Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
PromoTheRobot replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
WRONG! 29 is not "good enough." You needed 3 more. You failed. Nothing that happened before Josh getting the ball matters. You had the game in your hands and you fell short. End of story. -
The Chiefs are always one step ahead of the Bills...

Also helps when the refs are pulling for you. -

Ooooh, you came with stats! 🙄 Bottom line: the D made enough plays to get Josh the ball to win/tie the game. That's the game, not your fancy stats -

Players have to make plays. And actually the Bills defense made enough plays to win the game. If you give Josh the ball, down 3 with 3 minutes left, that's on the offense to get it done. -
Not using James Cook on final drive a head scratcher

If all you do is ignore all the times Johnson was effective, sure. -

That belief is what led to us getting stuffed on 4 of 5 QB sneaks. Remember last week when everyone said we should have snuck twice against Baltimore? Brady took that advice and "stuck with what worked." -

You conveniently forget how Cook got blown up trying to block for Allen. That's why he wasn't playing there. Ty Johnson is the better blocker. -
The NFL would love to make the season another week longer. More $$$!!!

How far up can the Bills trade up with picks 30, 57 and 62?

Josh is a star. I can't wait to see him host SNL. (Gotta win the Super Bowl for that.) -
Would you watch a "Consolation" Bowl?

Too late -
The proposed 18-game schedule would likely include a second bye week.

When do you plan to submit your resume to Terry Pegula for the GMs job?

Lots of things to respond to. As for teams getting the jump on us, you know the fact that, in most cases, the Bills adjust. Does that not matter more? If you think Allen gets us 12-13 wins, then you're saying coaches don't matter. Lastly, you make a big leap saying things end the same way. They might be losses but they aren't for the same reasons. Thinking changing one head coach is the answer is the height of arrogance. Maybe you missed the part that no other NFL team has solved the Chiefs riddle the past three years. You think you're going to find the one guy smarter than Ried?
-
Levy didn't have a Patriots or Chiefs type of team the Bills had to get past. The Bills were the class of the AFC in those days
-
So you think that replacing McDermott, and probably Beane too, will only result in upward improvement? You think 12-13 win seasons are the Bills floor? Based on what exactly? Oh, and nice job @BananaB creating things in your head to hate McDermott for.

I do recall hearing a the college all stars beat the Steelers once. -
Yes. 15 wins and a 5th straight AFC East title, in a year you were picked to finish 3rd, clearly says "it ain't working."

You're right. I became a Bills fan in '66 as an 8 year old. But I don't recall this. -
It feels so empty to not have football after how far the Bills got. And I know the NFLPA would probably never go for the idea. But what if there was a consolation game the week before the Super Bowl for the two conference championship losing teams? They do it for the World Cup and the Olympics and other tournaments. Maybe it's too much to ask after pouring your heart into that final game. On the other hand, the chance to go out a winner is nice. Thoughts?

He's from Florida. He only played his college ball in Buffalo.
