  1. I went thru them all... actually went to one in Minneapolis... an AFC Championship and Superbowl appearance is something... its something important... No one talks about the Dolphins, Oilers, Raiders, Chiefs Broncos of that era they were what the Bills are today... good teams knocking on the door... but the Bills ran the AFC and for those that were too young or dont remember it was a very special time.... We currently are the Oilers, Dolphins Chiefs of this equation... they were good teams... history doesnt remember their losses in division games, or the occasional championship game... they are just lumped into that era as good teams... if we dont make the Superbowl we will just be one of those good teams... They will not be making movies and documentaries about our accomplishments, they won't talk of no one ever made it 4 times in a row... blah blah blah... I respect everyones thoughts here based on their own experience.. but as for me this team with Josh doesnt make it to a Superbowl they will be remembered as one of those good teams but wont be used in the same breath as the SuperBowl Bills.... Now... go to one and win one... they will be remembered as the best team ever... lol... but they gotta do that... JMO
  2. Yeah, all legit, could add Babich in there... but player.. I think we are expecting Ed O to ramp it up, if he doesnt I think people will be calling for him...
  3. That is what I am hoping for to be sure... its not an issue now... I am really hoping this gets solved everyone is happy and we can move on with the season.
  4. Yeah I didnt see much from him nor am I hearing out of camp ... holy crap this guy gets it and is going to be a beast etc... , its early, but if he doesnt turn it up its not gonna end well for him
  5. So part of me is like... Really... we are having this discussion over a pre season game... cmon man... there is another part of me that had hoped that I would see some semblence of difference in the Defense... not a huge fan of Babich, I am not gonna lie... and I didnt, I saw the same old get run over, give up 3rd and long soft coverage no pass rush defense we had last year... does it mean anything... not necessarily, but that doesnt mean I wasnt looking for a WOW these guys are on to something... so no, no jumping off of bridges... but patiently waiting to see if anything has changed or we are gonna throw out the same slowly bleeding out crush your soul, thank God we have Josh defense Babich/Mc D ran off last year. Time will tell...
  6. I would say that I agree here with you point for sure... if this happened in the game like cook is on the sidelines and coach says James go in there and run this... and cook said No! that would be really bad.... but that isnt what I am saying, I am saying if the coach told him he wanted him to play on tues weds thurs whatever and he told the coach no I am not gonna do that, this is him not living up to his contract... no more no less... the original post I was responding too said, something to the effect that he was living up to his contract ( I think cause he was present at camp) ... my response was, well if they wanted him to play football in a game and he told them no... and he is under contract to play football... that to me is a breach... you can agree or disagree... but to me telling him he wants him to play in a game and him saying no is a breach whenever that intent was made known.... if you think different, all good we just dont agree... that said... am I upset he said no... honestly, not really, he has been refusing to participate for a while now in TC... maybe its because they are close to a deal and he doesnt want to get hurt... I get it... maybe they arent and he is digging in... that is certainly more concerning... but the bottom line is none of us REALLY know where he is at... so I am in the He gonna do his thing we will see how it works out for him... please just dont fracture the locker room as this thing goes on... to this point he hasnt...
  7. Well saw it scrolling on the nfl channel and someone posted above the Matt Bove reported it Well what i saw reported was McDermott wanted him to play and he said no... its pretty straight forward if what is being reported is true. His coach wanted him to play and despite being under contract he refused. Now if they are reporting this wrong Well ok.. But as I said if its being reported correctly then he is not honoring his contract
  8. So I had to look it up lol apparently they do vets get 3250.00 rooks get 1850.00 its a stipend and consistent thru the league... looks like James missing out on his tip money this week 😆
  9. I dont... if the reports are true that he was asked to go in the game and he refused then to me refusing to play football when you are contracted to play football means you are breaking a contract. If what is being reported is true.
  10. If he stays healthy I know he was out not sure if he is back yet.
  11. all of them... every last one of em ... trying to take away my happiness..... LOL hate em all.
  12. I think short of missing the playoffs and losing the locker room he is here next year especially with the new stadium opening...
  13. down the speculation rabbit hole LOL... I think if he is offering 9mm or less then why? Thats just never gonna happen and it isnt even market.. so he probably isnt going to even do that... so maybe you are right and there is actually IS no offer and he is prepared to let him go... I guess time will tell.
