  1. Yeah we should definitely just pass
  2. McDermott's scheme?
  3. *whispers into the mic* Our defensive scheme has been just as big if not a bigger issue than our defensive personnel
  4. Sports just scrambles people's brains. It's perfectly logical to think we need to upgrade positions on defense and our pass catchers need to be be better. Both groups have let us down repeatedly in big moments.
  5. I dk I just have very little faith in this regime to draft true impact players on either side of the ball because they've pretty much failed to do so since they picked Josh Allen. Frankly, I'm tired of this regime and wish we would go a different direction but I know that's not happening so it is what it is.
  6. "Throwing assets at the position" is literally what we've done to the defense for years
  7. Good lord man he's not even in the same realm as Antonio Brown.. Get a grip.
  8. I'll be honest at this point I'm not interested in what a side of the ball does during the regular season. I'm interested in what happens in the clutch moments of the playoffs.. and we repeatedly have been let down by pass catchers in big moments. I know everything has to be black and white but "Our defense and pass catchers both need to be improved" is a perfectly valid statement
  9. What makes you think the defense won't be a "pathetic sieve come January" when it's literally been that McDermott's entire tenure, no matter how many resources we pour into it?
  10. I think this whole argument depends on whether you think the players or the scheme are the biggest problem. If you think it's the players then sure it makes sense to draft nothing but defense. If you think it's more the scheme (which I tend to) it's frustrating watching us pour assets down a black hole when we see our pass catchers get exposed in the biggest game of the year every season.
  11. Just makes absolutely no sense
  12. Yeahhh I'm not that addicted to football
  13. Yeah can we pump the brakes? This team is still lacking a truly elite player outside of Josh Allen and this is a critically important draft.
  14. Yeah I'm just ready to move on from Hamlin and see what the draft offers at this point. We need more upside players on our defense.
  15. From Myles Garrett and Maxx Crosby to Josh Palmer, Michael Hoecht and Darrynton Evans. Life in the NFL comes at you fast.
  16. I'd rather just draft a WR than someone like Elijah Moore or Rondale Moore Those are future Trent Sherfields, Jamison Crowders, etc..
  17. I'm sure this will pan out as well as Beane's other FA WR signings
  18. So much for making a splash this offseason I guess. I'm sure we'll hit on our draft picks
  19. I would throw the house at Garrett but if we can't get a stud defender might as well upgrade at WR.. would also cost less so we'd have plenty of draft capital for defense. This team just needs talent.
  20. He'll be 35 years old when the playoffs start. No.
  21. This is a really bad year to be looking for a WR in free agency IMO
  22. NFL is rapidly approaching "Pigs get fed hogs get slaughtered" territory
  23. I thought this was a mediocre class when it was drafted and nothing has really made me believe differently to this point.
  24. Sure would be nice in big time situations to have at least 1 WR who could consistently separate
