Let's say the Bills win this week....
bills_fan replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, in fact the Bills have an excellent chance to win 2/3, then the schedule gets nasty. Then we'll really see what this team is made of. -
Period. The End. Give me one title, and 5 years of 3-13 rebuilding uversus no titles and 5 years of 10-6 or 11-5 in the playoffs. See Ravens, Baltimore, Super Bowl Champs 2000 You gonna tell me that if the Illegal Forward Pass was properly called in Tennessee in 1999, we wouldn't have rolled thru the AFC playoffs that year, just like the Titans, and gone Mano y Mano with the Rams? I think so. Would we have won? Who knows, but we'd have had one helluva shot. He forgot one thing, you have to be in the playoffs first. Really? The window is almost closed. Lose Nate after this offseason and you're in big trouble. He's a true shutdown corner who graded out last year as #1 in NFL. Adams, Fletcher, Milloy are all FA after the 06 season, thats the heart of our D. TKO, who knows if he'll ever be the same. I disagree with the second part. Sorry. And to the original poster.... Scott Pioli Bill Polian Ozzie Newsome Bill Cowher Andy Reid Rich McKay Floyd Reese Shall I continue???

Give me your state of the Bills, but do it in song (I know we did this last year and but it was fun). Here's mine... Bye, Bye Super Bowl Dream A long, long time ago I can still remember How the Bills used to make me smile And I knew if we had one more chance That Marv could make our fans dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while But now the Bills make me shiver With every loss they deliver Bad news on the doorstep I can’t watch one more rep I can't remember if I cried When that god damn kick sailed just wide But something touched me deep inside The day the dream died So bye, bye Super Bowl Dream Drove my Chevy to the Ralph for Whitey’s regime Them good old boys at the Big Tree did scream Screamin' this’ll be the day, a win for our team, This’ll be the day, a win for our team Did you watch without saying God Almighty And do you have faith in Flighty Whitey If ole Ralph tells you so And do you believe in running the ball Is our D headed for a mighty fall And can blocking be taught by a man named McNally In 04 I knew Mularkey liked to gamble 'Cause why else, would Drew have to scramble You knew it was 4th and three Man, I just have to disagree But our team made a little luck And Willis ran like a Mack truck But then Willie Parker ran amuck The day the dream died I started singin' Bye, bye Super Bowl Dream Drove my Chevy to the Ralph for Whitey’s regime Them good old boys at the Big Tree did scream Screamin' this’ll be the day, a win for our team, This’ll be the day, a win for our team Now for five years we've been a joke And Whitey’s team sure knows how to choke But that's not how it used to be When Kelly played for Marv and Bill In a scheme that gave us such a thrill The Ralph rocked, cause of you and me Oh and while the opponents were looking around Kelly led the Bills to the holy ground 51-3 and the game was adjourned A decisive verdict was returned And while an injured Kelly sat one out Frank Reich proved more than stout The Greatest Comeback left no doubt The day the dream never died We were singin' Bye, bye Super Bowl Dream Drove my Chevy to the Ralph for Whitey’s regime Them good old boys at the Big Tree did scream Screamin' this’ll be the day, a win for our team, This’ll be the day, a win for our team Gregg had airhorns in a summer swelter Killdrive preachedt offense that was helter skelter Mularkey then gave JP a big headstart TKO fell and the D fell apart 27 up 40 down, and falling fast With Whitey, we were not meant to last Each offseason he said This is our Year The 12th Man is ready to cheer, Each year nothing but tears Leaves the fans, crying in their beers ‘Cause our players tried to take the field The opponents just refused to yield Do you recall what was revealed The day the dream died We started singin' Bye, bye Super Bowl Dream Drove my Chevy to the Ralph for Whitey’s regime Them good old boys at the Big Tree did scream Screamin' this’ll be the day, a win for our team, This’ll be the day, a win for our team Oh in there we were all in one place But the Bills were such a disgrace With no time left to start again So come on JP be nimble, JP be quick JP just fumbled, then threw another pick Ralph is Whitey’s only friend Oh and as I watched them try to engage My hands were clenched in fists of rage No football coach born in hell Could break that Whitey’s spell And as the Bills just lost the fight And again no playoffs on a winter’s nite I saw Whitey laughing with delight The day, the dream died He was singin' Bye, bye Super Bowl Dream Drove my Chevy to the Ralph for Whitey’s regime Them good old boys at the Big Tree did scream Screamin' this’ll be the day, a win for our team, This’ll be the day, a win for our team I met Kelly who sang the blues And he passed me a bottle of booze And he just turned away I went down to the sacred Ralph Where I’d heard Shout! years before But Whitey said the music wouldn't play And in the streets the children screamed The fans cried and noone dreamed But not a word was spoken The Ralph’s spells all were broken And the three men I admire most Bruce, Andre and Thurman They caught the last train for the coast The day, the dream died They were singin' Bye, bye Super Bowl Dream Drove my Chevy to the Ralph for Whitey’s regime Them good old boys at the Big Tree did scream Screamin' this’ll be the day, a win for our team, This’ll be the day, a win for our team

