I watch a lot of Chiefs games and I can say without a doubt that laminated poster is a burgers menu! He has one (or 5) delivered after every game.

You’re so right. This has been my observation as well. I don’t think that’s how Allen is built. Nothing bad about it. But I do wish he’s more involved that way with his teammates. Everyone should be able to see that Diggs is a diva. Great WRs usually are. When things are going well he’s the greatest teammate. When things aren’t he’ll lash out because he ‘wants to win’. It is what it is. Also not a big deal that he’s not here for the first ota.

First off I never said I don’t want Allen to be the Bills qb. I firmly believe he is the perfect qb for this team. To me he is 2nd best in the league behind you know who. He’s better than the other qb you admire in Burrow. Give Allen those 3 #1 receivers Burrow has and he’d probably get 50 TDs every season. Yeah the team has suffered through a long period of crap qb’s and Allen has lifted us out of that. Now standards and expectations are raised because of it. To reach the ultimate goal Allen has to lead this team there. He won’t be able to do that if he can’t overcome his mistakes. I don’t think it’s silly to criticize a qb for this. You apparently think it’s silly to criticize at all. What happens next year if this team gets bounced again? Who will the blame fall on? It can’t always be everyone else. Listen it’s great that the Bills are relevant again after many years in the dark. But goals have risen and fans should not be satisfied with good regular seasons then fall flat when it matters most. Now let’s address your soapbox fandom rant. So to be a real fan one has to react to team’s accomplishments or shortcomings the exact way you’d like them to. Otherwise they’re not real fans. What’s so outrageous about believing Davis would do well in KC? Their wr room is filled with castoffs #2-#4 jag’s. Davis’ talent would absolutely shine there. How would you characterize it? 🤷 You’re comparing Allen’s performance in the Cincy game to Mahomes 2nd SB game where he lost most of his Oline and playing through turf toe? Again 2nd SB game. Where he already won the first. And now have added a 3rd SB appearance and 2nd ring. I think most would say he’d get a pass. How are my critiques of Allen nitpicking and over the top? I’ve said he panicks in certain situations that have led to mistakes and turnovers. I’ve said he needed to play with more poise in big moments and not get flustered. I’ve said he doesn’t see the whole field sometimes and not take what defenses give him. All these elite qb’s have tremendous physical gifts and abilities. What separates them is mostly between the ears. Maybe if you remove those homer glasses you’d see these are fair assessments. And there you go again. Accusing people of not being real fans because they have the audacity to question the qb. He has done so much. We should be grateful because without him we’d win 8 games at most. Yada yada. Sometimes I do wish I’m not a real fan. It would erased at minimum four very painful experiences from the 90s. 😂

I’m only bringing up the accolades because you questioned Mahomes having the most accomplished start to a career for the position. It isn’t even debatable at this point. Allen is very talented but hof will remain to be seen without a Lombardi. Right now he’s on the Phillip Rivers career track.

Allen was great during the 13 sec game…in a losing effort. That game was 2 seasons ago now. He hasn’t played up to that level in postseason since. This past wc playoff he single-handedly brought the Dolphins back into the game with his turnovers. If the Dolphins won that game he could’ve been mvp for them. Bills should’ve won going away. In the Cincy game he was really disappointing. You can’t score 10pts in the playoffs as an elite qb. You just can’t. There were plays to be made if you watch the game over. He just didn’t make them. Yes, I and a minority of others, hold him accountable as much as the rest of the team. You seem to think the only way to be real fans is to say he can do no wrong and is the most talented ever.

I think we have very different definitions of working hard. 😂 Bills overall receiving corp was better than Chiefs this past season. It’s not like Bills are devoid of talent. Davis would be WR1 in KC right now. You did the unthinkable for most on this board. Implying, hinting, thinking (as fleeting as it may be) that Mahomes might have done better for the Bills if he was drafted by the Bills. Triggered topic around here for sure. 😅

Do you think when people look at results of each year’s playoffs that they’d dig into the minutiae of all the games and look for excuses? Or do they simply form narratives based on results of those games. Whatever your personal reasoning is, and we all have them, Bills have lost in the playoffs. Knocked out every January. The qb gets a big portion of the credit when a team does well so conversely the qb also takes majority of the blame. That’s why they get paid the big bucks. Some of you can’t or won’t tie Allen to the Bills when critiquing the team. He is a big part of this team. Its leader. When goals aren’t met leaders get blamed. He is very talented but far from a finished product. He has to improve along with the team to get to the next level.

As for Mahomes looking lost after his OL got hurt…was this the season they thrashed us in the AFCCG (‘20-‘21) or the season he broke all Bills fans hearts in 13 sec (‘21-‘22)? It’s hard to give credit when the competition was not complete. When I said the NFL was more established I wasn’t implying that the NFL team would win if they’d played. I was implying there were more talent on that side as it was more established. So you can’t expect most Bills fans to be comforted by those distant championships from a bygone era when the Bills keep getting knocked out every January. That’s why Romo’s ill advised moniker ‘Mr. January’ for Allen during the WC around was very cringey. Takes on a whole different unintended meaning when you keep losing. So let me follow this logic. The NFL and AFL winners had the right to call themselves world champions even though the two didn’t played and the NFL was the more established league. Is this hubris, delusional, or sarcasm? Most fans that follow the Bills just hope (wish) for ONE Superbowl win just to know what that feeling is like. For a franchise that hasn’t won a Superbowl ever don’t you think it’s unrealistic to expect multiple? Just because your bias for Allen won’t allow for the possibility of Mahomes being better? Mahomes can be the best right now or the best ever as long as the Bills get one. It isn’t a competition between Mahomes vs Allen. At least it shouldn’t be. It’s a team sport where success is measured by Superbowl wins. Let’s get that one. Bills fans deserve this.

I’ve thought about this as well. Mahomes has had the best start of any qb in the history of the league in terms of championships and individual records. With or without Reid he was going to be elite and taken any team to contention and probably a title. So of course Bills fans will wonder what if. But I truly think even if the Bills didn’t make that trade they wouldn’t have taken Mahomes at 10. They didn’t have the coaching foresight to see the talent in him. Not many did otherwise he’d went #1.

Secure a wc berth in the playoffs to avoid Buffalo’s weather. It’s too much of an advantage for the opposition.
