  1. These Cover 1 kids give me way more insight than any Bills beat reporter. Interesting that they like Mitchell and Legette a lot. They acknowledge Mitchell's apparently lazy route running as "vibing" on routes. His interview with the Bills should be interesting. But why do I feel like they are addicted to Dungeons and Dragons? Never saw this new guy before but he looks it too.
  2. I'd take the DE or WR who has a better chance of being blue-chip. We have very few of those players and need more. But if Beane decides the DE has a brighter future and can be elite, not just 8-10 sacks, but elite, take him. But make damn sure you get a good receiver soon after.
  3. I hear you. But I think many smart people think Mitchell will be a number 1 guy and he should be available close to where we pick. We'll see soon enough. If we got this DE, I wouldn't hate it — if we get a speed merchant later who's a bona fide number 2.
  4. Don't mind some of his wokr (OUATIH was great) but never saw Deathproof... It looks like a Quentin kind of word.
  5. Spotrac says the Bears pick up his 4 million per year deal for 2 years.
  6. Thanks, guys. So Marquise Brown is 2 inches shorter and the same weight and Jordan Addison is the same height and 8 lb heavier. Not a huge history of precedents at this size... And I would argue that 8 lb makes a difference. If it doesn't subtract it from 165 and see if that doesn't scare the hell out of you. I think this kid could make a lot of big plays but I'd be willing to bet a couple good hits from some NFL safeties might take him out for a while...
  7. Are there any examples of very successful WRs who are Worthy's height and weight — 165 lb at over 5'11"? I though he was 178 but that 165 number is not sitting well with me...
  8. well, most of us want a WR but I wouldn't hate getting a guy with 23.3 sacks in the last 2 years and a player some call the most polished edge rusher in the draft. Now, if we did that, I would expect a trade up, again, for a guy like Legette or someone comparable... We'd lose a lot of draft capital in 2 trade-ups... but is getting the best pass rusher and an explosive receiver worth it? I've seen worse drafts.
  9. USA Today reporting it is. Unreal.
  10. Franchise tag can't be cheap. Projected at $20 million. That should limit their spending rather than extending his deal ala the Bills and making some FA splashes...
  11. Yes, it's kinda cold at face value — but he got $20 million guaranteed from his last contract. If that's cold it beats the hell out of the heat I gotta live with.
  12. [In my best Chris Rock voice] "Ok, I'll say it, I'll say it! Ann-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-ny rookie wide receiver we take in the first or second round will be better than GABE *****-IN' DA-VIS. That's right I said it. Gabe is a good guy, I will give you that, and he's made a few highlight plays, I'll give you that, but why do we have to pay him like a star? Is it his birthday or something?"
  13. Excellent. This should take MIami back a couple notches in what they can spend on the rest of the team. I don't fear them anymore. Tyreek is 30 and can't be the same player for much longer.
  14. First, I like any man whose name rhymes with "shindig." Second, I have no idea what "chartreuse" is.
  15. I don't dispute that. But there's a thread for that. This thread is about a very particular theory that is now officially debunked.
  16. He's under contract this 2024 season. Unless a restructure is 100% needed, there's no need for contract talks.
  17. I wouldn't be against it. He turns 30 in late August so next year he would be 31. I wouldn't go beyond that. The only reason for letting him go (and after investing a 3rd round pick) I can think of is a macro D philosophy shift to more man and Douglas doesn't match up well there. In that case, why not try and trade him for a 4th or 5th? He played as well as you could have hoped for last season for the Bills.
  18. Harty's deal was 9.5 million but for two years. Floyd's was up to $9 million for one year, based on incentives. Vastly different deals.
  19. People are talking about cutting Douglas? Really? The guy was a turnover machine for us. And he's our most experienced CB. Who do you we sign and for how much after cutting Douglas? I'm not saying keep him for 4 more years, but he's under contract for this year and was our best CB last year.
  20. Too bad for him, honestly, but the team has to look out for the team. I remember a theory floated here that Beane had some agreement with Hines after some restructure or something so that the Bills wouldn't cut him. Do I remember correctly? $5 million for a back-up RB is insane. Beane did what he had to do.
  21. I don't know enough about college prospects but if the brass loves a guy way more than the other options left, say Brian Thomas as an example, I'm good with giving up a fourth and maybe a third to get him. We should have an extra third because of Edmunds, right?