Us 4014 - 52% Them 3684 - 48% Too bad the real game may not turn out that way.

Yes, when Mularkey wins 3 SB's for the Bills then he can say and do anything he wants and it will be held as gospel.

Important Momentum Shifting Drive...

I couldn't agree with that more. They come up small when it matters most. Don't really know why, although the buck stops at TD, this is his team. And God help us if we don't re-sign Nate. -

Its not the next couple of weeks that worries me, its the looming 5 game losing streak (@ OAK, @ NE, KC, @ SD, Car). -
Important Momentum Shifting Drive...

. I was kidding. Anyway, I can see how if you leader & best player is carried off the field, it can be a bit deflating. Heck, I've played on teams where that has happened, and it takes a moment or two to get your head back in the game. Not saying it should happen, but just that I can see it. Now the rest of that abomination yesterday.... -

Actually, thats the one play I could excuse. The 59 yd run was on the very next play after TKO got hurt. I'll give a pass on that one. The other 350+ yards however.... -
BUMP
-
Pass that schit, man!!!
-
Unfortunately, that was our last playoff game. That is depressing...
-
I'll go with Bills 20 Falcons 10, D reasserts itself, WM runs well and gets a TD, ST is the difference as JP has good field position all day.

Are the Bickering Bills coming back?
bills_fan replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know if we win, but I agree with the premise. Since 1990, the team that has led the league in rushing ATTEMPTS has been to the playoffs with at least 10 wins, every year but one. Stop the stupid pass happy offensive calls and run the friggin ball. I don't care if its Willis, Shaud or Jason Peters running the damn ball. The Steelers ran the ball 61% of the time last year. Is it possible that we hired the wrong Steelers offensive coach? -
Who's Lori? And Why so Vehemently
bills_fan replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Utterly hysterical. Thank you, sincerely, for a great laugh at the end of the day!! -
I'm suprised at this thread. Ninos, Bocce etc are all decent, but there'e the rest. The best is, by far, the one and only...La Nova. I used to drive from Orchard Park to the West Side of Buffalo, just to get La Nova. MMMMMMMM...La Nova......now I'm hungry & I live in a city where they serve pizza on cardboard

How can Gray be this underrated?
bills_fan replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Back in DaDay, that was one of the funniest things I've read on here in a looong time. Thanks for a good Friday laugh!! -
McFaddens is awesome. I'll be at the usual corner bar spot (easy access to out for a smoke) for most games. Just not the opener, cause I'll be in B'lo.

I've had it with this "Blame" crap
bills_fan replied to stuckincincy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are no leaders there. From the first moment that gov went on Larry King I said to my wife in all honesty, they're in trouble...listen to her. As someone who lived through 9/11 from almost as close a place as you could (across the street), the leadership showed by Rudy Giuliani pulled NYC through it. New Orleans needed a Rudy Giuliani and noone stepped up. -
I'm not a big Bettman fan either, but from the perspective of a Sabres fan, he hasn't been that bad. He unequivocally stated that the team would stay in Buffalo after the Rigas bankruptcy and only sought bids from local buyers. Then he forces an economic system onto the NHL that makes it possible for Buffalo to compete at the same level as Detroit and New York. When you really think about it, going forward, without Bettman, hockey in Buffalo may have ceased to exist. Look at what baseball did to the Expos.

OT -- Sabres Have Best Shot At Crosby
bills_fan replied to kclor's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Payback from the hockey Gods for No Goal....lose one Cup on a cheap shot, get Crosby to pair with Vanek, Roy, Drury etc. and win 3 Cups in the next 7 years???? I'll take it!!
