Many fans, esp on here, want a big name, splash, flash whatever gets ESPN and any other talking heads liking us. And they also have a bad habit every offseason getting a player or three stuck in their heads and wont budge off of them no matter what, and that happened this year. The flavor of this offseason was an X WR, or a guy with size and speed to "take the top off a defense". KC hasn't had one since they traded Hill and still won a couple superbowls. SF has two really good WR's and a great RB and good TE, but still not the guy who purely takes the top off per say, and kick butt. Detroit just gave a huge contract to a guy who is considered the best all around WR right now. His 40 time? 4.61. Beane was smart, KC was going to get Worthy no matter what and he got them to give us a 3rd instead of making a pick and them getting him anyway. Look Beane is far from perfect, and who knows how these guys work out, but we are a better team today than last Thursday morning, I dont care what others say, its the truth.

Your favorite moment / game of the old core of players

MNF 1991 against the Bungals. Kelly throws a pick on all 3 of our 1st possessions. Then turns around and cracks out 5 TD passes while getting James Lofton over 200 yards receiving. Also in 1991 us beating Pittsburg with Kelly tossing 6 TD passes, 4 to Beebe. -

That's dang funny right there. -
Great post. And I think the Ravens did it last year? I agree with where the OP is going. If you have 5-6 targets totalling 4500-5000 yards, it's still 5000 yards. Let's say Shakir, Samuel, Coleman, Kincaid all get 800 yards each it's 4000 yards. And it makes it a gripe to game plan on just one guy, because on any play they can all switch positions. And that's not counting yards from our RB Corp.

What's the point of this team's philosophy?
SoonerBillsFan replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Someone posted a link yesterday, Josh only attempted I think 12 or 13 passes over 50 yards all year. Mahomes attempted less. Look I get it, everyone wants the deep ball and it will happen from last time to time, but it's not a consistency thing. Let Josh get the ball to guys short and medium most of the time, let them get YAC and have sustained drives that end in scoring. It's what KC and SF does. Yes Josh has one of the strongest arms in THE NFL, but so did Elway. Elway didn't win a superbowl until he ran Shanahans WCO. He let the running game help a ton with both scheme and Davis, and distributed the ball. He let his WR'S get RAC. and that did open up deeper shots. -
So Coleman out performed Nacua in the drills that realistically matter more than the stupid 40? Hummm....

Post Draft Super Bowl Odds Bills are still very high

5th? Did they not read this board and understand we blew the draft? That we picked the wrong WR? That we don't have a #1 WR? -

He will improve. The kid is very teachable and eager to get better. He has the physical and mental/attitude attributes. Now it's up to coaching. -
No.

I believe they are positioning themselves for 2025. Right now I am betting they expect a 9-8 or so season with a shot at a wildcard.

First look at Bills 2024 roster
SoonerBillsFan replied to No_Matter_What's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't say massive, but with all the veterans gone, it's a little step back. -
Lol I needed that. It's the one where there is a flood, and the scorpion convinces the turtle to give him a ride. Half way across the scorpion stings the turtle which will quickly paralyze him killing both.

It's the scorpion and the turtle, neither will ever change.

I wonder how Terry thinks PSL's are gonna sell with a team in "transition". I dunno everything just feels "off" this offseason esp. With Beane.
