  1. But Turner has been widely criticized in SD for not running it enough and focusing far more on Rivers than Tomlinson. Many SD players have said that they used to have an attitude and would take the fight to the other team, now they are far too passive. I'm not sure Turner is the answer. If Ralph wants to keep the fans on board, he needs to put his money where his mouth is....we don't have the talent...fine, go get it. Bring in Peppers, Dansby and Haynesworth. I think fans would see visions of the 85 Bears D dancing in their heads. Money talks Ralph....you said we didn't have the talent. Check, your move.
  2. I'm willing to bet Russ Grimm would be a pretty good head coach in Buffalo and that our team would not be considered "soft" for very long.
  3. Absolutely right!! Why, just the other day I was reading this article about how Peyton Manning triple locks his doors because he is so afraid of Tony Dungy coming to his house to chew him out on a regular basis...
  4. More disturbing is the Edwards injury...WTF did he do to himself? He needs more reps than anyone.
  5. I would pay to be able to throw shoes at Turk Schonert. Hey maybe thats how Ralph could finance bringing in a real coaching staff.
  6. There is plenty of blame to go around, and Wall Street will get its fair share, but lets not forget about the folks who spent far more money on their homes, cars, credit cards etc. than they could ever hope to repay.
  7. One other thing about the play call....the play was designed to be a pass to the fullback...who was not even on the roster earlier this year. I can almost see a short pass to Lynch or Evans, your two biggest stars and playmakers, if they are really selling out against the run. But the fullback??? Sorry, this smacks of wicky wacky mularkey and the Travis Henry halfback option in Miami. Yes, the call is that bad.
  8. I didn't see this posted, but here goes... While technically correct, Schonert should have been asked why even put Losman in that situation. I am so f*cking sick of watching OC's try and show everyone how smart they are by throwing all the friggin time. Sometimes, simple works. Look at Pittsburgh. 9. And they let you have a vote...at least there is an explanation for the sorry state this country is in.
  10. I'm with you...as long as we apply the same logic to every homeowner who bought more house than they could afford, spent more on credit cards, bought expensive cars/boats/crap that they are now whining about having to pay back.
  11. Lets not go to biblical extremes. The "bonus" is built into the compensation package for most. They are middlemen, but the good ones produce wealth, shine lights on inefficiencies and bad management. We can have this discussion in another thread, don't want to hijack.
  12. Gotta disagree with you there, the good ones make boatloads of money for their firms and investors.
  13. What other massive bonuses received by other companies?
  14. Albert Haynesworth earns an A+. So does Kris Jenkins. I thought his grades very fair.
  15. Let me add that in 2001 the Bills picked 14th, traded down with TB to 21 to get Clements. The guy who went 17th....Steve Hutchinson.
  16. Did that last weekend for the neutral-site game. Problem is I have tix for 2/3 games.
  17. Cowher isn't coming here. I doubt MS will either. But what about Russ Grimm? I could live with that.
  18. If Scottenheimer or Cowher would not come here, would anyone have a problem with Russ Grimm? You know the team would run the ball aggressively and he wouldn't tand for soft players. He'd also show a boatload of emotion if thats a criteria.
  19. Yep...Kent Hull II.
  20. Was there for 10 days for my honeymoon. We went to that beach, there is a bar at the far corner. You enjoy local rum punch and watch the landings. It was pretty cool.
  21. Who cares? I wouldn't be watching.
  22. I think it depends who is in Kelly's crowd. Off the top of my head, Bob Rich and Jeremy Jacobs have that kind of coin and are Buffalo-based guys.
  23. I took my wife and 3 year old son to Rockefeller Center on Sunday to see the tree, go ice skating and then headed out to Radio City Music Hall to see the Christmas Show. We had a great time. I checked my blackberry about a half dozen times, saw we were awful and turned it off. I didn't miss much. Didn't watch a lick of NFL (I only make the Bills must-see TV). I wonder if thats what Sundays will be like if this team moves to Toronto.
  24. I'll also add my plug for Operation Santa run by the NY Post Office (and in some other cities, through their post offices). My wife and I have answered a few letters every year for the past decade. Its a great, direct-benefit thing you can do at Christmas to make someone's Christmas a truly Merry Christmas. Many of the letters are from truly needy kids, asking for things like a winter coat and shoes. You really haven't seen true gratitude in someone's face until you show up and deliver gifts (they can also be mailed, at a significantly reduced rate). Operation Santa Recent News Article
  25. He's being honest and is, in fact, correct. I respect honesty, rather than false hope optimism.
