  1. I feel like its going to be similar to the cardinals game week 1 or the dolphins game. I have convinced myself Payton is going to come out and play big and pound the ball. All this talk all week that they can not run the ball is a misnomer. Payton is going to find out quickly if the Bills can match the physicality that the broncos plan to play with. If they hold up and the bills smother the run game I think he will abandon it pretty quickly and substitute the short passing game to the backs in its place. My strongest opinion on this game is that the most important element is going to be Field Position. If Nix is starting drives inside his 20 or 25 regularly I think the Bills are going to be really really aggressive and come after him. If they have great starting field position, say 40 ish regularly the bills will be careful and the broncos will run and play patient. Field Position and the environment being great could really hamper The broncos abilities on offense. I am hoping the bills come out on defense and just stuff the run and get 2nd team Josh the ball at like the 38 ish they play downhill right away. GD I am nervous.
  2. You have no idea how different the view would be. The people here on the radio and in the media in this market, they are a perfect representative of the national media know nothing about the bills. The only 3 players they know are Allen, Miller and Demar. The fan here in Dallas spent the week saying Allen cant win in the playoffs. In the offseason they said he was overrated and for two straight years said the bills would miss the playoffs. If Josh was the qb here he would pass Mahomes as the face of the league. The cowboys in the romo years were as famous as the pats dynasty was. The bump in attention from the media if you play in Dallas is unparalleled
  3. We have our new nickname for the Defense. We need them to play angry starting sunday. I give you. The No All Pro's. has a nice ring to it. Go win the superbowl and put them on the cover of SI with that headline, How the No All Pro's won a championship. yes I know magazines are dead
  4. Without making everyone hate me I kind of would love if the mvp went to Jackson and all the media gloated about it. between that and everyone thinking the broncos are going to win, that is the kind of extra motivation that todays athletes need. being disrespected is one of the biggest things that motivates these guys. They are all rich and dating/married to beautiful women with huge houses. So being disrespected by media people and/or other players is one of the biggest things these guys gut upset about. the idea that Jackson might struggle sat night at home against Pittsburgh while everyone acknowledges he has won the mvp again could be just what we need to get a pissed off angry motivated team.
  5. well if you thought the chiefs were going to lose 2 of their last 4 after they won like 21 of 23 games or whatever it was then we see football much different.
  6. I am even more nervous today!!! Can't get my mind focused on anything else today. I am going to break out the nfl films autumn thunder box set and attack the laundry today.
  7. Ha anything is possible.
  8. Sean McDermott is on with Sal and here is what he has to say about injuries. Codrington is questionable with the hamstring. Ingram is back with the team after having a new baby. everyone else is good.
  9. he also said an extra flight has been added to buffalo from denver for the broncos fans coming to the game. dear season ticket holders please stop selling your tickets!!! If you are a season ticket holder and sell tickets to a home playoff game well why are you a season ticket holder?
  10. how would the bills have more to play for? If you win your division you get a higher seed and if you have the best record of the division winners you get the 1 seed and a bye. So nothing would have been different for buffalo this year. Once they lost to the rams the 1 seed was essentially out. if divisions and the history of the game doesn't make sense to you why stop there, lets make field goals worth more points the farther they are away, inside the 25, 1 pt, inside the 50 3 points over 50 5 points.....whats the difference and this would give teams more incentive to not punt and make games more exciting. maybe interceptions should start being worth 2 points like a safety. I mean who cares about the tradition and history of the league. I am pulling for the rams to win this game and the bucs too for that matter to further enforce how important it is to win your division and get a home game.
  11. Because that is the nfl. It ensures teams play to win the division. if Minnesota is that much better than the rams which everyone is saying here then they should win in a blowout like Dallas did at Tampa in 2022. this is a rule that should never change but I know the new generation of nfl fans care nothing about the history of the league or rivalries and are all about individual players and accomplishments. Again though If the Vikings are this much better they should win in a blowout.
