With all the hate being tossed around..
ricojes replied to Quester74's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If anything, this game proved that the O-line is not the main problem. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a good line, we need upgrades at RT for sure and significant improvement or an upgrade at LT as well. But a competent QB can indeed play well behind this line. I was so sick of the Edwards apologists saying that no QB could do well behind this line, it's a bunch of crap. If a career backup in Fitz can play adequately, then a good QB would do very well. On the other side of the ball, the Bills are a train wreck on the line. Absolutely no pressure, this team needs D-Line and LB help big time to be considered good any time soon. And the safeties, including Byrd, were horrible. It was just a pathetic display. -
Who gets the #2 slot? Donald Driver @ Chicago Monday night Eddie Royal VS Indy Steve Smith (NYG) VS Tennessee Right now I am leaning towards Driver, but Royal has been solid since moving to the slot. Smith has been targeted plenty, but not putting up the numbers...

I was just going to post that quote, I thought it was excellent...

Philly signs RB Bell off of our Practice Squad
ricojes replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Damn, i really wish i could talk about trading Lynch and activating Bell, but a newbie said we can't.... -
looking forward to The League! Great show...

It's a bad rule, but not a bad call. The officials called it as the rule is written. IMO, I think it's ridiculous. That being said, if you're Calvin Johnson, why are you worried about breaking your fall? if he catches the ball with 2 hands and falls on his butt, it's a TD, no questions asked. instead he tries to break his fall with one hand, causing his other hand with the ball to hit the ground popping the ball loose. So in summary, bad rule and bad decision...

D McFadden v St. Louis -- very good numbers last week, but will Bush be back in the line up? D Driver v Buffalo -- TD reception last week, still a big target in GB. J Forsett @ Denver -- 3 headed monster in Seattle, just doesn't get the touches E Royal v Seattle -- targeted a lot last week. F Jackson @ GB -- Tough run D in GB and at this point, I am not playing any Bills players on offense R Meachem -- Too many targets in NO

Harvin got a lot of looks yesterday, but didn't seem like him and Favre were on the same page. May take a couple weeks, with Favre and Harvin missing most of camp, before they really start to click...

Harvin is returning kickoffs this year, so if you get any return yardage i would go with him. Otherwise it's pretty close, but I still would probably go with Harvin.

Suggestion on a Nice Restaurant in the WNY area
ricojes replied to zevo's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I agree with the Left Bank suggestion if you don't mind loud restaurants. If you're looking for Italian, I highly recommend Sinatra's, great food and great atmosphere. -
I'm leaning that way, I really like Forsett this year. he should have a half dozen catches and somewhere around 15 carries weekly. I don't see Washington playing every down and Julius Jones took a pay cut in order not to get cut, so I don't think he'll be much of a factor either. My only concern is Seattle's offense as a whole.

ATTN: Everyone heading to the Opener Sunday
ricojes replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Way freaking cool, instant goose bumps! I may be singing this one at the tailgate as well: -
I like Gore and McCoy. The other 1 is a coin flip, don't know how many touches each will get. But if it's a ppr league, I might lean towards Spiller. if not, probably Bradshaw.
-
Who would you start at the flex position, it's a ppr league: D McFadden -- will get the touches with Bush out, but it's the Oakland offense. D Driver -- high octane offense, he's usaully good for about 5 catches and 70 yards. J Forsett -- 3 headed monster in Seattle E Royal -- I think he'll have a nice year, but will put up big numbers in week 1? F Jackson -- coming off the hand injury, how much will the Bills use him? R Meachem -- another high octane offense, but too many targets in NO Let me know what you think. Thanks....

I'll be there, probably just tailgate at the Ale House and head over for the game. Have a bunch of guys going for the next home game though, tailgating at the Pepsi Center. Talked to the guy in the ticket office and he said tickets are selling very well for the game tonight. Going to be a nice night for football, GO BULLS!!!

I hope he's ok. I think I remember him posting that he was overweight and had some health issues. I can't confirm that, but I believe it was something he posted. I know he was a big gambler, I remember his 5 for Thursday posts. He wasn't a very good gambler as he would consistently only get 1 or 2 right out of the 5, so maybe he's broke? But seriously, hope he is well and back for the regular season. He was one of the biggest defenders when the Buffalo bashers posted....

Where does Buffalo Rank in NFL attendence?
ricojes replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True, the Bills can't price the luxury boxes the way most teams do because of the lack of big business in the area. I hate that they did it, but the Toronto deal was such a good deal for the Bills, they made way more than if these games were in OP... -
Where does Buffalo Rank in NFL attendence?
ricojes replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills rank 15th in average attendance on the road and 12th overall, not too bad at all. The Bills do not sell SRO tickets, so it's difficult to guage % of capacity against teams that do... -
Just heard that on the radio and I think it's awesome. I really like Gailey's personality, I just hope it translates to wins on Sundays or else he'll be the target of the "fans"...

At what point do you cut your losses with Maybin?
ricojes replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was going to post something similar. He was drafted as a project, because the Bills had such a great pass rush at hte time, they could afford such a luxury{/sarcasm]. Plus he was drafted by the old regime. which is even more puzzling that they drafted a guy more suited for the 3-4 when the old regime ran a 4-3? That being said, I don't see this new staff being as patient. I think he has this year and next training camp to show significant improvement. I like the kids energy and enthusiasm, but he needs to produce soon... -
i am going to grade the game 64%, just because anyone who thinks they can make an educated guess on what the regular season may hold by judging the scrimmage games, doesn't deserve the ticket. If you were an Indy fan, would you get the ticket? they have to be under 65% with an 0-2 record? plus your avatar is disturbing....

So instead of a player bashing post, this is a post wondering why there is not a player bashing post hoping that it may eventually turn into a player bashing post....Uhg, can we just start the season so we can get on with bashing Ralph, Buddy, and Chan....

I have to ask the obvious, been burned too many times by not asking, but you did unplug your ipod and try to boot, right? May want to check your setting to ensure it's booting from the HDD first, should be, but it is a Gateway...
