  1. They've been badly burned by signing and re-signing players who can/won't control their weight. Smith has no character issues beyond being dumb and immature - a cheap shot against the kid on your part, IMO. Round 2 38. Cincinnati Bengals - Jared Cook - TE/South Carolina If you happen to watch CIN games you would notice that there is no place for a TE in their idiot OCs' ( Bob Bratkowski) offensive plan. It would be a surprise if they drafted one - unless somehow they moved down to get Pettigrew - the owner always fancying himself at getting a "bargain".
  2. Medicade consumes 40% of the entire OH State budget.
  3. The problem is with the "regulated". Alcohol is regulated, but we know what can happen. Surely, without fear of prosecution, there would be many more folks driving the roadways sans full use of their facilities...and folks going to a job puffed up, or after a lunch break. Perhaps a co-worker. With a welding torch. I'm not at all insensitive to the medical usage of pot, btw. Have someone take a video of yourself before and after ingestion. You aren't the same person. You think you are on top of the world, the repository of all knowledge, and in full control of all things. The video proves different.
  4. I guess you missed the original, 3 page verbatim post before it was...modified.
  5. Good 'ol "unindicted co-conspirator" Abscam John... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abscam
  6. Good going! Amphibious Assault ships are tops.
  7. Defense ends who can play OLB wanted Several, including Barwin, fit bill Joe Reedy Cincinnati Enquirer April 21, 2009 "About this time every year, one position seems to receive more attention than others. This year, it's the hybrid defensive players. With teams switching to a 3-4 defense, teams are looking for those who played defensive end in college but might be undersized to play that in the NFL, meaning they can play one of the outside linebacker positions. But what if you're the Bengals, who are still in a 4-3, where would they fit in?"... http://news.cincinnati.com/article/2009042.../904220354/1066 Brian Orakpo, Everette Brown, Aaron Maybin, et al. Their DEs disappointed last season. FA Antwan Odom was injured in camp (brought in to replace the steady Justin Smith) and was a dud when he eventually played. DE Robt. Geathers was re-signed to a fat contract (we know how that can work) and then did little, eventually suffering an injury that last I heard isn't doing well. So it's conceivable that the Candy Stripers by the Ohio River might be sniffing around for DE help. Dunno.
  8. Fashion goes in cycles. The codpiece: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codpiece
  9. Never underestimate the power of trinkets. In manufacturing, it's a wise tech rep that liberally passes out the hats, lighters, pens and the like. The fellow installing your part or squirting your goo treats you and your product with fine respect.
  10. I agree. It really surprised me when they cut down the times for making picks, given the money involved, and time needed for wheeling and dealing.
  11. Less than 150 words.
  12. frez - how's that paint holding up? LA - good fences make good neighbors!
  13. I've read your posts, I've no problem with your football opinions. You display as condescending with selected touches of sneering, and that shouldn't be your province at your age. Leave the gloom to us oldsters with all the scars of longer life on our backs. In short - be more cheerful, and enjoy your youth. I am giving you fatherly advice. Mind my words.
  14. Why imply betrayal? Of what? Your theft of the words of another? It's nice to see that you can see sense, have shame, and so you correctly modified your post. I advise you against tossing ancients against me. Wiki is handy, for a retort. Nuance is acquired with seasoning over time. Take that to heart, young man.
  15. You don't see the big picture. Perhaps as you age and gain experience, you will. What would Leonidas at Thermopylae say?
  16. That seems so. Everybody acknowledges his return skills, but as you and others say, he's not pencilled in for much of a part in the pass offense. It's really a bit of an indictment of the team, that the offense and defense are so weak to be so dependent on the usual favorable field positions that the STs afford them. A previous poster opined that the Bills could have been 4 -12 instead of 7 -9 save for that.
  17. Well, it's evident indeed, that you have no idea about copyright law. About not republishing an author's works without explicit permission - or payment of a negotiated fee. It's called theft of intellectual property. You are welcome for the input, though.
  18. At #11, forget who drops, and draft a large, hard hitting, swaggering MLB...Maualuga.
  19. Ever heard of copyright laws?
  20. They lose more on purpose just to screw with BUF. Sssh...it's supposed to be a secret that is worked out at the league meetings during March.
  21. Inspiration... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hkJL6wRBE8
  22. He might be picked higher that #42... http://news.cincinnati.com/article/2009042...0076/1007/SPT02 In addition to DE/LB/TE possibilities, when he worked out at a recent B'gals rookie evaluation, he also long-snapped.
  23. I got pictures. I figure I've had $2.5K pulled out of my wallet/*ss for these things so far, so I think it was the least they could do. They always praise me on the good "quality" of my prep. Seems I'm adept at voiding myself. I'm so happy.
