Why not buy your first house at 56 years old

If I'm such a master, why does my wife insist on me adressing her by "your majesty"? -

I'm a certified Master Gardner from the University of California. There are at least 10 pine trees that need to come down. The thing is a couple of them are right on power lines. So I'm looking at over $10,000 to take those trees down professionally. Good thing I'm consulting. -
And people think I drink too much...

Isn't that your son?

GDT: USFL Championship - BHM vs PIT 8pm NBC

I'll be drinking at an illegal fireworks display. More entertaining. -
We got there just before 8 pm last night. 3 of us. We were told an hour wait for a table. Then 3 people got up from the bar. I grabbed those seats. Total wait time, 2 minutes.

My 23 yr old stepdaughter is hella smart, and I am grateful for that. We were going to set up a dining room in one of the downstairs bedrooms that don't have doors. Just like the previous owner and previous owners before them. She says, "You don't use your dining room table except for putting mail and packages on it. You use it to eat on maybe twice a year. Why don't we just make it into Ken's office?" The end result: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1TDl0wQoyHXY2NRi1lhYJgPa-XmjDHxvV?usp=sharing -

My wife and I decided on one thing. We're never moving again. Moving blows. The end result is worth it though. -

I'm on the other side of the village of OP. Sure you can park here, but it's one hell of a walk to the game. -

Done and very good. -
(In East Aurora) Just a couple of buildings down and across the street, Misters has some pretty decent hamburgers.
-
We have already moved. Been in the new house one week. I go to East Aurora for Valu Home Center, Bank of America ATM, and Leo's Pizza. Now just need Bar Bill.
-
I now live about 5 minutes from the EA Bar Bill. For all the time I have been in the area, I have never eaten there. Now there's no excuse.

Thank you! Mortgages don't scare us, but a 4 plex down the road is a sound investment plan. Exactly -

We're buying based on location. It's the halfway point between the villages of Orchard Park and East Aurora. 7 minutes from Route 400. Nice and easy. As for the house, I was thinking of this huge expansion. But now that we're in it, it really doesn't need much. We would like to put dormers on the upstairs to give it 2 proper bedrooms and add a bathroom. As for the downstairs, maybe a new garage attached to the house for my wife during the winters. Thank you! -

If you want to, you will! -
Ok. The back story. I'm bipolar. Diagnosed and all that. Not a big secret as my life is pretty much an open book. Back in my 20's, 30's, and early 40's, any income I had went to bars, dinners, etc. Rent and such be damned! (Such as the life of one with Bipolar). Fast forward to the mid-'40s, and I found a psychiatrist who authorized a medication I was aware of that had good success with others with the same diagnosis. Now 8 years on that medication, and I could actually pay rent and the like. Not only that, but I can actually hold down a good job for more than 3 months at a time. So yeah. My wonderful wife and I are buying our first house together. She is a previous homeowner with her prior husband. But for me? First-time homebuyer. No time like the present yo.

I'll say, it's not a bad effort at all! I'm personally just not a fan of the blue helmet concept.
