  1. Buscaglia's reasoning for him (Ezeiruaku) was that he plays on the right side mostly(60%), he has above average arm length and has the explosiveness the bills covet. He seems to me like a guy you take because you think you have to take an end because you need an end. I don't see how lining up a 250 pound defensive end without dominant traits is a fit in this defense. I guess there are a lot of guys his size, I mean he is basically the same size as vonn miller. So what do I know. I just personally wasn't a fan of these three picks in the top 100. Good thing is it will change about a dozen times by the time of the draft.
  2. No one should ever care about what Andy Reid says about the running game.
  3. Bills 7-round mock draft: A new weapon for Josh Allen and filling big needs on defense Round 1 The pick at No. 30 — Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College Round 2 The pick at No. 56 — Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State The pick at No. 62 — Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame Round 4 The pick at No. 107 – J.J. Pegues, DT, Ole Miss The pick at No. 130 — Billy Bowman Jr., S, Oklahoma Round 5 The pick at No. 171 (projected compensatory pick) — Cody Simon, LB Ohio State The pick at No. 174 (projected compensatory pick) — Jo’quavious “Woody” Marks, RB, USC Round 6 The pick at No. 177 — G/T Jack Nelson, Wisconsin The pick at No. 179 — Kurtis Rourke, QB, Indiana The pick at No. 206 — James Burnip, P, Alabama Here is what Dane Brugler had to say about Donovan Ezeiruaku Ezeiruaku is more “dip and rip” than “force player” as a pass rusher, because of his natural feel for depth points and the different ways he uses jab steps and cross-chops to soften the corner. He ranked top three in the FBS this season in both sacks (16.5) and tackles for loss (20.5). He can be overwhelmed at times versus the run but flashes the length to get into his opponent’s pads, lock out and stalemate the point of attack, especially on the move. Brugler on Jalen Royals Thanks in part to his basketball background, Royals has a controlled, fluid stride and natural body coordination to be a weapon before and after the catch (10 catches of 50-plus yards over the last two seasons, No. 1 in the FBS). His tape showed heavy helpings of screens, hitches and go routes, and he is still learning the nuances of route running, but he already showed improvements during Senior Bowl practices. Brugler on Benjamin Morrison Regardless of the coverage, Morrison has terrific foot quickness, body fluidity and technique to mirror early and regain phase late, which allows him make plays on the football without panic. He shows a natural feel in coverage and understands play indicators, although play-strength and durability concerns will follow him to the next level. As he's back from his second hip surgery, Morrison's medicals will be critical for his final grade. I have to say I am not exactly a fan of that being the top 3. I am sure it will change many many times before the draft.
  4. Daquan was good in the playoffs. He will be a nice rotational player next year and not the starter hopefully.
  5. He has earned the right to ask for the moon and the stars. Hopefully its not a holdout situation but he was awesome this year.
  6. I like the idea of Signing Andre Cisco and then letting Bishop or rapp be the third guy and come in with the sub packages like rapp did in 23. Rapp has been hurt for each of the playoff runs now, missing both kc games. He can't be relied on. I would also sign Darius Slayton. Then you are rolling into the draft with no position screaming it needs help other than corner.
  7. "Once upon a time not long ago, when people wore pajamas and lived life slow.." For those of you who were not teenagers/young adults in the late 80s early 90s you missed out on driving around in a car full of friends with 12" kickers in the trunk powered by a rockford fosgate amp and an alpine tape deck. Slick Rick's "Children's Story" was a must in this situation. Glad to see Allen always is who we think he is. A lot of people are not.
  8. This is man defense misunderstanding is the new #1 wr talking point. we are going to get months of this. I don’t think he is on the bills radar but we now have his first defensive line coach on the staff. He played really well for him in New Orleans .
  9. I don’t believe anything that Twitter account posts. parsons is also a guy who wouldn’t fit in buffalo. He doesn’t really have a position, disappears a lot and rarely plays the run well. if Buffalo played a 34 maybe he could fit but he doesn’t right now in any way imo.
  10. Yea, my wife doesn’t believe I am not going to watch the game. So we bet that I won’t. if she wins she gets to yell at me and say I knew you would watch, you have never missed a game. if I win she gets to yell at me and tell me I am stupid because why would you watch every nfl game all year and then not watch to see who wins it all.
