  1. What I don't like is if the game is tied after 9 innings, then starting in the 10th inning each team has a base runner starting at second base before the first batter of that inning comes up. This is stupid just like the NHL shootout in hockey to determine a winner.
  2. https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/lightnin-strikes-singer-lou-christie-dead-at-82/ar-AA1H0piD?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=a34610aa67c148cb973015dd1474cfde&ei=12
  3. Just and FYI the NHL draft is 8 days away. 6/27/25
  4. Back then defenses could play defense. Today's game the rules are geared towards the offense and that is mostly because of player safety. A few years ago, on the Inside the NFL Ray Lewis said he wouldn't be able to play in today's game. He said just about every hit he would make on an offensive player would be flagged for unnecessary roughness. He's probably right about that.
  5. I put the blame mostly on the defense for not doing well in those rounds. If you can't protect a 3-point lead with just 13 seconds left in the game and the other team starting at their own 25 then losing in these rounds year after year is no surprise. Hopefully the moves Beane made this offseason improve the defense so they can finally get to a Super Bowl with a chance to win it.
  6. Pitching has been fine, but the bats have gone ice cold. Just hope they can break out of this slump soon. They need to start winning games again.
  7. Best home record in recent seasons. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/what-team-has-the-best-home-record-in-the-nfl-over-the-past-5-years
  8. While every baseball fan knows there will be peaks and valleys during the course of 162 games. I have to admit I can't remember the last time the Yankees bats went this cold. Five game losing streak and shutout in the last three games. 29 scoreless innings and counting overall. Frustrating times for us Yankees fans.
  9. We know all too well about this with our regular season wins over the Chiefs.
  10. Hopefully the Bills and Cook can reach an agreement. A lot of what the Bills do on offense involves Cook. 2nd best player on offense behind only Allen. If the worst-case scenario comes true and Cook holds out, then the Bills offense will struggle badly.
  11. The hockey fan in me would love to see game 7 but I think the Panthers will Cup tonight.
  12. SI interview with Allen. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/q-a-josh-allen-on-backing-up-mvp-season-tush-push-ban-and-new-business-deal/ar-AA1GSV6o?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=U531&cvid=86d6b94b00694fada88deff1ae504e80&ei=20
  13. The Royals are like the AL's version of the Pirates. Most of the time it seems like they are going through another miserable season. No fanbase in any sport will put up with that year after year. Look at Buffalo as an example. While it has a reputation as a football mad city, it is also a great hockey market. You would never know that looking at the Sabres attendance in recent years. Fans are fed up with Terry running the team into the ground.
  14. 6-0 in the division is tough to do. Those rivalry games are usually close games. Even though the Bills are the best team in the division you can bet our rivals will get fired up for games against the Bills. Even when the Pats were a dynasty, they still had trouble sweeping the division. Games at Miami were their own personal house of horrors many of those years.
  15. 1. 51-3 to send the Bills to their first Super Bowl 2. Blowout win over the Pats in the playoffs a few years ago 3. Roland Hooks hail mary catch to beat the Pats in the final seconds. 4. 17-7 ending the Dolphins 20 game winning streak against the Bills 5. The Comeback against the Oilers This is just to name a few. I could think of many more.
  16. Along with someone like 78 on the defensive side of the ball.
  17. With the way they support the Chiefs I figured hockey might do well there. It seems like a good sports town. It's definitely a great sports town when it comes to football.
  18. It will change for Josh when the defense finally shows up in a big spot in the playoffs. Those Bills teams Kelly was on had a game changer on defense with #78. This Bills defense has nobody that is remotely close to being as dominant as #78 was.
  19. I honestly don't know why the league would give Atlanta a 3rd shot. Houston and KC (IMHO) should be next in line if the league wants expansion.
  20. Chiefs have a better HC who has a great offensive mind, a better defense, and a better DC. This is not to say Mahomes isn't important to the Chiefs. Obviously, he is but he gets more help than Allen does.
  21. I can only imagine what the final regular season game against the Jets will be like. The Bills will probably make the playoffs and probably have a home game or two but that is not guaranteed
  22. I remember Joe Ferguson had a great game at Miami in 1983. The Bills won 38-35 in OT, and it was their first win in the Orange Bowl since 1966.
  23. Didn't Brady get hurt in week 1 one year and was lost for the season and Belichick still managed to get 10 or 11 wins out of the Pats. I think Cassell was his QB that year. I believe they also missed the playoffs as well. As for the Bills playing without 17, I don't even want to think about it.
