With the Orioles loss last night, the Yankees are back in first place. Granted it's only a half game lead but still nice to be in first. Should be a hell of a race in the AL East between the Yanks and Orioles.
She should have picked Shapiro as he probably gives her PA. This isn't a good pick for the Dems. He is too far left. I think this will be a close race and I do think Trump will win it. We will see this November.
The White Sox are currently on a 21-game losing streak. They have a 27-88 record. The ML record for most consecutive losses is held by the 1889 Louisville Colonels who lost 26 in a row and finished their season 27-111. The NL record for most losses is held by the 1961 Phillies with 23 straight losses. The last team to lose 21 in a row was the 1988 Orioles.
With a lot of new faces in the WR group. I think Allen should play and get some playing time with this group. Just don't have Allen run and if anyone gets close to him then he has to throw it away. Getting reps in practice helps but it's not the same as playing in a game against another team. Remember how rusty Allen looked against the Jets last year. I don't want the same thing to happen against the Cardinals.
Same here. I would like to see them get some game action as well. In the case of Allen, he needs to be told not to run and if anyone gets close to him just throw it away. Winning these games isn't a priority.
I don't think Tomlin has had a losing season since he has been there. Their defense is really good so I would expect the Steelers to be a competitive team.
$$$. You know how the NFL operates. Coaches also want to get a look at players who may be trying to win jobs. To see how they perform in game situations is important. Obviously, Allen doesn't have to play as we know he is the starter. But for players trying to make the team these games do matter.
Especially with Allen throwing to a lot of new WR's. I get it if people say they don't want the starters to play. Injuries suck especially to lose someone in a meaningless game. But I wouldn't mind them getting some reps in the game. Like you said they risk coming out flat at the start of the season.
I know normally they wouldn't see any action especially in the first preseason game. But with so many new faces maybe getting a series or two wouldn't hurt. Getting reps in practice is great but there is no substitute for playing in a real game against another team.
