Greenbay rolls over Arizona
stuckincincy replied to bills-fan in arizona's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read the game recap and noted that CB Woodson had 2 sacks. Ssounds like they were blitzing a lot, as well as game-planning (as Simon mentioned in a previous thread about the BUF-GB game). -
OK...here is a silly question.

Ever seen the late Teddy Kennedy give a speech to the acolytes?

Dante, I appreciate your post, and understand the reasons why you posted words and quotes you think might help others, words of course not put out with any intention to hurt others. I do not want you to add to the terrible physical procedures you suffered this year by a stridency. The time for strong emotion about what happened is in the future, not now. Easy does it. Please. stuck

Out of every second of one's life, billions (or guess your own number) of cancerous cells not playing the game are created and the immune system zaps most all of them. The marvel is that with all these trillions, trillions of cells, chemical reactions, perturbations, etc., that we live as long as most all of us do. Add in all the bugs like to that eat us, the cultural practices, natural and man-made insults, the nutritional practices and so on. Across the globe, those little bugs kill far more of us than cancers do. They like to eat us, and we cultivate them in many a way to make food for us. It's very sad when a youngster contracts cancer - thankfully, it is a very, very rare happenstance. There's an old thought, that flowers are the souls of the little children taken away from us in their innocence . Take that as you will. Me? I've had my days in the sun such as they were. I'm surprised and I'm da*n thankful I'm still around.

Why did we let Jabari Greer go again?

I failed to send any of my money to the NFL Union Prevailing Wage for Cornerbacks Fund. I am a horrible human being. -

When you fire off a shot, you have to use proper punctuation. As well as complete sentences with a direct object. What is with all...after all? -

Going to Toronto for the weekend. Any suggestions?
stuckincincy replied to Phlegm Alley's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The Ontario Science Centre is worthwhile. And the Royal Museum. http://www.ontariosciencecentre.ca/ http://www.rom.on.ca/families.php Be sure to stop at a roadside stand and have fries with malt vinegar! TOR is one of the world's great international cities. Ask the concierge at where you are staying. He will point you wherever you want to go, tell him what your predilections may be, etc. Drop a five on the dish. -

Hey! Is that Linksys hard-wired thing you recommended to me and I bought, a "NAT box" or not?

Not it I'm calling a defense against him. Extracting a line from an old Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum ditty... "Be he black or be he blue, he be both, when I be through".

Chronic groin/hammie injuries when he with CIN, IIRC. Grew up, wised up. When he was (infrequently) healthy, he was one mean motha. Speed, height, weight, hands, ran good patterns, and loved to drop a shoulder and slam it into a defender if opportunity presented. He did a fair amount of ST duty and was good at it.

Here Are Teams That MAY Need QBs Next Year
stuckincincy replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It sure does. Some folks hold the opinion that the owners are the force behind the 53 man roster, and the 45 (whatever the number is) game dress rule. I feel it is the NFLPA that forged it, and the currently employed players, to keep wages high. They are an odd union - most unions desiring to increase membership, not restrict it. So when injuries hit, the well isn't as deep as it was in times past. -
War (flat a), or better typed as whaarr, is Buffaloese for "water". Also: "melk" = milk. "fer" = for.

They'll need to look at serpentine belt condition, any idler/tension wheel along the belt drive path, and batt. cable condition, too. I'd opine that the battery may now be shot and need of replacement.

No! Ox-head nuts: The lower structure of a front-wheel drive vehicle has a heavy-gauge construction coming from the firewall and mating with the EA boxes (energy absorbing boxes...they are rectangular, mounting the bumper struts, and are designed to collapse controllably upon a front-end impact). Overall, the appearance is that of the head and horns of an ox. It has mount points for the motor mounts, which today commonly have vibration-absorbing gel-filled pads. So torquing the nuts properly is a different procedure. Here's the latest thing in motor mount tech... http://www.caranddriver.com/features/09q2/...ounts-tech_dept

Here Are Teams That MAY Need QBs Next Year
stuckincincy replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, I can clearly see their flaws. I'm not emotionally invested with them, I'm financially invested to the tune of a half-cent sales tax levy for Brown's free pleasure palace, and a likely property tax increase around the corner to service the stadium bond debt. Actually, historically I've had a pretty good idea about who they draft, and why. I certainly didn't mean to imply that their owner/president/GM is shooting for spending a #1 or a #2, or even a #3 next year (unless Brown perceives yet another "bargain" - see this year's #6 overall pick). But I can see a #4. A "QB of the future" doesn't necessarily have to be drafted in the upper rounds. Much as I dislike to (once again - forgive me folks) put up this old link, the fact is that for the 2nd year in a row, injuries have bedeviled them. Scroll down... I can't exactly say why they have all these injuries, but I'm willing to entertain the idea that the Lord doesn't like Mikey. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dw...in.34d3911.html -
