  1. Mike Brown is rolling in it. Forget winning - it's the money over the long run. He let 5 starters walk in FA this season and last. Coaches who stink are never fired - their contracts run out and they are simply not retained. He successfully beat the IRS over inheritance tax. He wrangled what is likely the most one-sided stadium deal in history. Lately, he is worried about losing customers and his concession cut - the ones that have sued him at least twice over his shady ticket and seat license schemes. He will however, sign a flashy offensive player to rev up and entice the saps who will pay go to the stadium.
  2. Add that any player lusted over, that signs with another team, becomes a worthless bum and the team signing him a bunch of overpaying saps.
  3. A 225 lb. flanker. That's uncharted territory. I can't recall a "classic" flanker that was also a utility back. I suppose Hershel Walker could have pulled it off, though.
  4. It will soon be yet another entitlement.
  5. I thought he was already locked up...

  7. Q...E...D.
  8. ..."They (CIN)are also bringing in a pair of restricted free agent fullbacks for visits, Naufahu Tahi of the Vikings and John Kuhn of the Packers. ..."The Bengals have had high regard for the 6-0, 254-pound Tahi for a long time, ever since they signed him as an undrafted free agent out of BYU in 2006. He pushed incumbent Jeremi Johnson until final cuts and ended up on the practice squad. He was released later that season, but surfaced in Minnesota last year and got some quality time blocking time for Pro Bowl running back Adrian Peterson while making 16 catches for 37 yards."... Per Geoff Hobson, Cinti Enquirer reporter 03/03/09 http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=7538 I remember seeing him play in pre-season. He was an unmovable blocker. He had several carries, and was a rhino - one time, multiple defenders jumped on him, but he rumbled several more yards. He's worth a look, if they are checking out fullbacks.
  9. And Edwards dumps off to Reed...or the curerent favorite flavor, S. Johnson.
  10. Maybe we weren't worth studying?
  11. Well, they have to try something. Defeating BUF's pass offense seems to be a pretty easy task to their competitors.
  12. Nope - none whatsoever. CIN might be a good destination for him.
  13. These days, yes. A blowjob has already supplanted the goodnight kiss. Also, there is this "sexting" thing gaining prominence: http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...D=2009903040378

  15. And are paid to, in exchange for a vote.

  17. At the other end of the spectrum, prosecutors are going after a driver aged 67, for not confronting a bunch of teenage punks... http://www.wcpo.com/news/local/story/Bus-D...P8cpiCuopQ.cspx
  18. It's a bit of a surprise that he re-signed. Twice during the season, he informed fans how proud he was of himself. He talked with HOU, but decided better to be the starter in CIN than a back-up with the Texans. But I can understand a desire to return to the 'ole stomping grounds. Here is a (noisy) collegiate rah-rah video. Pretty easy to see why he was the #4 overall pick in 2005. And certainly, excellent play by Texas' OL... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZNBwSZpa0c&NR=1
  19. I suppose - but seems to me that McD's tend to reflect the neighborhoods they are located in. The one I visit for my morning coffee is clean, offers free newspapers, and the help is courteous and accurate. There is another one in a different direction, that I occasionally patronize. It is less clean. No newspapers, not even a box outside. The customers leave tables in a mess, and only napkins and salt and pepper are available for self-serve - if ketchup, plastic utensils, coffee creamers, jams etc. were left out, the customers would fill their pockets. Outside, take-out bags and wrappers pile up with the wind. The workers are indifferent at best, and you better check your order. And they get mad while you do so. I never order fries there - workers, and the usual clientele both feeling there is no such thing as too much salt. It could be that this particular McD's is like this one, and that their customers frequently try to rip them off.
  20. I'm sure that will motivate him to play well for BUF, or dog it and be cut for a better contract elsewhere...eh? Bills might want to maintain his current contract, and add a rider on it for performances.
  21. One of Broadway's greats!
