  1. Happy B'Day!
  2. I wonder why not? A guess would be a contract deal with the ESPN Evil Empire...
  3. Ramius - what's the latest on Bowen's victory total re the flap about some wins being not credited because of NCAA violations?
  4. Great news!!!! :censored:
  5. The games are on the Fox Soccer Channel, too. T-W carries the channel on its' digital tier here in SW Ohio.
  6. Bump. Thanks again this year, UConn!
  7. I still have the original DOS version on my PC.
  8. I remember reading when he signed on at OSU, he already had a "posse" in high school.
  9. Only 8 of the 21 are in the AFC. Theories, anyone?
  10. Things have been fairly quite on PFT's "Turd Watch". It should pick up soon.
  11. Yes, the flight is about an hour. You'll have to add in time for embarking, disembarking, and some more getting to and from destinations on the ground. I feel it is better to be at a known address on cut-down day. You never know when somebody calls about offering up a player - even on a Saturday. There's much to be said for mobile communications, but hunting down someone on the road vs. contacting a known address aren't always the same. I think that all the coaches and front office types should be on duty in the same location, with access to all information, no matter how trivial. I didn't imply anything wrong with Ralph calling his employees on the carpet. Quite the contrary, I believe the meeting was personal in fair part. I simply question the timing. The NFL is an entertainment business. Even in pre-season. Ralph had every reason to be angry about the poor performance(s) given to his paying customers.
  12. Simple works well. Lombardi's power sweep: http://www.profootballresearchers.org/Coff...r/19-05-712.pdf
  13. Smith is looney, and a clubhouse disruption.
  14. Only in part. Not every note, every scrap of paper jotted down is entered into a computer. And there's something to be said for being in familiar confines when making substantial decisions. When I see draft "war room" scenes on tv, there are binders about, hand-written charts and so on. I wonder how much time was consumed traveling to Detriot and back? Were they in transit when other clubs released their cut lists? I don't know their itinerary, but time on a plane is dead time.
  15. I would think that would be part. But in war (the NFL), when there is a major part of the campaign going on (final roster cuts), its not wise to drag your field commanders (Jauron, Brandon) back to the rear echelons (Ralph's home). The spanking could have been administered at a later date...
  16. It strikes me as a poor choice of days for such a meeting. Saturday was roster cut day. The staff should stay at the office, where their info on cut players resides, their phones, etc.
  17. Is he any relation of the former NFL QB, Norm Snead?
  18. Just a small piece of your heart...
  19. I saw a glaring example of a new player handing over plays to the defense - RT Willie Anderson and the 1st Ravens vs. CIN game last season. It was blatantly obvious to me. BAL was in on most every snap, in near-perfect position. IIRC, Rich Gannon was doing the color, and he finally made a comment about it in the 2nd half. Some of the CIN players groused about it after the game.
  20. It's easy to remove an inadvertent post, NoName. Just click on your original post - that started the thread. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will see a drop-down box labeled "Moderator Options." Invoke it, and you have the choice to delete the thread you started.
  21. The Pea Shooters.
  22. Let's see how they manage the clock...
