  1. Best Bills moment in at least five years and this is your response? If you can't be happy with Losman right now then suck my balls.
  2. Eat it, Losman haters.
  3. Exactly. The cops had to be thinking that. Why isn't this guy leaving? Is he up to something? Is there anything else going on here beside just some dumbass student (was he a student? why no ID?) mouthing off. Cops have to ask questions that most of us never have to worry about. It's so easy to sit back all the time and say the cops should do this and not that.
  4. IT'S A SLOGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I definitely catch a few minutes of him here and there. It's the same reason I used to check out rotten.com. It's so horrible and yet you just need to see the car wreck take place.
  6. Worldwide or in the states?? Oh screw it, I'll just check out Target tomorrow.
  7. Yes I honestly believe that. I don't think he thought he'd get tased. I think he thought he'd get roughed up and possibly take a few punches, which can be much worse for your health in the long term. If he didn't want things to get really bad he would have left.
  8. Because it's really, really hard to move someone who doesn't want to be moved and is fighting with you every step of the way. Not to mention they won't have to just move him out of the library but out of the building and probably down some stairs. There's no way you can do that without getting seriously physical which means he'd probably get just as hurt if not much worse. He'd be showing up in civil court with a neck brace and his arm in a cast.
  9. I DO pray that I am never in the hands of an angry cop (well, not literally, but maybe I'll start). I understand that there are bad cops. I think this was a clear case of some college kid doing everything he could to make things worse and getting his wish. I probably wouldn't have used a taser because in retrospect it looks like that was exactly what he wanted. But that's easy for me to say now. I wasn't there and no one could know that. I'm not a cop. I've never been responsible for keeping people safe. And I can totally understand if these guys got a little jumpy because this "student" (they didn't even know that) was acting like a lunatic when asked to leave. Being a cop makes you a target. It also means you are required to do everything in your power to keep people safe but never do anything more than what some people might say is too much ("some people" including those arrested who are going to sue you). Or else you get fired. Oh, and the whole time you get paid nothing.
  10. You can still do some damage if you're on the ground and in handcuffs. I don't think they tased (sp?) him because they thought he was just an a-hole who deserved it. How? By becoming cops? Part of being a cop is dealing with people who hate you and can't be made to do anything except by force. You're right. This didn't have to happen. The stupid little boy could have just left when asked to leave. Over and over. He wouldn't and the police were called to remove him. He ended up getting hurt. Boo hoo.
  11. So you really think he was leaving and the cops just decided to tackle and taser him? If by "leaving" he was taking a step towards the door and then stopping to make a scene for a few minutes before considering taking another step, then that's not leaving. That's pretty much just seeing what you can get away with. It should take 10 seconds to leave. I can understand the cops taking him by the arm at that point (does anyone have a problem with that?) and then him flipping out took the situation up another couple notches. Do you really think the cops wanted this? Hell no. I'm sure every cop knows that there's always a chance they're going to do their job and get fired for it if people don't like it. I feel bad for the cops for even being put in this situation.
  12. Is there any chance of still getting a Wii this week if I haven't pre-ordered one? I just read the review of the new Zelda and now I'm thinking I won't be able to wait a few months to pick one up. I have no idea why people are so retarded about getting their hands on a PS3 this Christmas. There are NO must-have games for it yet and it costs at least $600 (more if you go the eBay way).
  13. Like I said before, the cops have no idea why this guy won't leave the library. They don't know if he's really a student because he doesn't have ID. They have no idea why he's acting so irrational when asked to leave the library. They don't know why he completely flips out when they grab his arm (most likely his upper arm) to escort him out of the building (which is pretty much exactly what you would expect the police to do when someone won't leave). For all they know he's on drugs or carrying a weapon or just plain nuts. Basically this idiot student did everything he could to prolong the situation and makes things worse until the police finally did something wrong or at least something that people would latch onto to say the police were the bad guys. And even if they never used the taser, you know this guy would be showing up in civil court with a neck brace talking about the racist cops who targetted him because he's Iranian. You could do just as much damage jumping on top of the guy to get him under control, maybe more. It's not easy to subdue and move a person who is struggling and fighting you every step of the way. Especially when you're surrounded by a bunch of people who immediately think he's a hero for standing up to the "rent-a-cops."
  14. Fantastic. And is there any way of knowing how long he was zapped with the taser from the video (audio) clip? Three seconds is a long time to be holding a taser to someone. It's more likely he was zapped for less than 1 second each time.
  15. Don't be embarassed, molson_fumbles. I think it's cool that you have someone to look up to.
  16. What a coincidence! Keith Olbermann had a big segment about this on his show last night and now you're here posting the exact same thing. Hmmmm...
  17. If you didn't watch the video then stop posting in this thread. No student was ever threatened for asking for a badge number. One student was told to move back or else he would be tased. Not really surprising that there are already two HUGE lies about this story: 1. That the initial student was tasered because "he didn't have his ID badge." 2. That other students were threatened because they asked for badge numbers from the officers.
  18. Science H. Logic! It doesn't matter! They're all slogans! I don't know if Pepsi really was the "choice of a new generation" in the 80s or if people are really "Thinking Arby's" right now. I seriously doubt that I have "got to put Mercury on my list." Fox has some slogan they just made up and CNN has some bogus slogan about being the "most trusted" that doesn't even make sense because if they were really the most trusted they'd also be the highest rated (which they aren't). They're all allowed to have whatever slogan they want. It's advertising! No one cares!
  19. Definitely OJ. He killed two people. Michael Jackson is so screwed up that I could envision him not molesting the kids he keeps around. Like he wants to be 8 years old so bad that he actually acts like an 8 year old at an 8 year old's slumber party or whatever. If any other man in the world is going out of his way to sleep in bed with random little boys, common sense tells you he's a pedophile. Michael Jackson is so completely screwed up that common sense doesn't even apply.
  20. Not really. CNN is saying "This is trustworthy" and Fox is saying "This is fair." It's the same crap. They are all biased (MSNBC's hosts are probably the furthest gone) but they all say they're the best.
  21. It's not a coincidence that the best Star Wars movie - The Empire Strikes Back - is also the movie that Lucas had the least control over.
  22. They all do that. CNN is "The Most Trusted Name in News". NYT says they're the "Paper of Record" (do they still say that?). I really don't mind if they have slogans. I'd personally be much happier if FOX billed themselves as the "Conservative News Channel" or something. Why not? Everyone already knows they're the opposite of CNN, MSNBC, and all the other big news outlets. On the other hand, I'd prefer something like a conservative news channel to be extremely competent and even-handed, which FOX is not. I'd kill for someone to really start a new channel that went out of its way to present all the information never presented by the other outlets and never get caught up in celebrity BS. And never have BS slap fights the way the CNN and MSNBC boys are constantly attacking FOX (and vice versa).
  23. It really depends. If I'm really into a game I can spend a few hours a day playing it for a couple weeks. But then there are dry spells where I go months without really playing video games (the occasional 15 minute game of NHL 95 on SNES doesn't count).
  24. I didn't even see that before my last post but this is exactly what I was expecting. The big tip-off was right at the start of the audio "THIS is your Patriot Act!" This big !@#$ing !@#$ is gonna rake in the money on this one. Congratulations, America. If you didn't think you were a victim before, it's just because you haven't noticed yet.