  11. Plus I think he and Carr know each other. They played against each other in college! Which is pretty funny.
  12. Babbich didn't do anything wrong. The team went to the afc championship game, played a great game against detroit and baltimore two basically unstoppable offenses. They just came up short in KC. He needs better players. Dorsey on the other hand just kind of fell into the job when daboll left. Then after the team rebuilt the offense to run the ball refused to do it. What he did in that broncos game on mnf two years ago was coaching malpractice. Absolutely not simliar in any way. Missing rapp and benford yet again in the chiefs playoff game was a major issue. Two years in a row.
  13. Yes he deserved it. He should have been fired at halftime of the broncos game not after it. didferent situation.
  14. It never gets better. I would like to rewatch the game but I am not ready for that. This is why the universe gave us people like the great Sam Cooke.
  15. do you know the population is so high in ireland?
  16. no trading up with the top 100 picks. Its a deep defensive draft. There are good DT's safeties, edge guys. stay put and make the best picks you can. I am in favor of taking some of those 6's and getting back into the 4th or 5th. I wouldnt be against moving next years 3 and a 5 this year or something to get back into the 3rd to recoup the loss of the pick for cooper. Free agency for offensive players Draft for defensive players. They need to find 4 players on defense for next years team.
  17. The Buck Showalter thing. Steinbrenner came to him and told him to fire a number of coaches at the end of 95, I think he wanted nardi contreras and rick downs fired, and showalter told him to get out of his office he will run the team. Showalter was fired along with everyone else, then Joe Torre got hired and hired some new guys specifically Mel Stottlemyer and with the organization that Showalter and Gene Michaels built oversaw a dynasty! Takes guts to walk away on principle from something you had a major hand in building.
  18. I take from that Doug Pederson is a good dude. Lots of guys just fire everyone when they are told to in order to save their own ass. good for pederson for not being a stooge.
  19. Eric Allen and sterling sharpe? why in the world are they in the hall of fame?
  20. Yea thats true. Manning was a big part of the losing though and I don't believe Allen is in any way. I mean I don't recall manning giving the colts the lead at the end of the game. Might have happened but I don't remember it. I do remember manning being confused and turning the ball over a lot though. I also remember manning complaining all offseason in 03 and 04 that the pats defense cheats and gets to hold longer than any other team. He specifically complained about their linebackers and safeties holding up their tight ends all the time. The league appeased him and really started emphasizing that 5 yard rule after that. Bernie Kosar on the other hand did give his team the lead late to which they blew it in 86, then byner fumbled in 87! Heartbreaking stuff like 13 seconds. I guess you could also make the case the Bills are in the same boat as the 90's Packers (most overrated team ever). They could not beat Dallas in the regular season or the postseason. They only won a superbowl in 96 because the niners had leveraged their future in 94 and then those guys walked and they weren't as good and because Dallas fired Jimmie Johnson or he quite whatever and Dallas limped into 96 with an old exhausted team with no head coach. The panthers knocked out Dallas for them and then GB killed them. Its like if Houston had Beat KC three weeks ago. Buffalo would have killed houston at home. Oh well. either way. I am going to be watching Barney Miller re runs or something sunday to avoid looking at andy reid's face.
  21. Cool story. It sucks that allen tripped a wide open Amari Cooper on a perfect play call which caused him to gain 5 yards instead of probably north of 60. It also sucks that he knocked the ball away from Dalton Kincaid. I wish Allen didn't do those things in the game. Mac Jones is a free agent maybe they can get him in here.
  22. side note to the discussion here but. I wonder if Nielsen will have a positive report on Jaguars Safety Andre Cisco. He is an undrafted free agent and played at SU. A 3 some of Rapp, Bishop, Cisco could be a good one. I mean its not a 3 some as good as like one with Tiffani Thiessen and Cindy Crawford...but it could be pretty good. Plus I guess add in Cam Lewis. He is a veteran that will have some idea of playing in buffalo and living in the climate, also a NY guy from Long Island. Getting a vet in that wont break the bank to go with Rapp and Bishop could maybe give them more options on draft day. Not that he or bishop or rapp should ever stop them from drafting a true difference maker if one is there when they pick in the top 100. just putting it out there.
  23. yea maybe we would be. What a thing to imagine being. The Bills could be multiple super bowl winners at this point. Same could be said of the 49ers I guess and maybe the eagles after sunday. We are to the chiefs at the moment as the Browns were to the bronco's in the 80s. It was just always something with the browns in those games.
  24. not to be a jerk but I said back in september the only team good enough to beat the chiefs because of the way they play was Buffalo and that is because Allen overcomes all of it. Until he needs someone to step up on the defenisve side in the playoffs. that he can't overcome. If the eagles lose I will actually have been proven right for a change.
