  1. I bought one. So did 4 of my friends. So all 5 of us go to away games wearing OJ jerseys. Its fun to watch the reactions of people. Some people gasp and point (Miami), some scream out "Murderer", to which we respond, "You're right OJ used to murder the defense" (NE), some laugh and think it funny (Balt, NY Jets) and some cross the road and won't even look at us (Tenn). Its worth it if you like people watching and seeing the reactions.
  2. Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm going to start checking into it and figuring it out. I'll let you know where I go & how it works.
  3. Thanks. I've never been, and a bunch of buddies and I were looking for a place to try it one summer weekend. We figure camping, boozing, rafting etc. cause a bunch of turn the big 3-0 this year.
  4. Any place within a 5 hour drive of NYC you guys can recommend? WVA is pretty far.
  5. I do. A tailgating pic from when we played the Giants in 03.
  6. Nice catch. Its a great jersey, but somethin tells me its not for sale at all, or is a home-made jersey.
  7. Where did you find that? I don't think we'll get that, but it would be very cool b/c it incorporates the charging Buffalo with the cool old jersey. That jersey should become our mainstay road jersey. That would be awesome.
  8. Yes, I do. It will depend on the fan and player reaction. The players seem to love em, the fans do as well. If the throwback jersey sales totally blow away the other jersey, I think that the Bills will consider it!!
  9. I would have liked to return to the standing buffalo on the helmet, with the charging one as maybe a sleeve logo. That would have been pretty cool. Well, I guess we'll see what happens, but it would not suprise me at all if we used the throwback as the basis for a permanent uni change, consigning the current version to the scrap heap of historical failures along with New Coke, The Pontiac Aztec and the Houston Astros clown jerseys from the early to mid 1980s.
  10. Its just my opinion, obviously shared by enough people, that the redesign was a flop. The unis are not good, hence the reason why the topic keeps coming up. Some like them, well OK. An opinion. We probably will change from these at some point. Hence the reason why the immediate change (as soon as league rules allowed) to throwback unis. The Jest and Gints did throwbacks and their fans loved them so much they made the unis permanent. I could see that happening with us as well.
  11. Easy, its just an opinion. I do. You'll see I only wear the old jersey if you click on my "name". I just wanted to get a Willis jersey (Big Cane fan) and won't buy the new ones.
  12. You know, thats not a bad idea. If they made several, it would work. The only thing is, a place would probably do one for an individual no problem, but if they were making 30-40, they'd have licensing issues, which they'd still have with one, but less likely to get caught. The trick is finding one that would take the risk. But if you are looking, this one is pretty cool...simple, but cool... http://www.neoncentral.com/inventory.jsp?number=G6100NC
  13. From NYC, I get to 3-4 homes a year and 2-3 roadies. This year its the opener (always), Mia, Denver and maybe one more. Roadies include the Jest, Patsies and maybe New Orleans.
  14. Amen to that. Although, you could probably take it to a neon company and they'd make it for you. It would cost you big bucks tho. I just got the Bills-Labatts Blue neon I've been looking for for years for my home bar. It s in a place of honor right behind the bar. Its terrific.
  15. Just look at the current ones. Awful. Must have been the same guy who designed the City Court building in downtown Buffalo.....lets see a windowless box sounds cool right????
  16. I agree with you. But, I'll still buy Willis home & away. Its the cane fan in me. I always loved him in college, but refused to buy the awful Bills jersey. Now I can!!
  17. I just hope they come out with the away as well.
  18. 1) Why did you move out of Buffalo? Moved in 00 for a job 2) Where did you go? New York City 3) How does your new home compare to Buffalo? Much less home for much more money. 4) If the econonmy and job market were stable would you move back? In a NY minute, I miss the regional flavor of Buffalo, the familiar customs, freindly people, cheaper cost of living etc. 5) What suggestions to you have to improve the quality of life here? Better gov't, lower taxes.
  19. Those are AWESOME!!!!! Nice Job Bills!!! Now, bring them back as permanent and we're talking. BTW - Since we are wearing them twice this year, vs. Hous and @ SD, I expect a road throwback is coming out as well.
  20. How could he have killed Padme? The only possible way is with the midicholrian manipulation. And if he is that strong in the force, then how could he have not sensed that Padme had already given birth to twins, both very strong in the force? I don't think that he did kill Padme. I think the assumption has to be that because Anakin turned, she died of a broken heart. Thats what Lucas wanted us to believe. My point is that it doesn't fit at all with her character from I and II. The Padme from I and II would have used the twins to turn Anakin back.
  21. But how could Sidious have killed her? He had no knowledge of luke and leia as demonstrated in IV-VI. I think Phlegous created Anankin to replace Sidious, Sidious found out about it and killed him. Sidious did not learn how to use the force to mess with the midichlorians, else luke and leia would never have happened. Also, Padme proved in I and II that she was a fighter. She would not just give up, she'd fight for Anakin, using the twins to turn him back. I thought that her death "Perfectly healthy and losing the will to live" was teribly done. That was the pivotal fulcrum for the whole story and I thinbk he blew it. The rest of the storytelling was awesome, the effects awesome. The movie itself, terrific. But c'mon, you can't blow the essential climax of the first 3 movies. What does everyone else think? Am I missing something?
  22. Just saw the movie and really liked it. The only thing.... How could Padme "Lose the will to live" when she was just shown two beautiful babies? I thought that was very disingenous and left a hole. Maybe I need to see it again, but even if Anakin broke her heart, you'd think the babies would be used by her to try and turn anankin back. I think that was poor storytelling.
  23. Re0build the towers, but one floor higher. A big F---Off!!
  24. Hmmmm.....good question.... The Bills of 1987-1996 were truly a special team, and have a special place in my heart. They were much more than just a football team to me. The years produced amazing, exhilarating football, games that I vividly recall and fondly watch on vidotape. The whole city came ALIVE during the season. There was optimism and passion everwhere for the Bills, and it spilled over into everyday life. Those Bills captured the imagination of the city and their resiliency to keep getting back up after being knocked down and try again reflected the mentality of the region and its people. To keep going in the face of adversity and multiple crushing defeats, led to a hope and belief in oneself. Whenever I need a bit of insipration or think I can't do something, I imagine being down 35-3 in the third quarter of a playoff game and keep on plugging, knowing I can still win 41-38. As far as the losses, yeah, I would've loved to see them win just one, the last one. After everything they had been through, and the persistence they demonstrated, it would have been terrific to have a Hollywood ending. Someday the Bills will win a Bowl, and I'll cheer and party like crazy. But it would be just tad bit sweeter, if the QB was named Kelly, the RB Thurman, the WRs Beebe and Reed, the C Hull, the defensive players Talley, Smith and Bennett, and especially, the coach Levy. So, to conclude a long winded answer, I look back with love in my heart, absolute fondness for a time that can never be recaptured. Also, with just a touch of regret, because when we do win one, the players that gave us so much, won't be the ones hoisting the Lombardi.
