  1. Yes, the Bills have a tendency to screw up these kinds of situations. Having extra high picks can make a team more willing to take "risks" with their picks, i.e., picking John McCargo with an extra first-rounder. That said, they brought real quality into the scouting and personnel department this offseason, so I'm cautiously optimistic...
  2. Folks joke about the constant discussion of comp picks around here - but if the Bills DON'T take steps to get that late 3rd round pick, after yesterday's trades, I'm going to be absolutely livid. And as I type that, I know that they'll end up keeping that human pylon Ducasse and ruin their chance to get that extra 3rd. Because Buffalo.
  3. It's the grammar that pisses me off more than anything, there. Also - I don't think it was "injuries" per se. I think it was controllability, including with respect to his training and workout regimen. Sammy refuses to take direction about how to prepare his body during the offseason and, combined with the explosive way he plays, it results in significant wear and tear on his lower body. I don't know, but I'd be willing to bet, that the new training staff already had become exasperated by Sammy's lack of buy-in to their strength and conditioning program. Still hate the trade, though...
  4. On the bright side, we finally got Sammy into space...
  5. The Bills will not unearth another talent like Sammy in a very long time.
  6. Also - not for nothing, but if you follow the Bills on Instagram you know that they've been featuring Sammy in their marketing pretty much non-stop for the entire offseason. I'm telling you, consumer fraud.
  7. John! I love you man - never stop.
  8. If signability was a concern why didn't they exercise the option????
  9. What are you talking about? Golden State isn't in Cleveland's DIVISION
  10. No that's not the issue. They were informed not involved. But they never should've sanctioned this entire program.
  11. Right, I said that earlier. They may just be waiting out Brady.
  12. Really bad owners which is a shame because they seem like good people. But they hired/retained bad GMs who were in over their heads and then let those GMs plunder their way through lost season after lost season in the NFL and NHL, and I've seen no sign that they're learning.
  13. Yup. And after two years of the 3-13 seasons we're about to see, and as lease negotiations bog down amid a rioting fanbase, those knees are going to jerk again and chase another shiny object GM/coach pairing.
  14. Oh I'm sure that is the case. But I doubt Terry has the discipline to see this through. No way Beane and McD survive this.
  15. Correct. They just killed Tyrod's career and my concern is they may not even know it - they may genuinely believe this could work. Think about how terrifying that is.
  16. And what's with this "scheme fit" nonsense? Who was it who decided to bring in coaches with schemes that are apparently so inflexible we have to trade away our best young players? I'm telling you this is madness. And Beane is naive if he thinks Terry has the patience for a four year rebuild. Not a chance.
  17. Folks hyping up Matthews because of his "availability" don't understand the impact that Sammy had on opposing defenses who had to gameplan for him and account for him on every play. Matthews is a JAG. Defenses can now key on Tyrod and Shady, and both will have a very difficult time being successful this season.
