  1. This doesn't give me a lot of hope that he'll be back in time for either The Colts or The Saints 😔
  2. Pretty simple reasoning - he gets paid a lot more being on a 53 man roster than he does on the Practice Squad. And Barkley doesn't have a whole lot of opportunities left to see playing time in the NFL. If you're him, you're going to jump at the chance to play. Even if it's with a bad team.
  3. Earlier I said OBJ to Buffalo made no sense. Now? We can't run block or run the ball. Teams aren't afraid of or respect our RB's. And for good reason. No way to fix either of those issues in FA now. Teams know all we can do is pass. So F it. Yeah, we're gonna pass and you know we're gonna pass. But when we're sending Diggs, Beckham, Beasley, and Sanders or combinations thereof - good luck either way.
  4. You can say it's the O-Line. But the fact remains, if you have a stud back there - they're still going to respect the guy. Even with bad run blocking, as one dimensional as we are, there should still be plays to be made with teams keying in on our passing game. And there aren't. Ever. You can put the focus on the O-Line. But no one is scared of Devin Singletary or Zack Moss and it shows.
  5. How? You expect us to say they're performing well? Or maybe you expect us to stay positive after dropping two of our last three and just losing to the f'n Jacksonville Jaguars. Get real.
  6. Can't pass block. Can't run the ball, even though we're entirely one dimensional so even with bad run blocking - there should be plays to be made. We've got serious problems right now. This offseason I questioned Beane's decision to keep everything the same with the Offensive Line and the Backfield and expect improvement. Said often "he better be right about this or it's going to look real bad on him". Right now? It's looking REAL bad on him.
  7. I don't see him being claimed on waivers. Taking on that contract for a guy who would most likely pull a Dri Archer if it's some place he doesn't want to to go seems unlikely. Also I'd bet that his agent is letting it known behind the scenes that Odell wants to pick his destination and that he may not show up if you claim him.
  8. Considering Brandon Beane's emphasis on character, our cap space, and our depth chart at WR - I don't get how we're so high on this list....
  9. I doubt anyone puts a claim in for him on Waivers. They'd have to pick up his hefty contract and unless it's a team he wants to go to - good chance he pulls a Dri Archer and doesn't report. I'd bet his agent is putting that out there. My guess is he goes to New Orleans or Las Vegas. New Orleans was trying to swing a trade for him at the deadline (boy does Cleveland look dumb for not pulling the trigger on that now), they have a big hole since Michael Thomas is out for the year, and is New Orleans, LA. Las Vegas didn't have a great WR core before the Henry Ruggs tragedy happened, is a contender this year, and is Las Vegas, NV.
  10. 😆 Maybe if they meant a 2nd for D'Andre Swift.
  11. Looking at the cars, it's a legit miracle he survived. Terrible he allegedly took a life under the influence. If they can prove it, his career is over.
  12. And Mitch Morse standing there blocking no one 🤦
  13. If they can all stay healthy, I think the best combination this season is Dawkins-Boettger-Morse-Williams-Brown anyways. Think it's time to see what Jamil Douglas can offer. Can't imagine he'd be a downgrade from what Feliciano and Ford have given us this year.
  14. If we're living in fantasy land where Brandon Beane goes against his philosophy in not spending big money or draft picks on a RB - Saquon Barkley. Though a more realistic move that i'd be pleased with would be Alexander Mattison.
  15. I'm not dealing him if i'm Buffalo. Mitch could keep us competitive if something were to happen to Josh. Jake Fromm or Davis Webb... not so much. And there's no one out there on the market that could offer what he could either. I doubt they'd even call anyways. Taysom Hill will be ready to go by the next game and they (foolishly) think he's a star QB in the making.
  16. I found myself wondering as the game went on - which is the better call? Replacing Spencer Brown with Tommy Doyle? or Shifting Daryl Williams from RG to RT, shifting Jon Feliciano from LG to RG, and replacing Feliciano at LG with Ike Boettger? Seems like you're messing with continuity quite a bit doing all of that.
  17. I don't think it's crazy that he's active. I'm kind of expecting it. It's either him or Morris and Warring has more experience. Also has been in the building for a couple months - so he probably has a grasp on how the offense works by now. He has impressive skills and was drafted above Dawson in the 3rd Round. I don't think he'll outsnap Tommy Sweeney, however. Sweeney's been active as the only other TE on the roster while Warring's been on the Practice Squad. If they saw Warring as a better option than Sweeney, it would have been the other way around by now.
  18. I don't know why he didn't just say "I'm not the General Manager of this team". Seems like an easy out. I'd just say: "He and I discuss a lot of scenarios. The likely and the very unlikely alike. And I'd like to think he bases some of his decisions off these discussions. But they're always hypothetical, until they're not. When he makes a move, he'll talk to me a little just before it goes down to make sure we're on the same page. But I'm not the General Manager of this team. I'm not looking over his shoulder all day, asking for updates on everything he's doing and looking into. I'm focusing on coaching the players I have and the day to day that goes with that."
  19. He's their speedster deep threat option and he's been doing good for them in that role. Guy thinks at 34 years old, midseason, he's going to be traded somewhere and be their #1 option? And why would you want to be moved off one of the best teams in the league? Dude's delusional.
  20. That leaves us with just Tommy Sweeney for the time being. Hope he steps up. Wonder who comes up from the Practice Squad? Is it Quintin Morris or Kahale Warring? Warring is intriguing. He was taken the same year and same round as Dawson, but drafted higher. With us bringing him on our Squad post Training Camp - he was obviously someone Beane liked coming out. Wonder if he would have been taken instead of Dawson Knox if he were still on the board?
  21. Yeah man, that's all a Defensive End does. Hand in the dirt and push forward. There's no symmetry with the DT's at all. No shifting inside or out. No scheming routes on run plays or Tight Ends. What's the point of playbooks, game plans, and Defensive coordinators? I mean, why even have practice or Training Camp for that position? 🙄 This is like saying Offensive Lineman just line up and block. You're completely oversimplifying and almost insulting what DE's and coaches do with that post.
  22. We already have 6 DE's. We're not bringing in a 7th that would have to get familiarized with the scheme and playbook midseason. And even if we were inclined to do it - why would he sign on to be part of a 7 man rotation when he'd surely get more playing time almost anywhere else?
  23. For the love of God, it's Star Lotulelei pronounced Iike Low-too-la-lay. Not Low-too-la-lay-lay. I know it's not easy to pronounce but these announcers are constantly adding letters that just aren't there.
  24. How are the Bucs not on this list?
