  1. Agree. When you lose each year against the same team, it's not close at all, even if each games are close. In a 4of7 like some others sports, it's a sweep.
  2. Allen and our offense would destroy this bend but dont break. A walk in the park. Everbody know our defensive scheme, even my old neighboors and their little dog. Allen and the offense found a way to put 29 points on the board against that defense in their stadium even if Spagh really did his job and our offense was absolutely not ready for what they saw from that defense. 29 points in this circumstances, it's more than we can hope. We felt like it isnt enough, it wasnt perfect...only because our defensive scheme need the offense to be perfect to win those games. No QB in this league could be perfect in those circumstances. I'm sure Mahomes and his offense would also have a lot a troubles. Then, against our bend but dont break? It's a no contest.
  3. And he found a way to put 29 points against a real good defense in their stadium even of Chiefs staff on defense totally won the check game with their gameplan. It wasnt pefect, but it will never be perfect for any QB when you are outcoach like that. 29 points in those circumstances, it's something. I really think some fans really begin to take his play for grant.
  4. Agree...and i hope so..but i begin to think they dont care at all. Those calls or non-calls just totally change the outcome of a game. I hope we gonna see a real football game. Simply. Right on. It's insane. It has to be adjust.
  5. Hope you're right, man. I hope he's changes at this point. We'll have our answers in a couple of weeks. Be sure i will be the first one to say i were wrong. Have fun.
  6. I watched Bills games since the end of the 80's and he is a conservative HC. No doupt about it and it is so obvious...Your answer make me feel like i am in a cult. Then, i have absolutely nothing against him and i'm not in the board of Fire Mcdermott. Not at this point with what he accomplished. I think he is the first one to want to improve and yes, i saw some gutsy agressive calls this year. More than the others years. And, because he is conservative, he needed more guts than some coachs to make those calls. He did it and i credit him. But, let be serious: we can be a huge fan and being outside of a cult and in the real world: As a fan, i hope we gonna win it all with Mcdermott.but this team under Allen could win a lot of games also with a lot of NFL coachs. At the end, we will win or lose by our offense. Going on a 4 and short is a no brainer with our offense but i give credits to Mcdermott: He learns to make that calls and, hopefully, he could let our offense win the game even in a big game. I hope it's the way we will play in playoffs and our defense will help when this offense will need it.
  7. You got it. They won the games they had to win against teams with losing record. The Bills are 3-3 against teams with a winning record. It's a great season in terms of Win-Lose...and now, they have to beat those winning teams 3 times in a row only to be in the Big show and 4 games in a row to win it. Having a 14 or 15 wins in a season is absolutely great. But, a 1-1 or even 2-1 in playoffs isnt enough with the QB and the offense we have. It's all about expectations. With a QB like Allen, we never know. Our conservative HC will have to not try to slow down our offense to help our defense. If our offense can score at will against those kind of teams, let them score. If we have to win, it will be by our offense. Let them score. Fast or not, let them score like they want to. I dont want to lose because our offense has to slow down because the defense needs help. I want to see them playing to win. I dont trust that bend but dont break at all against a good QB, a good offense and i just hope they could help our offense a little when they will need it. Let see in a couple of weeks. Go Bills.
  8. First, Virgil, you have to know you're one of ma favorite on this board. I dont write a lot of posts (as a french canadian, my english is average at best!), but i read a lot and i almost always read your famous ---in no particular order--. Then, about the Chiefs, i disagre with you. They are absolutely not the Pats of Brady no matter how many SB they won. Most of the teams except the Benglas lost against them , but we had a better team. It's all about identity, coaching. They played to win all those years and we played to not lose. It is obvious. Last year, we had them. We had the ball for a 2 and 9 to go at the 2 minuts warning in their zone. We just blow it like we blow it in this 13 seconds game. In those games, even if those Chiefs with Mahomes are a great well coach team, the Bills had beat the Bills. We should had already beat them in playoff and we clearly can beat them. Like i said, they are not the Pats of Brady no matter the stats. It's all bout the eyes test. We just have to play to win, with no fear, no overthinking and soft defense. It's all about the identity. Others teams should feel fear when they play us. We should'nt. We have a heck of a team again thise year. This year, i feel a change. Even in that lost against the Texans, we played that game to win. It was not pretty at all. Allen threw 3 times far in our zone on the last drive without even taking some time on the clock, but, at the end, Mcdermott let the ball to our QB. A couple of first downs and we talked about how we could be in the FG range for the winning 3 points. They did it in this 4 and 2 against the Chiefs. It was easy to kick the FG and hoping our defense will stop the Chiefs. They go for win. And, in most of the game where we took the lead, we didnt play as soft this year as i saw my Bills under Mcdermott era. It's not that much, but enough to see a change. If we play to win like that in the playoffs, we have a real chance. If not...if we played soft to not lose, we gonna lose THE game again. When i saw my team lose a key game in playoff by playing soft and with fear, it's hard! If we lose by being agressive and trying to win, i can deal with it without any problem as a fan. The identity should be: Bring us those Chiefs. Mcdermott is a real good coach and a great humain being. I cross my fingers. We, Mcdermott-Allen-that team-the Fans, deserve it.