  12. Howard cross in the stands and the broadcast doesn’t mention him.
  13. Yea if you are just making things up. Winning the division means something and always should. the rams beat the Vikings during the regular season so this idea that the rams are so far behind Minnesota is nonsense. If they didn’t have the injuries they had earlier in the year and tried to win the final week they may have another win or three.
  14. I think he is going to play some. Not start for Hamlin but I can see him having a role similar to what rapp did last year as the third safety in different packages like their dime.
  15. yea and he threw the game away with a terrible interception.
  16. yea but its not the same as a 7 seed getting an extra day of rest over the 2 seed. It stinks the mnf game winner loses a day of prep though and it is absolutely not fair. But hey, tv ratings.
  17. was it? Well I just remembered that part wrong. I know the vikings were great at home though for like a year and a half.
  18. ‪Joe Buscaglia‬ ‪@joebuscaglia.bsky.social‬ · 10m Bills PR/KR Brandon Codrington was on the field for a couple of reps. When the team went to positional drills, Codrington was no longer participating. Ja’Marcus Ingram was a DNP, he missed Wednesday due to an excused absence. The rest of the Bills were practicing Thursday.
  19. i imagine Shakir is the fail/safe for when they are returning punts and maybe backed up.
  20. I understand the thought process of the OP. Risking specialists in mop up situations or meaningless team situations is usually a no no. The flip side of that is they were not going to play any of their corners that will play in the postseason and Codrington has played corner this year in blowouts before. Ty johnson will return kicks and I imagine they have a plan for punt returns. For instance. If the Bills have denver backed up punting inside their own 20 they will probably have someone returning punts they feel could make the play since the broncos will be in a protect formation and will give the returner time to catch and put his head up and go. if the broncos are punting from midfield ish, I imagine they put someone back there, maybe johnson or shakir with express intent on calling fair catch and just making the catch or standing on the 10 and just letting it go if it is over his head. It stinks codrington won't play sunday but its a manageable situation and especially because they are at home. I think it gives them a unique ability this week to go long at another position on sunday. Maybe linebacker or defensive line.
  21. They had a losing record once in the previous 4 or 5 years. They had a talented roster. Yes the location of the team was an issue and no one was sure if the city could handle an nfl season going into 06. They sure did. They battled injuries the next few seasons before finally having a healthy roster in the superbowl year. They had training camp in Shreveport and it helped them actually. They all credited for creating a bigger team bond. They made the NFC championship in the first year. Not a worse job? Ok then. Have a nice day.
  22. I haven't really viewed it like that. Payton has more experience and has won in the toughest of environments and lost in games he should have won. He has been a part of it all. He is an excellent play caller and when he finds a weakness he is going to hammer it over and over. He has been in a situation exactly like this before. in 2009 the Minnesota Vikings hadn't lost a home game in like 15 games or something and were 9-0 on the season at home. They were like this years ravens. Peterson and Favre seemed unstoppable. The saints went there and won in a ridiculous environment in the old metrodome. it was insanely loud. Favre threw the game away at the end with a terrible INT. Point being. He knows these games and will not flubb a simple decision (more than likely) and knows exactly how to prepare for games like this. This is why he was hired. He knows the pressure is all on Buffalo and if they can get a lead and make it close late the bills might tighten up and the crowd will quiet down and the nervousness turns to anger at the coaches and players. The Bills need to play with a lead and make Payton and the Broncos chase the game. I really hope the Bills come out on defense first and make a statement like the lions game then they will get some nervous energy out and have the ball after the half, hopefully with a lead.
  23. Must be nice. I am not wired that way and have watched way too much football in my life to make a statement like no way they are losing this game. Sean Payton is going to find whatever the weakness is in the defense and then attack it over and over and over. This is an extremely tough matchup that will require everyone to be on their p's and q's. Field Position, Playing with a lead and making no mistakes seem like the key to the game.
  24. I would have been insufferable this week had we played the bengals and they got the extra day to prepare. the nfl can never allow this to happen again.
  25. Well it’s Thursday and I am even more nervous this morning. pass the Rolaids.
