing my RayBans. I'm like, "Hey man. Those are my glasses". Thurman smiles and says, "They were your glasses". Thurman then slips his number to Patty, by putting it directly in her jean skirt, and keeps his hand there for like 5 minutes. And if your thinking, well yep. That Patty is now Mrs. Patty Thomas. What does this mean to this thread? Thurman had his moments, no question. But when it comes right down to it, Thurman is not only a Hall of Fame player, but he is also a Hall of Fame person, for the simple fact that he loves to have fun, and his personality is very infectious!
  10. I would love to have a SuperBowl back in the Bay Area! What, it's gonna be in the high 60's, low 70's here tomorrow? Cancel Stanford (Take off that Red shirt) Stadium. Won't happen in Oakland. If the new 49ers stadium ever gets built, that's probably the best bet. Cal Memorial Stadium just isn't accessable enough for a SuperBowl (although Tightwad Hill would be an experience watching a Superbowl).
  11. None that I found in SF. Ricky's Sports Bar probably has the best wings I've had since I've moved out here. (If you can deal with all Raiders, all the time). McCovey's in Walnut Creek also has not only really good wings, but just about everything on their menu is top notch (if you can deal with all Giants, all the time).
  12. Chicken Wings made the REAL Buffalo way. (Only 2 places that I've found in the Bay Area make chicken wings worthy of the name). Pillsbury biscuits, with Ham and Cheese and Sausage and Cheese stuffed in before baking. Little Smokies with BBQ Sauce in a crock pot. Friends are bringing various other dishes. Hodge podge of various beers, but the "main course" of beers contains: Maudite La Fin du Monde Trois Pistoles and for those who are not as bold, Blanche de Chambly Say what you want about drinking all Quebec beers, they're really, really, damn good!!!
  13. I'm subscribed with a small cable company. They don't offer NHL Centre Ice. We have internet with this company, but I'm seeing Comcast offering live webcasts of NHL Games, and I've been seeing some Sabres games offered. Anyone have this? Good quality? etc.
  14. Doesn't the NFL have a minimum attendance rule also? If that is the case, count out Toronto. Rogers Centre does not have the minimum capacity. (65,000 I think). The dome in Vancouver might meet the 65,000 capacity rule.
  15. http://football.about.com/od/nfldraft/a/nfldrafttoppros.htm Harris is listed as #21 overall
  16. In the skin options area, you can go into the boards HTML, then into Forum view options, and edit out the post counts. I've done something similar by editing out the subforums listed in Forum options.
  17. And I missed a quote too. (Is it 15 seconds yet?)
  18. 591866[/snapback] BUT I HAVE NO PATIENCE YO!!! And, you may have missed a quote. You are right. When I started my reply, I did not read the follow up posts. I guess I made your point perfectly clear.
  19. A member on my board lives in Atlanta. They have season tickets to the Thrashers, and usually takes a ton of pics. Since there are a few Sabres fans over there, we had this person take requests as to whom we wanted to see! So, follow the below link to my board, and see some of the pics. This person posted about 20 pics, but as was stated, over 100 were taken, and more will probably be posted tomorrow. Some are really good pics, and you'll be happy to see them! Sabres/Thrashers pictures.
  20. I wasn't trying to lecture, and I apologize if it came across that way. One common problem with all message boards, is that they're black and white. (Emotions are generally void on a computer screen). The first post read where Kelly thought it should be a rule that every post is read. I went with what was typed. Very well stated. Dan mentioned that we live in a "me" generation (or words to that effect). I would add that we also live in a generation where patience is a low commodity. When there is a thread of 50 or so replies, the first inclination is to blow past the majority of the posts, and try to get the "cliff notes". To what Dan and Kelly said, if you do this, you will miss the meat of the thread, and will ultimately restate the obvious. I see what has been happening in this post, as a plea from Kelly that although this is a smooth sailing ship, he forsees some rough seas, and is trying to stear around them by taking a very long path. What I was trying to say is that sometimes the seas are not so rough. Ok. All that water reference stuff was "ugh". Hell knows I've been already convicted of this! Yet it is always helpful to talk about circumstances, be it small or big, to smooth things out. (Or this edit to say, figure things out).