  9. Oliver clearly has to contain-spy all the game. It was not flashing but he did a good job. Then, i dont know if it was a good idea. We totally lost his ability to disturb a play.
  10. You got it, my friend.
  11. Have to wait and see after all this draft, but i say no this morning. The Chiefs called for a trade in this draft? He should say: sorry, you have the wrong number, no matter what. We dont even steal a pick from them. If Beane traded up with a rival in the AFC to pick, let say, a Thomas JR, without even losing a single pick in our draft, we would all say he is a genius and we would all make fun of the other team. I have no doupt about it. At the end, it's his team and he is well paid to built it again around Allen. He does what he wants and i respect that. For all fans and his job, Mahomes-Worthy better dont beat us..but let say Beane has the balls to do what he wants.
  12. I guess you're right. I just begin to understand we'll not go for it with our franchise QB and i'm afraid it's will be the end of his prime at the end of this new process. But, i undestand the point and i can deal with the fact that we try to be competitive. I could say we try to be competitive --only--, but it's not nothing after those 17 years.
  13. Sounds good, but those players were part of the process in the Trust the process. So, the same Staff who bring them in this process will bring some others players and tell us to trust the new process again? I will be there and i will root, but sincerely, i dont know what's this process now. I guess it's a kind of -we'll try to be competitive and who knows if we could be lucky? - and nothing more than that.
  14. Maybe the last one, they also had a chance. They lead the game at the halftime. They were in control. Then, the momemtum totally shifted and it was clear the first 3 lost were in their head.
  15. If it is, we dont know and i'm not sure if we will ever know. Then, with all the money involded there, i would be really naive to say i'm sure it is not rigged. When we can do this kind of math: mans + a lot of money+ bet and Vegas...nothing can really surprise me. At the end, we dont know and there's nothing we can do. The day i would not have fun by watching the NFL, i will simply stop. To say the truth, all those sideshow like this love story between this singer and the player, begins to bother me the most. I so dont watch a football game for those sideshows. But rigged or not? We just cant know.
  16. I respect and we will never know, but that year, our offense was just unstoppable. But, you made a point. I just think our Bills in the playoffs that year was at their peak.
  17. Not like the 13 seconds for me. That game, the drive Allen and the offense made to score at 13 seconds should be part of history. We should give that drive a name like -The Drive- of Elway, or something like that. Beating that Chiefs team in their stadium like that was just awsome. Losing a game when you take the lead with 13 seconds left is almost once in a lifetiime. It happen to us. When we lost this year, it was like: i knew. I root, i hope during the game, but i had the worst feeling after the game: i knew, i was not surprise. To say the truth, i am still impress by Allen and the offense. They were on the field for almost 40 minuts against that defense! We blew it, in a situationnel football moment again. After the two minuts warning, it wasnt the same offense suddenly. Then, two teams (bengles-chiefs) scored at will in our stadium in the playoff. Thanks for the breaks we had and our offense always on the fieild for that game. It could be worst than that. At the end, the best team win. Those Chiefs are hard to play because they never lose a game by themself. Most of the team, like the Bills, have their moment where they seems lost in a situationnel football moment. Not the Chiefs, not that often. I guess it is all about their Elite coaching staff. We're not that far. It could happen with Mcbeanne with some lucks, some breaks. Beane never hide what he wants: being competitive each year and, after that, we never know. I would like to see him say: i'm gonna do whatever i can to give Allen and this team all they need for a SB. I know it will not happen, but i know we'll be competitve.
