Once you go black, you don't go back
bills_fan replied to Fingon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The first time I saw the Chappell KKK skit, I was laughing so hard I was literally crying. Chappell is one of the funniest comedians I have ever seen. I found a part of it on youtube... Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzDDyvu3goU The full version... http://www.metacafe.com/watch/291638/clayton_bigsby/ -
Edwards or Hamdan will start this week
bills_fan replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its Edwards per Rotoworld, JP to 3rd string... -
Yeah, but this seems to be almost more of a documentary.

Check out this trailer and the information on the site. Its enough to get your mind wondering. http://www.bloodline-themovie.com/

And spending is so far up. I am really disappointed by Patterson here. This budget is a joke. Two quick fixes... Public employees are currently required to contribute 3% of their annual income toward their pensions...but only first the first 10 years of employement. WTF? Who even comes up with that? Make the 3% for the term of employment, save billions. Medicaid eligibility thresholdss make NYS the largest state spender on Medicaid nationally, spending approximately $45.4 billion. By contrast, California (certainly not a conservative state), a state with twice the population of NY, spends $39 billion. Adopt California's eligibility thresholds, save billions. Budget crisis solved for years.

Can I vote for you? You had me at "balance the budget." The problem is no candidate express these philospohies, they are all beholden to the hard-core right and left wingers that get them into office. This is one big reason I am considering supporting Kennedy for Senate, she is not beholden to anyone.

Albert Haynesworth UFA thanks to PROWBOWL Nomination
bills_fan replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
C'mon Ralph...you said we didn't have the talent. Now put your money where your mouth is....we're waiting.... -
Not sure what type of Senator she would make. I think she would be extreme, either wildly successful or a total disaster. I like the fact that she is not beholden to special interests right now. Could she fight for NY and be tough when necessary? Not sure.

Cutting the funds rate again...?
bills_fan replied to blzrul's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
that is because the Fed has lost control of short term interest rates (if they ever had it in the first place). The market has essentially stopped listening when the Fed cuts rates. If the Fed wants to bring down borrowing costs it must do an asset purchase, like it did a couple of weeks back with the MBS purchase. -
Judge signs order to protect Madoff investors.
bills_fan replied to Tux of Borg's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I read that and its based upon the theory of fraudulent conveyance. My question is if you withdrew funds and paid taxes on the moeny, would the taxes not also be a fraudulent conveyance? And, if so, recoverable in bankruptcy? -

You mean like these folks.... http://www.nypost.com/seven/12162008/news/...hing_144414.htm How about the charities he defrauded, theya re some of the biggest victims. SAR Academy, a Jewish day school in The Bronx, is believed to have lost up to $4 million in endowment money placed with the firm. The Chais Family Foundation, which gave more than $12 million annually to Jewish causes in Israel and Europe, has already shuttered its doors because of its losses. Two Manhattan-based civil-liberties groups - the JEHT Foundation and The Rockit Fund - said they were set to close in January because of the fraud. C'mon you're better than this jealousy-fueled rant. This was a crime of epic proportions and everyone hurting from it deserves some sympathy. -
The Grimm Reaper!!! Hire Russ Grimm! I have no faith in our ability to find good coaches, so I'm going to piggyback on Pittsburgh's ability to find good coaches. There were 3 finalists for the Steelers job, Grimm, Whisenhut and Tomlin. Rooney went on record saying any of the three would have been a great choice. Tomlin has been wildly successful. Whisenhut has been very successful. Grimm would still be available for a HC job. Grimm would take no sh*t, he'd have the team physically well-prepared to play and he believes in running the ball. The guy is a Hall of Fame OL who has won super bowls. He learned in the Pittsburgh system of dominating the line of scrimmage. Now, he has the Arizona OL playing well. This is the guy for me....Russ Grimm!!!

ST. Maarten is really one of my favorite places on earth, just a great vibe and a lot of fun, not to mention fantastic food and drink.

But Turner has been widely criticized in SD for not running it enough and focusing far more on Rivers than Tomlinson. Many SD players have said that they used to have an attitude and would take the fight to the other team, now they are far too passive. I'm not sure Turner is the answer. If Ralph wants to keep the fans on board, he needs to put his money where his mouth is....we don't have the talent...fine, go get it. Bring in Peppers, Dansby and Haynesworth. I think fans would see visions of the 85 Bears D dancing in their heads. Money talks Ralph....you said we didn't have the talent. Check, your move.
-
I'm willing to bet Russ Grimm would be a pretty good head coach in Buffalo and that our team would not be considered "soft" for very long.
-
Absolutely right!! Why, just the other day I was reading this article about how Peyton Manning triple locks his doors because he is so afraid of Tony Dungy coming to his house to chew him out on a regular basis...
-
More disturbing is the Edwards injury...WTF did he do to himself? He needs more reps than anyone.

Iraqi journalist throws shoes at Pres. Bush
bills_fan replied to Justice's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I would pay to be able to throw shoes at Turk Schonert. Hey maybe thats how Ralph could finance bringing in a real coaching staff. -
There is plenty of blame to go around, and Wall Street will get its fair share, but lets not forget about the folks who spent far more money on their homes, cars, credit cards etc. than they could ever hope to repay.

One other thing about the play call....the play was designed to be a pass to the fullback...who was not even on the roster earlier this year. I can almost see a short pass to Lynch or Evans, your two biggest stars and playmakers, if they are really selling out against the run. But the fullback??? Sorry, this smacks of wicky wacky mularkey and the Travis Henry halfback option in Miami. Yes, the call is that bad.
-
I didn't see this posted, but here goes... While technically correct, Schonert should have been asked why even put Losman in that situation. I am so f*cking sick of watching OC's try and show everyone how smart they are by throwing all the friggin time. Sometimes, simple works. Look at Pittsburgh. Bailout Deal Looks Dead
bills_fan replied to molson_golden2002's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm with you...as long as we apply the same logic to every homeowner who bought more house than they could afford, spent more on credit cards, bought expensive cars/boats/crap that they are now whining about having to pay back. -
Bailout Deal Looks Dead
bills_fan replied to molson_golden2002's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Lets not go to biblical extremes. The "bonus" is built into the compensation package for most. They are middlemen, but the good ones produce wealth, shine lights on inefficiencies and bad management. We can have this discussion in another thread, don't want to hijack. -

Gotta disagree with you there, the good ones make boatloads of money for their firms and investors.
