If football season only went from Sept to Oct, he would be worth it.

Dan Marino lists top QBs of all time; Kelly makes list
Gregg replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
When you look at the Bills history with QB's there are only 4 worth mentioning. Kemp - from the 60's. Two AFL championships. Ferguson - from the 70's into the 80's. He had a decent career with the Bills. Kelly - from the 80's into the 90's. He got the entire region interested in the Bills again. I remember the "Kelly is God" sign at the 86-opener vs the Jets. Allen - from 2018 to the present. Definitely the most talented and athletic QB the Bills have had. Hopefully he can bring a championship to WNY. -

Unless he played a playoff game when he was with the Houston Gamblers. I would have to look it up as I can't recall if he did or not. -

The rivalry with the Dolphins cooled after the Kelly-Marino years with the Bills going into their 17-year playoff less streak. Also, the Dolphins weren't all that great either and then the Pats were dominating the division. But now I would say the rivalry is heating up again. Both teams are good as they met in the 2022 playoffs and battled for the division last year on the final Sunday of the regular season. -

He did it in an era when defenses could actually play defense unlike today where the rules favor the offense. -
Are we looking at it all wrong, esp. With Josh Allen?
Gregg replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have enjoyed watching the Bills with Josh during the regular season. They have done a lot of winning as the 4 AFCE titles are proof of that. But the playoff losses are frustrating and if they don't win it all with Josh at least once it would be disappointing. -

Same could be said during the OJ era. I know he is viewed as a POS now, but he was/is considered one of the greatest RBs in the NFL history. But if you ask any Bills fan who was around during the 70's they will tell you that decade mostly sucked with Bills football. -
Not much of a fight. Just a couple of idiots embarrassing themselves at the Rangers-Devils game last night. Eric Morey on X: "Devils VS Rangers game is getting CHIPPY @CoachChippy Fight in stands turns into melee @NYRangers @NJDevils @OhRyanMead https://t.co/7OvQvdVPbf" / X (twitter.com)

Disagree on the bold. For championship starved Buffalo getting one Super Bowl win would set off of an epic celebration. We all want the Bills to win more than one but if they only win one, it will still satisfy the fanbase as we got to experience a championship season. -

My Mt. Rushmore of QB's would be Brady, Montana, Manning, Elway. Honorable mention to Marino. I am not including players who are still playing just retired players. When Mahomes is done he will be on it. -

I would also add Beane into the mix as well. Another weapon or two at WR will also help the Bills achieve their goal.

Second rule: when playing the Bills the Jets, Pats, Dolphins must be play blindfolded and in handcuffs.

Cover 1's Top Free Agent Fits for the Bills
Gregg replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
With Hyde not coming back I think they will keep Poyer for this year. I agree that they need to draft a S as the team needs to get younger in the secondary. Have to figure Tre will either be cut or have to take a pay cut. I can't see him being a factor this year anyway coming off a 2nd major injury. -
McDermott will be back in 2024 like it or not. However, I do think Terry will make a coaching change and maybe even clean house with the Buffalo team that plays on the ice. As far as Beane and McDermott go they are safe.

What is your level of patience on not advancing to the Super Bowl?
Gregg replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott is a good regular season coach. Nobody would argue that. After 7 years and a few playoff disappointments it is fair to question if he can get the Bills over the hump. Don't forget the Eagles moved on from Reid and he took them to multiple NFCCG. Even with Mahomes 13 seconds should never happen. That is on coaching. KC starting at their own 25 with 13 seconds and they still manage to get the FG. Pathetic. -

There are no guarantees but Bill's record when he has had an elite level QB speaks for itself. -

I would take Bill as the HC. Knows how to win the big games. Not only a better HC than Sean but DC as well. -