  18. You gonna pay way too much. It was his value the year of his pro bowl.
  19. Agree with you. For me, the NFL walk now on a fine line. I just talk about me and i dont want to convince anybody. Since some years, i didnt listen at all the pre-game show and all the NFL show. I didnt give a *** when they do politics. I dont watch commercial, more and more politic also. I'm only a football fan and i found a lot of good football events on the net, like Cover1, and i really think it is better because they only talk about football there and, even if i should not say that i have to say if i watch the NFL, it is only for the game. I love football. I can deal with the show because when we heard the whitle, it is football. But, this year, NFL entertainment made a step on the other side of the line. I just cant skip that because it is now during the game. It is the first time this year i see it at this point during a game. The SB show will have a big part about a love story and i dont care at all about it. Then, i have to be interested with the matchup. I watched Chiefs-Ravens because i really want to see if that Chiefs defense could stop Jackson. I was pretty sure about it, but i was interested and i watched the game...but i'm not for this Chiefs-49ers. Not enough to deal with the -show-.
  20. Something's wrong with our team when it counts the most and, when i watched a game, i always say -at least, we have Allen in our team-. We are still where we are a couple of years ago: All on Allen Shoulders. It is at a point where we begin to not really see it, We begin to take it for grant. We almost forgot we could not even be near where we are without him. It will never be enough because if he's not perfect, we lose. Credits to the Chiefs defense, but they were tired and and a well coach team scored there, i'm pretty sure. Bills fan base are the more loyal fans in pro sport. It's like we want to win, but we want to win by being loyal. That's why a lot of fans around NFL planet would say we deserve it the most. It is time to cut ties with our coaching staff. I'm sure about that. Then, if i'm a Bills fan and i dont even live near Buffalo, it's because of your passion, your loyalty. Winning by being loyal at this point is much harder then winning by seing it like a business. Much harder road. It's pretty clear. Then, the Bills are not only a business in Buffalo. It's part of your town and you're loyals. I will be there, i will back Mcdermott for sure no matter what i think. If the Bills could find a way to win one one day, it would be the best SB ever with that kind of fan base.
  21. That year, if we meet the Giants 10 times, we would beat them 7 or 8 times. We lost. The year after, the Redskins just totally destroyed us in the trenches. They could beat us 7 or 8 times on 10. We still lost. We lead the Cowboys at the halftime on the last SB. At this point, we could win that kind of game with a lead at the halftime 7 or 8 times on 10. We still lost. Recently, we just beat the Chiefs. When you scored a TD with 13 seconds left, you win that game 99 tiimes on 100. We still lost. I hope, one day, the Gods of football will stop playing with us!
  22. I dont know if it hurts a lot more, but it's not a good feeling to see a team in the water of underachivement at this point. So, we have to be honest: since the beginning, Mcbeane always talk about -being competitive-. Always. This year in their press conference, it was all about -being competitve-. Nothing less than that, but nothing more. Then, i feel like they achieve their goal. We should be competitive again. With that kind of team, with that QB, i dont think it should be the goal. To say the truth, if you're not competitive with that kind of QB, you're not good at all in your job. It's not good enough. Underachievement is always a bad feeling. It seems their goal is still only? being competitive again. Nothing less, but nothing more, like i said.
  23. I understand, and maybe i'm an alien, but i dont give a *** to the NFL narrative those days. It's now a kind of realty show. Most of the fan on a board like here are far better than a lot of so call experts and their narrative. It's click bait now clearly and it's nothing to do about the game. When someone wants to tell me how i have to think, they totallly lose me. When someone wants to tell me what i see it's now what i see, they lose me. I guess it is what it is now, but i really dont understand they hype with that narrative. It has to work because it keep going. I'm old i guess! For me, and i dont want to talk for others, total respect for what everyone like, i feel like the NFL walk now on a fine line. Sometime it's really just idiot like watching a movie...or a realty show like i said. But, i understand it's now a big show, NFL entertaintment. I can deal with it because when the game start, it is football. Then, i will watch the game. Chiefs defense should know how to stop Jackson and i want to see if they will. NFL show could say whatever they want after the game. They dont talk to me at all.
  24. I agree with you on that one. I think some fans begin to take what Allen brings on the field almost for grant. We need him to be so perfect to win those game...and we seems to absolutely forget what he did. If someone told me a QB can do that on the field, let say 10 years ago, i'm not sure i could believe him. Just last sunday, he was on the field for 37 minuts. Against the Super Bowl champs in playoff, the offense he lead found a way to be our best defense by being on the field for 37 minuts against a real good defense. And we talk about his mistakes... Like every Elite players, he will make mistakes. Asking him to be perfect because we lose if he isnt... say something. And, let say the truth, even if he is near perfect, we find a way to lose, like that 13 seconds. I just take a little step back...and what he brings on the field is absolutly incredible. It's at another level. Asking for more than that from our QB (even if he could be always better)...asking for the impossible...just tell us the problem is elsewhere. Being loyal like you said is fair enough but we cant act like we dont know.
