Agreed. The Bills were never expected to move up to grab AP. It was a foregone conclusion he would be taken in the top 10, and the Bills would have to settle for plan B (Marshawn) to fill the void after the McGahee trade.

The press conferences after this game were classic. A reporter asked Tom Coughlin if his team was prepared for the Flutie bootleg, and, paraphrasing, his reply was, "Of course we knew he was going to keep it. Everyone in the stadium knew he was going to keep it." Someone then asked Flutie about the play, and he admitted that he wasn't supposed to bootleg; it was basically a busted play and he improvised by keeping it.
