$500, which was cheap, field championship level, Box number 62 (7 rows behind the Yankee dugout), Diamondback at Yankees, 2001 World Series, Game 4. Yanks down 3-1 in the bottom of the 9th, about to go down 3 games to 1 in the Series, BAM! the Tino HR to tie in the bottom of the 9th. In the 10th, Jeter becomes Mr. November winning it with an opposite field dinger. Greatest baseball game I ever saw. Yankee Stadium shook like no event I had ever attended that night...so much raw release of emotion after 9/11.

Wonder if Obama will define "middle class" the way this report did? Middle Class in NYC = 123k a year... http://www.nydailynews.com/money/2009/02/0..._six_figur.html

If we assume Sully was facing south, and the plane was over the GW bridge (since that was the direction he was traveling when he "landed" on the Hudson), Teterboro is NW of where the plane was, Newark is SW. If Sully's momentum was heading S, then Newark may have been more feasible than Teterboro, even though Teterboro is much closer in distance to the GW bridge.

FAA released the cockpit recordings...Capt. Sully was cool as ice...WOW! http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2009/0...omed_us_-4.html

Damn...taking me back...Brazillian girls....lots of fun, spent 4 weeks partying my a$$ off in Brazil in the mid-90s...then proceeded to Argentina for 4 weeks of R&R. After the constant party in Brazil (which absolutely rocked), 4 weeks in Argentina, meeting classy, more sophisticated women was a lot of fun. They can party too, you just have to loosen them up a bit. Wow, hadn't thought bout those 2 months in a long time before reading your post. South America is so much fun. No experience with Columbian girls, I'll have to take your word for it.

Micheal Phelps' new training regime
bills_fan replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Just to take a stab at answering your query... Yes, it is the norm for folks to smoke weed. In my experience the peak ages would be 16-25, after 25 folks tend to be more cautious in acquiring it, thereby leading to less smoking of weed. I know I am generalizing, but this has been the experience of myself and many friends who enjoy the occasional toke. As to whetehr it is "all right...after all its just pot," that really is a matter of personal choice. I have many friends who have never smoked pot and some who still enjoy it, daily. In this country, weed was legal until the mid-1930s. The outlaw of marijuana is clouded by rascism and yellow journalism (see link below), in the US. I'm not certain of its history in Canada. IMHO, I will see it legalized, taxed and regulated for recreational use in my lifetime. Given this history, I never had a problem enjoying a good toke. Decent read below... http://blogs.salon.com/0002762/stories/200...anaIllegal.html -
Micheal Phelps' new training regime

True, I was hoping for a "I already am worth over $100 mil, so yeah, every now and then I enjoy a toke. So what?" -
Single malt is definately the way to go. In addition, to the LaGavulin mentioned (my fav) and Balvenie Doublewood, also try LaPhroiag or Bushmills 16 year...both excellent. As far as blends, the only blends that can really compare (in quality and complexity) to a single malt that I have had would be JW Green/Blue or Dewars 12 yr., as far as likely to be readily available.

Didn't even know that regarding "celebs". I was with 3 other guys in Seattle for a conference, it was the place the concierge recommended. We loved it. The Seahawks were actually doing a charity fundraiser there the night we showed up. Ordering off a special menu (never saw or had a bone-in filet before, terrific), we also participated in a silent auction etc. Mack Strong was our waiter. Good food and a real nice atmosphere. -

Haven't been there, but Metropolitan Grill in your city, Seattle, is just a terrific restaurant. -

If I get back out there, I will try your recommendation. Tadich was my favorite, that long counter was great if you were there alone and ended up having random conversations. -

Which midtown joints disappointed you? Just curious as I enjoy great restaurants and have tried most of them. EDIT: In SF I really enjoyed Tadich Grill, Bix, Cornelian Room and Cliff House. John's Grill was mixed, sometimes good and sometimes not. Aqua and that underwater-boat-place in the harbor (forget the name) were disappointments. Suprisingly, the little restaurant at the top of the Mark Hopkins served a terrific Sunday brunch. I know because I lived at that hotel for 4 months. -

I love SF, spent approximately a total of 4 months out there on two separate occasions for work over the past few years. Fantastic place with terrific restaurants. Only complaint from a NYC guy was that they all closed so damn early. Town shuts down by 11 PM during the week. Gotta show my east coast bias here and say NYC has the best restaurants in the world. -
Anyone know anything about this guy? First I've really heard of him.

Getting through....???? Tell that to the one on your list who McGahees his knee next year, costing himself millions of guaranteed dollars, all while the school earns an a$$load of money off this kid via performance on the field, jersey sales and BCS bowl appearances due to play of 1st round picks. These kids should get the $$ while they can, any agent who is not advising a potential client of that (especially in football) is grossly negligent. -
It was a "double bird strike," per this report... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/plane_in_river
