  1. Except he really hasn't. Repeatedly.
  2. Yeah, the fan base got so excited this year the Bills sold 10,000 fewer season tickets.
  3. So five and a half years of posting and you were right once? Good for you!
  4. Right, because the fan base makes all the personnel decisions.
  5. I think the Dead Schembechlers need to get a life (no pun intended).
  6. I hear that Simpson fellow did alright after winning the Heisman. What's he been up to lately?
  7. ESPN fired their head coach?
  8. Except the Heisman isn't an MVP award- it's for the "most outstanding player."
  9. Ryan Clady, Aaron Rodgers, Haloti Ngata, and Clay Matthews all say "hello." It's not where you pick, it's who you pick, and how you develop them.
  10. For all of one season, 50 years ago.
  11. To draft or not to draft? That is the question? Then my answer is... to draft.
  12. 10 pm tonight (11/10) on the Food Network. Bears fans compete with Bills fans for tailgating supremacy. food network link
  13. That's not the way I remember it. The Bills of the Polian era were considered one of the model franchises. Actually, at that time the franchises that were considered inept were the Colts and the Patriots.
  14. Let's see... the OP said that we should let steroid use go, because so many people use them, although he has no evidence or figure on how widespread. I said that we shouldn't let it go because, in addition to being ultimately harmful to the body, it is also illegal. Where you came up with the above statement I have no idea. You've added nothing cogent or logical to this discussion. I'm not sure why you've decided to cop this attitude toward me, although maybe the subject matter is hitting too close to home for you. Good day.
  15. Did you ever wonder why it's illegal to use it without a prescription? Could it have something to do with the fact that these are controlled substances that are dangerous if misused? Oh, but if there are millions of dollars on the line then that makes it okay. Silly legalities. Always getting in the way of a good time.
  16. In the US, possession of anabolic steroids without a prescription is a federal crime. Every player juicing up to get an edge is committing a crime. I say let's not "let it go."
  17. Keep reading. "Broadcasters are also required to pay for rights whether or not games are played in 2011, although eventually that cash will have to be paid back by the league with interest."
  18. Then neither you nor Ray were watching the same game the rest of the sane world was watching.
  19. Ask the Ravens about his "noodle arm."
  20. It will be those 8 plus Don Hutson and Dick Butkus. Take it to the bank. Number one will be Jim Brown, with Jerry Rice a slim possibility of taking the top spot.
  21. Based on your ridiculous comments, the only logical conclusion is that you never saw Steve Young play.
  22. Yes, those cities did get another franchise after their team moved, but the smallest of those metro areas is Cleveland with 2 million, which is twice as much as Buffalo metro (1.1 million). Plus remember that Cleveland threatened the NFL with legal action to get another team. Right now, the best bet for keeping the team here is the mysterious Kelly group (Golisano?, Jacobs?, Rich?), plus the political clout of Sen. Schumer, who will no doubt go toe-to-toe with Goodell if there is noise about moving the team. Even with those, there is still no guarantee of the Bills staying, or getting another team if they leave.
  23. If this is your response to someone asking a question, then I suggest you take your own advice, joejoe.
  24. http://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/article/63869 "That ratio can now essentially be flipped, with the controlling owner at 10 percent and his or her family at 20 percent. This should help clubs looking to maintain family ownership of the franchise....The new rule applies to all current owners and can only be triggered by a succession plan, the sources said. Incoming owners would still be bound by the 20 percent/10 percent rule, though after a decade they would be eligible for the lower threshold, the sources said." Unless there's a succession plan in place, which previous indications say there isn't, then any new owner will have to own at least 30% outright, or 20% with 10% more owned by family.
  25. http://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/article/63869 For new owners, the lead owner must own at least 30%, or 20% plus another 10% owned by family members. For current owners with a succession plan, the lead owner can now own 10% with an additional 20% within the family. Assuming the Bills aren't staying in the Wilson family, the percentages for new owners applies.
