  1. I’m only bringing up the accolades because you questioned Mahomes having the most accomplished start to a career for the position. It isn’t even debatable at this point. Allen is very talented but hof will remain to be seen without a Lombardi. Right now he’s on the Phillip Rivers career track.
  2. Allen was great during the 13 sec game…in a losing effort. That game was 2 seasons ago now. He hasn’t played up to that level in postseason since. This past wc playoff he single-handedly brought the Dolphins back into the game with his turnovers. If the Dolphins won that game he could’ve been mvp for them. Bills should’ve won going away. In the Cincy game he was really disappointing. You can’t score 10pts in the playoffs as an elite qb. You just can’t. There were plays to be made if you watch the game over. He just didn’t make them. Yes, I and a minority of others, hold him accountable as much as the rest of the team. You seem to think the only way to be real fans is to say he can do no wrong and is the most talented ever.
  3. I think we have very different definitions of working hard. 😂 Bills overall receiving corp was better than Chiefs this past season. It’s not like Bills are devoid of talent. Davis would be WR1 in KC right now. You did the unthinkable for most on this board. Implying, hinting, thinking (as fleeting as it may be) that Mahomes might have done better for the Bills if he was drafted by the Bills. Triggered topic around here for sure. 😅
  4. Do you think when people look at results of each year’s playoffs that they’d dig into the minutiae of all the games and look for excuses? Or do they simply form narratives based on results of those games. Whatever your personal reasoning is, and we all have them, Bills have lost in the playoffs. Knocked out every January. The qb gets a big portion of the credit when a team does well so conversely the qb also takes majority of the blame. That’s why they get paid the big bucks. Some of you can’t or won’t tie Allen to the Bills when critiquing the team. He is a big part of this team. Its leader. When goals aren’t met leaders get blamed. He is very talented but far from a finished product. He has to improve along with the team to get to the next level.
  5. So you’re saying Henne could’ve won those Superbowls for KC? As for Mahomes looking lost after his OL got hurt…was this the season they thrashed us in the AFCCG (‘20-‘21) or the season he broke all Bills fans hearts in 13 sec (‘21-‘22)? Cuz he didn’t looked very lost in those games. He did struggled in the Superbowl against TB when 4 starting linemen were out. I guess that’s what you meant?
  6. It’s hard to give credit when the competition was not complete. When I said the NFL was more established I wasn’t implying that the NFL team would win if they’d played. I was implying there were more talent on that side as it was more established. So you can’t expect most Bills fans to be comforted by those distant championships from a bygone era when the Bills keep getting knocked out every January. That’s why Romo’s ill advised moniker ‘Mr. January’ for Allen during the WC around was very cringey. Takes on a whole different unintended meaning when you keep losing. But if you personally can find solace in those old championships then more power to ya! 👍
  7. Yeah sure. That’s the same hollow record as the Herbert one with best stats first 2 yrs starting blah blah. Both are possible because of a technicality. Which, of course, was Mahomes sitting out his first year. If you took Mahomes’ 1st 5 Starting years it’s not even close. There’s a reason he has won 2 league MVPs and our guy hasn’t right? But that should not be the focus for Bills fans. Mahomes is great for KC. Awesome. Allen is very good as well. Let’s see if he can take that next step and win a 🏆
  8. So let me follow this logic. The NFL and AFL winners had the right to call themselves world champions even though the two didn’t played and the NFL was the more established league. And this means, in your mind, the Bills have two wannabe ‘Superbowls’? Man I hope you don’t bring this line of thinking when discussing Bills football with others in person. As for me there’s no replacing the real thing no matter how much twisted logic gets applied. I want an actual Superbowl with a Lombardi Trophy 🏆
  9. Really??? You’re counting AFL titles as equal to Superbowls? That’s like touting a USFL or XFL championship if those leagues happen to merge with the NFL at some point in the future. C’mon man. That’s straight crazy talk. Maybe that’s where your misplaced confidence is coming from. I don’t have much confidence that they could win multiple championships. I just hope that Allen and the team can learn from their mistakes and able to get it done ONE year. Probably in a year that KC is down. I mean, Mahomes can’t be in every AFCCG can he?
  10. Is this hubris, delusional, or sarcasm? Most fans that follow the Bills just hope (wish) for ONE Superbowl win just to know what that feeling is like. For a franchise that hasn’t won a Superbowl ever don’t you think it’s unrealistic to expect multiple? Just because your bias for Allen won’t allow for the possibility of Mahomes being better? Mahomes can be the best right now or the best ever as long as the Bills get one. It isn’t a competition between Mahomes vs Allen. At least it shouldn’t be. It’s a team sport where success is measured by Superbowl wins. Let’s get that one. Bills fans deserve this.
  11. I’ve thought about this as well. Mahomes has had the best start of any qb in the history of the league in terms of championships and individual records. With or without Reid he was going to be elite and taken any team to contention and probably a title. So of course Bills fans will wonder what if. But I truly think even if the Bills didn’t make that trade they wouldn’t have taken Mahomes at 10. They didn’t have the coaching foresight to see the talent in him. Not many did otherwise he’d went #1.
  12. Secure a wc berth in the playoffs to avoid Buffalo’s weather. It’s too much of an advantage for the opposition.
  13. People forget that Montana won his first 2 superbowls before Rice got there. Between Brady and the real ‘Joe Cool’ it’s Montana all the way for me.
  14. Wow I didn’t realize this. The same number of possessions huh? I must be watching a different game all these years.
  15. Obviously winning can’t be clear if you lost. In future games with KC maybe committing to an effective running attack that could shorten the game would be more ideal than shooting it out. Limiting Mahomes’ possessions.
  16. I did read your original post. That’s why I commented that making the actual pick is not strategically smart. Trading down is fine if you can gain from it. But to actually assume the risk isn’t smart. Edit: But this is the offseason so just chatting football is entertaining!
  17. Well ya if we know in advance they’d win all their playoff games and get a championship then it doesn’t matter how the regular season ends as long as they make the playoffs. But the unknown is the beauty of sports. It makes winning that much more exhilarating and losing that much more devastating. I see where you’re coming from. All Bills fans want a championship and it’s frustrating when it doesn’t happen. No matter what I’ll always make time on game days to watch. 👍
  18. If he’s that much in demand that ‘you knew you could instantly flip the player and make your team better’ wouldn’t it make more sense to trade that pick to those teams that want him? It would lessen your risk of wasting a pick if the ‘demand’ never materialized. Just spitballing down your rabbit hole.
  19. Any choice that includes drafting a qb in the first round while having Allen in his prime deserves eyerolls.
  20. Sure of course. Everyone can see Allen has hit his peak and will decline. Let’s look for his replacement now. 🙄
  21. The most homers of fans would acknowledge this team has failed in the playoffs regardless of the reasons why. Some are just saying that doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy a great reason because of it. I mean 13-3 is still more enjoyable than 9-7 is it not? Even if both ends with divisional losses.
  22. To your point, KC just signed Richie James from the Giants. He’ll flourish with Mahomes next season. You’d think with the relationship Daboll has with McD he’d be sending good talent this way. IE Toney now James. Allen is great but let’s not say he shouldn’t get any blame. As long as this team falls short of a championship there will be plenty of blame to pass around. Especially to the qb position, justifiably so.
