Hey, maybe he can eat up some space against the run. It says he was pretty good at clogging up running lanes. With the rest of our D overpursuing, and allowing huge cutback lanes, maybe this guy can help shore things up. Give him a chance.

The thing is, even with Losman, if TC had called Willis' number a few more times in the NO game, I think we win that one. If Willis had 31 carries against that run D, we'd be 3-2 with me playing QB.

I could see a shake out like this... LT - 1st Round Draft Pick LG - Gandy/Anderson C - Preston RG - Villarial RT - MW Villarial & MW worked well last year together, and I think they will this year again. They just need to stay healthy. As for DT, I agree, one of our biggest needs. Either a FA (although if we tag or re-sign NC, we won't have much $$ left over), or a 2nd Rd Draft Pick. I think spending some picks on D (except the 1st rder) will pay major dividends in the years to come. We need a DT, CB, S, and LB. I think Posey will be gone with Haggan or Crowell stepping in. Behind NC & McGee we are a bit thin at CB with Thomas out. S is self explanatory. We may have top wait a year to draft Fletcher's replacement, as we have too many other needs. Just my $.02

Run Willis 4xs. Then the next time you're down there, run Willis 4xs again. This includes all 2nd and 1, 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 plays (on their side of the 50 for the 4th and 1). You want to be a power running team (and I love that philosophy & think its the best way to go), then put your money where your mouth is.

Couldn't agree more. McGahee should be getting 30-35 carries a game. Eventually the D will wear down and we'll be hitting for 10-15 yds a pop. That opens up the play action, stalls the rush etc. Instead Clements wants JP to fake everyone out. Just awful.

Ya know, this is a familiar refrain. Why are we always begging for coaches to run the friggin ball. First it was Killdrive, now friggin Clements. I wish w'd re-hire Joe Pendry, at least he believed in running the ball. At all levels of football, the team that runs the best, usually wins. This is not rocket science. You're right, it doesn't. But I think that there is an incredible amount of frustration amongst Bills fans, myself included. Not making the playoffs this century has everything to do with it.

He is a very solid LB. No question. But, with the limited amount of cap space available, and having Crowell (if he plays well) in the wings and Nate to re-sign, he may be the victim of a numbers game, same as Trey Teague.

I agree with this statement completely. Fox or Lewis would have had this team in the playoffs by now. We would not have had to change coaches and then wait for the new system to click etc.

Fact: This century there are only seven NFL teams not to make the playoffs. Name them..... Cincinnati (That looks to change this year) Washington (Thanks Snyder) Jacksonville (Very close) Houston (No clue, but expansion) Arizona Detroit and yes our Bills. The second winningest organization of the 1990s, if officially one of the sorriest franchises this century. Thats how I'm judging ole Whitey.
