  1. I think what happened is Jauron was joking around and said "Alright, this is a big play. I think it's time for our secret weapon, Shaud Williams." And everyone laughed at his sarcasm. Everyone, that is, except Shaud Williams who thought he was serious and immediately ran onto the field. And then no one had the heart to tell him it was a joke so they let him have the ball.
  2. We won't even come close to containing Peyton Manning either. He's WAY too good.
  3. The Bills have so many needs that I'd really be OK with them just taking the best player available at any of those positions. And hopefully it's someone Mel Kiper isn't excited about so that we can watch him freak out again.
  4. He says he's still not 100% back from his injury last year. He may turn out to be a complete dud but he's signed through next year and there's still a (small) chance he turns out to be a lot more than what he's been so far.
  5. I was surprised by how good Jim Lorentz sounded. And Mike Robitaille's color commentary was awesome.
  6. He was lucky to be born talented enough to run out of the pocket and throw a perfect sideline pass to Roscoe Parrish 30 yards down the field with 10 seconds left in the game.
  7. I'd much rather have Donte Whitner right now than Mario Williams, given what both are paid. Drafting in the top 3 guarantees nothing. It's about drafting well, not drafting high.
  8. The hype around Notre Dame is NEVER OVER. There's at least one guy around here who is still holding out for Brady Quinn to come to Buffalo next year.
  9. Brady was so darn average in those last three drives in those three Super Bowls.
  10. The JP Bandwagon is full, but there's plenty of room on the JP Short Bus. Alllllllllllllll aboard!
  11. Losman is clearly not a team player. He only cares about his own reputation and not the future of the team. These wins are killing our chance at drafting higher.
  12. I saw the last two minutes too. That last throw to Roscoe was PERFECT.
  13. Go get your own JP Losman vehicle to ride. Bandwagon's full.
  14. Another "worst-case scenario win" for DeLuca. Losman does it again!
  15. From the Double Standards Department: Kanye West I can't even imagine what would happen if a white celebrity called mixed-race people "mutts." (BTW, when the hell did Kanye West find his way into the hood? That douche bag is from the suburbs.)
  16. I also don't understand how letting the most talented QB on the team and the guy with the most potential continue to play counts as "mortgaging the future."
  17. Right, because most quarterbacks come into the league and immediately dominate and put up winning records. Especially when they have as much talent around them as Losman does. The Bills win and lose as a team, dummy. Every QB's performance is directly related to his blocking, his having receivers to get open, his having receivers who can catch the ball (ask Robert Royal), and having a running game. The Bills have had poor blocking all year, one receiver who can get open and catch the ball, and a below-average running game. Not that I think you would ever acknowledge any of these things or explain why Brady Quinn would address them.
  18. 17 points is just not a great score when you consider that any reference to "The Oil Companies" would have been worth 20 points. You really have to wonder what he was thinking when he was typing this thing. This player clearly has some talent but you really have to question his decision making when he makes huge mistakes like that. Other missed opportunities: Mentioning Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, or Rove by name -- 2 points (each) Implying any sort of conspiracy -- 4 points Mention Iraq in environmental thread -- 8 points That's another 20 points he just won't be receiving from the judges.
  19. I guess it's a little sadistic, but I really enjoy finding an opinionated moron and just beating him senseless with "facts" and "common sense." The funny thing is that Deluca's opinions, which are completely hilarious to everyone here, are basically the same as those of WGR's "Bulldog" and that guy is on the radio several times a week.
  20. You mean he has 20 starts split between two coaching staffs and two offenses, all while playing for a team that probably has some of the least talent in the NFL? Yeah, no kidding. You never seem to address any of the so-called "excuses." Are you saying you think we have good receivers besides Evans? Are you saying we have even one good TE on this team? A fullback? An offensive line? JP, along with every other player on this team, is learning a new offense this year. JP is also learning how to be an NFL quarterback. His QB rating is around 85 which is about all you could hope for given the situation. I know you have no response to this besides "Loseman stinks!" but that's OK because everyone is still content mocking you for the ridiculous "Winning hurts the franchise" comment on Sunday. (You also never explained why the Texans still suck after drafting high for so many years.)
  21. We're on a mission from God!
  22. To be fair, he's only really had one receiver his whole career. No TE. No FB. Lousy offensive line. And he's trying to learn a new offense this year. Given all that he's doing pretty good.
  23. Yeah, good luck with that. Sounds like we'll be seeing you on Dateline NBC pretty soon.
  24. The Yankees were actually all set to drastically change their road uniforms in the 1970s. The new road uniforms would have been a reverse of the home uniforms -- solid midnight blue jersey and pants with white pinstripes. The prototypes were made and ready to go but the whole thing was scrapped because one of the players saw them and freaked out. He called them pajamas and management was so embarassed they just dropped the whole thing. All jerseys should be as classy as this.
