  1. There will be nostalgic value seeing those colors and logos again. I was big into the original USFL. The Stars were the only other football team I ever became a fan of. They were good. I think the fact Fox Sports owns them they may stick around.
  2. What does it have to do with it? How can you be executive of the year when you spent almost $70MM on two players that barely did anything for you?
  3. Did every team spend $69MM on two TE's that did bupkis?
  4. Every armchair analyst thinks they found the Da Vinci Code.
  5. Probably because he didn't peak in college. Guys that peak are who draft pundits drool over. NFL personnel departments look for players that have potential. Here's another example. N'Keal Harry was a 1st rd pick while Gabriel Davis went in the 4th.
  6. For what exactly? It's BERTH. PLAYOFF BERTH.
  7. There were other teams as well: Washington Federals Oklahoma Outlaws (from Arizona) Arizona Wranglers Los Angeles Express San Antonio Gunslingers Denver Gold Chicago Blitz (coached by none other than Marv Levy)
  8. Hard to believe AW couldn't get on the field for the Bills.
  9. Be like me. The NFL playoffs are done as far as I'm concerned. I have stuff to do Sunday.
  10. If the league does reasonably well, the plan is to move to each respective city to play in 2023. Of course not every city will work out so there may be some adjustments. That's why I asked how a spring team could do in Buffalo
  11. Close. But all USFL team colors and logos are based on their original 80's looks. Maybe. But there's on huge difference with this spring league: it's owned by Fox Sports. Not a bunch of guys looking for TV money to survive.
  12. Relax. They can throw a league together in 60 days.
  13. As much as I'd like to see the Chiefs lose, that would cheapen our loss to them. I'd almost rather see the Chiefs roll through everyone, making the Bills the only team that had them on the mat. The Bengals were critical in us getting Allen in the draft, giving us their #12 pick for Cordy Glenn, who isn't even playing football anymore.
  14. Beane engineered the trade ups to get Josh Allen, including getting to #12 in exchange for Cordy frickin Glenn.
  15. Guaranteed: Chiefs/Bills Thursday night season opener if KC wins it all. Be ready for a ton of prime time games next year.
  16. And he might next year if Tom retires or if Gronk thinks catching passes from Josh Allen is an upgrade from old man Brady.
  17. Hard to envision what the plan was seeing that much open space, though.
  18. Nice touch for Josh to pose with his melons out for Nick to kiss.
  19. What's worse? Losing a close one to the Super Bowl champs or a team that loses to the Bengals? I want the Chiefs to win it all now.
  20. I never said that. I simply refuse to patronize that button pusher because I know his m.o. There are more knowledgeable writers. There's a reason Jerry Sullivan is at the Niagara Gazette and not the Athletic. And as for coaches losing jobs, you do that when you want to make an upgrade, not to appease a fan base.
  21. I trust Beane to be careful and not go crazy with contracts. If you want sustainable success you can't just sign every name. You have to find value. The worst thing that can happen is to think we have to go all in. We don't. We have the most important piece to contend with for a long time.
  22. But what does Jerry Sullivan think?
  23. Lol, yeah that was the I recall attitude going into that game. "Who cares that we beat the Chiefs in the regular season?" It's a free country.
