  1. Apart from Josh, I'd say Joey is the most important piece of the superbowl puzzle. We've had the offence to get there for the last few years but the defence has always let the team down, I truly believe we'd have made it in 2022 if Von Miller hadn't got injured and Joey is the best passs rusher we've had since then. If he stays healthy he'll get to Mahomes in the playoffs and that is the key as we've not gotten a sniff of him previously which has cost us regardless of how many points the offense have put on the board. Groot and Ed Oliver have shown they can't do it on the very biggest stage so we need someone at a higher level to do it, I'm hopeful Joey is that guy
  2. Yes I found that out recently, what a legend
  3. The season is a month old and they have a bye in 2 weeks, any talk of resting any players at this point in time is crazy imo. If they're healthy then get them on the field they get paid enough, and the last 2 games have been far from easy against supposed cr*ppy teams which the patriots aren't. People talk like the number one seed is already locked up, it's not
  4. No white flags though, the French have got a monopoly on those 😁
  5. Sofi are getting a relationship with Josh early so he plays out his last couple of years over in LA, but after he's won us 3 rings I won't begrudge him that 😁
  6. We could do with some of this juice
  7. The Ryder cup was a strange one, I understand where Rory was coming from but when he told someone to shut the fk up he lost the high ground, it’s like saying to someone on the bus can you please stop fkg cursing as there are children here. He reminded me of shooter McGavin in happy Gilmore tbh (how am I supposed to chip with that going on Doug? 😆) Eagles fans are a law unto their own so I believe, definitely wouldn’t want to go there. Agreed about not going to stadiums where the fans are a bit more “serious”, thank God you didn’t go to millwall in 2023 as it’s just down the road from palace, I used to live a mile or so from millwall and match days were days to stay inside the house. The raiders stadium looks amazing so that could be another one for the list, although not sure how crazy raiders fans are beyond the Halloween costumes and make up.
  8. Haha Well if you reduce the capacity by 10k that can’t help, and it can get worse especially if you end up with a lot of the proper hardcore fans being priced out (that’s a different argument and not related to the structure of the stadium of course) as I spoke to a couple of people who won’t be able to afford to keep their season tickets which is sad
  9. Palace is a good place to go to be fair, Selhurst park has long been one of the more traditional louder stadiums and not many glory hunters there (because until recently they never had any glory). I’m sure I don’t have to tell you about what happened in January 1995 there with a certain Frenchman who played for my team 😆 I like that you can mingle in the states though, I saw saints fans walking around and no-one said anything and there was no animosity, that’s sadly the worst thing about European football in that away fans have to be escorted by the police to and from the stadium etc… although I guess it does translate to louder atmospheres in the stadium Next on my bucket list is to see a bills away game, I’ve never been to the west coast so maybe to Arizona, LA, SF in the future I hope
  10. I don’t have any strong thoughts on who to get rid of, but please God get a competent safety in somehow someway
  11. Fair enough, maybe comparing it to English football is the wrong thing for me to do as it does get rowdy (too much sometimes) and I did like the family feel of highmark compared to say taking my kids to Old Trafford (which I wouldn’t do). I hope you enjoy anfield if you ever make it there, although as a Manchester United fan I’ll have to take your word for it as I won’t go near the place 🤣
  12. Apologies if this has been asked but there are 170 pages on this thread to trawl through. Has it been said that the acoustics in the new stadium will be significantly better than the existing stadium? I assume they will be due to modern technology but I noticed the difference between Highmark and spurs stadium in London was significant in terms of noise generated as spurs was much louder even with a smaller capacity. Of course, some of it can be put down to people going a bit crazier on a one of game in London but I assume the stadium also makes a huge difference, hopefully new highmark is encompassing some of that technology
  13. Haha I’m the wrong nationality to try the alternative facts in the US thing on sorry. I get it, you like the song. I don’t dislike it and I couldn’t care less of it sticks around or not, you’re confusing me with the other poster who hates it. I just didn’t find it particularly energising and nor did most of the crowd in my opinion, yes you can hear some singing on that video but it’s hardly deafening, some people sing it but I’ll stick my view that the majority didn’t and certainly not on the side I was sitting, I heard more groans than anything
  14. I was at the game, actually just along from that section on the video, and I’m telling how I saw it, if you think that’s loud and the whole stadium getting wild then I don’t know what to tell you but I have some magic beans you may be interested in. Maybe if you’d been there and not relying on someone else’s (bad) video you would know, better luck next time
  15. Wow, the handful of people around you were really going for it, whilst everyone else was waiting for the kickoff 🙄
  16. Um yes they were, I was in the crowd and hardly anyone bothered singing or even standing up once the TD celebration had died down and the song was still playing then
  17. The crowd was very meh when they played it during Sunday’s saints game
  18. Translation: Please buy lots of white merchandise so we can make more money. I have the ice white hoodie which I think is great, however I hate the jerseys as it makes them look like the cowboys
  19. I attended the game live in person for the first time, so Josh and James wanted to impress me. I'll happily come back for games for the rest of the season if the board would like to chip in to cover the flight from London every week
  20. If we were gonna pay big money for a superstar WR it should have been DK Metcalf, still annoys me we let him go to the steelers. I'd rather spend any money we might have on a safety now, the need is more pressing
  21. The eagles when Carson Wentz went down and Nick Foles tookover? I can't remember if Wentz was on big money then but I think he was in the MVP conversation around that time
  22. He could play in the OL if required, he’s a beast
  23. I wish I had been as smart as the OP, my forearms now look like those of a lobster
  24. Made me think of this lol https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxRSXqokQNrnSw3o890qPtnlt3DCqe33Kn?si=PsraFebDqOaCArm7