  14. So I am not sure any of us are in the know.. but I get the feeling at this point after Williams Cook is being stubborn... I might be wrong... but he and Williams are are so close I cant see Beane saying 9mm... he is probably saying 10-12... Last I heard from Cook was 15-17mm or no deal... now again, this is just what I am hearing reported... so I honestly have no idea if this is true... but if we go by what is being reported (understanding that this may be questionable) this is Cook and his agent taking a stand IMO... and if he continues the stand then yes he could very well find him self either going the way of Bell... or sitting for a bit, not having a stellar year testing the open market next year and finding out that he is getting offers of 10 or less... Before the Williams deal I would have 100% agreed...
  15. I think I am changing my viewpoint here... I felt like there was some hope to get him signed before the season, but likely it went to a protracted hold out till week 10.. But I am now kinda with you here... I think the Kyren Williams deal 3 for 33 changed that... to increased Bills leverage... and Cook and his agent maybe questioning if 15-17mm on the open market is a realistic expectation (and it definitely wont be realistic for next year if he sits out)... that may force him to move... so I definitely feel like they either work a deal out before the season, or an in season extention happens... but I honestly dont see him not showing up for games this year.
  16. I think with the contract of the Rams RB a deal gets done before the season with a fairly good probability... And it won't be what Cook wants... that said if he isn't gonna be reasonable and sticks to his 15mm to i have heard 17mm this is gonna drag on till game 10 and get dicey that's my view. Cause he ain't getting no 17mm or 15mm for that matter 11 or 12mm is where I think he slots it... again just my opinion
  17. I dont think this ends gracefully unless he signs a contract before week 1 ... If not I think it ends in week 10 acrimoniously I really feel like he is dug in and honestly not gonna work out well for anyone... but yet I also have hope that this sit in is because we are close to a contract and he is looking to get them to move... but if that doesnt happen... I think this gets ugly...
  18. Agreed here.. if you need smelling salts to get your head straight then maybe thats a bad idea... even if not in concussion concern wouldnt it be best to wait until your consciousness came back normally... I also heard that they have a negative effect on the spleen.... so there is that LOL ....
  19. I would agree with this
  20. I completely get the spirit here... you could go with Edmunds, Phillips, Hughes, Singletary, Teller etc... sure they made impacts on their teams if they are starters and being productive etc... but the bottom line to me the only one that I think got away that we mismanaged was Teller... the rest I go with the Juice wasnt worth the squeeze, sure Edmunds is productive... is he 15mm productive... not to me... Hughes was productive to a point, was he 10mm productive, not to me... his performance was already falling off... Singletary, sure he started and did a bit but were we gonna pay him when we had Cook... so to your point, the folks we let go we made the triage cap move... you have to identify those players that are going to command a percentage of your cap that doesnt measure with thier impact and contribution to your team... with significant consideration to their replacement and their potential production.... (James Cook is in this debate with McBeane currently) ... so to me your thought is very much on point.
  21. I saw this I love when he throws and people are just floored...
  22. I know but cmon... cant you see a resemblance... LOL I think they were gonna use dna from the spleen to be sure LOL
  23. I am in Tampa, I have no choice LOL... well actually I do... I see their games a lot, he really has done a nice job with them... Down here people are kinda in the well... he isnt Jamais Winston... or Josh Freeman... and probably played as well as Brady did his last year here... and they didnt have to suck for 10 years to get a guy... but I am not sure they see him at this point as a savior... More like a Andy Dalton or even like a Tua... I will say this he seems very much engaged in the community and he is definately not causing needless drama... I will be interested to see him with another year in the system... but I digress....
  24. Well I figured Baker and Dawson would do it... but noted next time I do a (I mean lets face it) frivilous comparison I will be sure to include them LOL.. .kind of like you I am down near Tampa myself (Crystal River) but only for 2 years... I am trying with little success to incorporate a 2nd favorite NFC team (The Bucs) into my consiousness... but alas... I havent been able to do it... I think its still too soon... I will end up rooting for the lightning before becoming a true Bucs fan... That said, i have watched him and find myself kinda rooting for him... he is not a bad deal for Tampa for sure... keeps them in the playoff contention so I agree great find and really you dont see the resemblance?
  25. I agree training camp fodder unless somehow he is a revelation.. but 90% training camp fodder. Spector probably goes on IR, gets cut, or whatever... we fill the spot.
