    play 20 games a year and by the playoffs every team will have half their opening day starters on IR. Beane did not low ball cleveland with the cooper trade last year and look how that turned out. I guess Beane is so poor at drafting that the 3rd round pick for 20 catches is a wash anyway.

    Beane is accumulating quite a list of 'his guys' that turn out to be busts. I get the feeling his list is longer than the average GM's list.

    With White and Rapp starting, the secondary has to have the lowest talent level in the past 25 years.

    mcdermott's scheme does not seem to friendly for any defensive player or position.

    Beane's drafting is clearly getting worse. His free agent acquisitions have always been bad, but he did make a few good signings earlier in his tenure (brown, Beasley, the safety tandem). He has a lot of chances to build a championship roster around josh and has failed miserably every year.

    I hope I am wrong about this, but I feel that the team will be stuck in the 10-12 win season, early round playoff loss jail until both beane and mcdermott are gone. They both would have been gone years ago if josh wasn't here.

    This run to two afc championship losses has not been that impressive, when you consider the competition in the afc east and the qb we have.

    Actually, any of us could have a better draft record than Beane, if all we do is when it is our turn to pick, draft the player who is one of the consensus top players left on the draft board. That means no Elam in round 1, no Coleman at the top of round 2, no Bishop in round 2, no Carter or Bernard in round 3

    This team has too many holes to fill; one trade for a wide receiver will not fix them all and the coaches probably will not know how to use whatever receiver we get anyway (see cooper, amari). Save the draft capital, fire the GM, and get someone competent to make the pick next april.

    Well, beane is smarter than all the other gms. That is why we constantly reach for players.
