  1. OK, so we get our all-pro QB in the 2011 draft. Then what? We hope to have ANOTHER losing season so we can draft our all-pro LT in the 2012 draft? Of course, by then, any existing stars the team has now have aged and now need replacing. Where does it stop? What a STUPID, FLAWED mentality to actually want to lose games. Any shred of respect I had for Sully is gone with this notion. Go Bills! Edit: the ONLY time I'd want a loss would be if we were 4-11 going into game 16 and we had a chance at the top pick with a loss. However, GOING INTO A BRAND NEW SEASON with this mentality is asinine.
  2. On a similar topic of intuition. It's odd, but most times in the past when I've missed a Bills game and had to get the score later, I always just seem to know whether or not it was a win or a loss before I see the score. Neither here nor there, but just kind of odd is all.
  3. +1 Jauron probably did stunt TE's development badly along with the rest of the inept coaching staff. TE will only improve under Chan.
  4. If Buddy COULD have gotten something for Schobel, he WOULD have. Buddy isn't just being a nice guy here. The bottom line is that there was no way he was going to pull off a deal here. Yes, he could have hung on to Schobel's rights up until September just to see if any interest was going to develop over the next few weeks by other teams (injuries to their existing starters, etc.), but again at Schobel's price tag, a deal was just not going to happen. Under the circumstances, Buddy did the right thing here. Schobel also COULD have collected 2 million, but didn't, so he wasn't trying to hit the Bills for cash or anything like that. This was the best solution. The real idiots are the ones who put this contract together a few years ago.
  5. He has had a rough start to his NFL career with injuries: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Jackson Between hamstring injuries and torn ACL, it's little wonder he has not lived up to expectations. Maybe this will be a turning point for him finally.
  6. Who gives a damn about the FAN attitude at training camp? All I care about is the PLAYER attitude. Good grief.
  7. Thanks for explanation.
  8. I don't understand why his contract cannot be renegotiated. Why is that so?
  9. Is this scenario possible: 1. Schobel reports to the Buffalo Bills 2. Bills and Schobel renegotiate his contract down to a more palatable number -- say $4 million 3. Bills trade him to Texans for some kind of draft pick Seems like a win-win given how the situation is playing out. Schobel gets some $ this year instead of zippo. The Bills get SOMETHING for Schobel instead of nothing at all.
  10. Here is what Dick Jauron said once Jason Peters FINALLY showed up for week 1 of the regular season after his long 2008 holdout: "He's ready to go," coach Dick Jauron said following Buffalo's 34-10 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. "We just have to see how long it takes him to get into football shape." Contrast that with what Nix says about Schobel: http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...7a-362e28823ceb Nix has it right. This move was necessary. How could Jauron say "He's ready to go" about Peters after he missed the entire 2008 training camp? Amazing. Nix & Gailey are protecting the Buffalo Bills organization and doing what is both best for the entire team and what is fair and right. Go Bills!!
  11. The region has NO VISION. What the hell is up with no buffer between the Niagara River and the 290 for a mile or two stretch. Let's ruin the natural beauty of the Niagara River with an expressway. The politicians are stupid and greedy and have been for many, many decades. The water front all the way from Hamburg to Niagara Falls is a joke with one or two small exceptions. The water front is the key to future success and it is being squandered.
  12. I'd like it if they went back to the white helmet. I never liked the red helmet.
  13. I totally agree. In fact, I don't think reporters or fans should be allowed to see practices at all (with some exceptions -- an occasional fan appreciation day here or there, etc.). However, the rest of the time, I'd like to see totally closed practices. This is a business and businesses have to protect their knowledge. I'd also send some people around the neighborhood looking for one of Bilicheat's guys up in a tree with a video camera. I'd also hire someone to check for wires or other hidden recording devices in the locker room, the stands, etc. Call me paranoid -- I don't care. You've GOT to protect your knowledge from the competition at all costs.
  14. Maybe you forgot what happened to Flander's wife the last time she attended a ball game?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCXzNzgLNrY
  15. Well, I did not see the deleted thread so your comments appear out-of-line. If there was a deleted thread and if it said what you claim it said, then I suppose I could see where you were coming from. However, this is all kind of pointless now that the thread is gone.
  16. Weo, WHAT is your issue? Hossage makes a few simple comments and you just start making stuff up based on that.
  17. Did TO ever return his key to the city?
  18. +1 Apparently some on this board don't want to let facts interfere with a good rant.
  19. +1 In today's NFL, you don't have "rebuilding" years. You've got to turn things around fast today. This can be a playoff year and once in the playoffs anything can happen.
  20. I was wondering that myself as to how in the world you fall down TWO flights of stairs when there would seemingly be a landing at the bottom of each flight.
  21. I'm really hoping it can all be chalked up to very poor coaching. This is Edward's LAST chance to prove himself IMO. If he does not shine this year, I think the TE experiment must come to a close.
  22. I'll sell your domain name back to you for $100.
  23. Sounds almost as challenging as being a Bills fan.
  24. Is "Vigina" a new state?
