  1. Even on offense, when they have the lead, they play to not lose.
  2. Again, The Bills will need superman. I cant believe it's still the "gameplan" after all those years of the process.
  3. They are toying with our defense...and they do it in the snow in our stadium It is what it is.
  4. Davis and Cooks could be our two best WR and they found them during the season. The bills have future HOF at QB. it's a mind blowing. If anyone can explain the GM's tought process in the offeason, please tell me. I just cant understand.
  5. 50-50 for me. Not more than that the way they played since day 1. 50 IN because of Josh Allen. 50 OUT because of this defensive sheme and the way Beane seems to badly wants to keep his picks. He saw the sames games...and he still didnt pay or overpay for a WR1 at the trade deadline. At this point, i dont know what to say. He is a genius i guess. So, 50-50 and this game at Pittsburgh will tell us a lot about those chances.
  6. From what i saw, i'm not even sure we gonna be a wild card. We should with this 7-3, but i feel like it's not a gimme this year the way we play. We played our games this year to flip the coin in the 4th quarter and it could turn on the worst side for a couple of games in a row. So, it will be a -next game- first for me before thinking about a playoff game. Let see which kind of Bills will play against the Texans.
  7. After all those years, it's the same movie on defense. This defensive scheme is a pure product of our HC and it is nothing more than what we saw year after year. At this point, they should put all the money on offense. No matter which players will be on the field on defense, it will be about the same result. We saw it in a game in playoff against the Chiefs (when Bass missed in FG). WIth all the injuries, the defense played the same game. It's clearly a scheme problem. They will make a play here and there and will need superman as a QB on offense, no matter how much money you put there.
  8. I really dont know for a Super Bowl. Anything can happen, but those Bucs put 32 on the board in our stadium on a windy day without their best receivers. So, yesterday, we saw Superman and we take the win. And it's huge. The race for a wild card spot is closer than we think. That game in Pittsburgh in a couple of weeks will be a huge one. So, Super Bowl? if we say we never know, i can be agree with that kind of statement. Nothing more.
  9. Allen has an average game at best. Then, he has 6 TD. I really think we will all cry the day we'll have only a game manager as a QB. Some fans really took his level of play for grant.
  10. You're not alone. Same feelings here. Our QB is a future HOF, we pay him for what he is: a franchise QB. Then, we build the team for a game manager at best. It's too much for me. I still watch and root for them, but not surprise at all and with less passion.
  11. Heavy formation
  12. This year, we're at the peak of this offensive philosophy. Even if we want to do something else, there's no weapon to do it on offense. Just the fact that we still talk about a WR1 tell us everything. We have to deal with it, but i still scratch my head. Another philosophy would be bringing as a priority every weapons this QB needs on offense, and more if it's possible... An offense with that QB should play at a face past. You can run the ball the number of times you want in a fast pace! In fact, we ask Allen to be a game manager like a lot of QB in this league...and when something goes wrong, we suddenly ask him to play like superman, without the weapons. There's no way that man doesnt see it. If i play against the Bills, i have to find a way to slow down their offense but..they do it themself for me. Complimentary football are some magics words so say -playing first to not loose- or -trust the process-. This defense is a pure product of our HC and it seems that everything is set for helping this defensive scheme, even our offensive philosophy. This team is build like that. We have to deal with it, like i said. We're a good team and i will hope for the best...It's not like i can do anything else!
  13. Right on. We can compare each position, but at the end, Allen is the X factor. There's no math with the way he plays. Sometimes, i even take it for grant.
  14. Agree. When you lose each year against the same team, it's not close at all, even if each games are close. In a 4of7 like some others sports, it's a sweep.
  15. Allen and our offense would destroy this bend but dont break. A walk in the park. Everbody know our defensive scheme, even my old neighboors and their little dog. Allen and the offense found a way to put 29 points on the board against that defense in their stadium even if Spagh really did his job and our offense was absolutely not ready for what they saw from that defense. 29 points in this circumstances, it's more than we can hope. We felt like it isnt enough, it wasnt perfect...only because our defensive scheme need the offense to be perfect to win those games. No QB in this league could be perfect in those circumstances. I'm sure Mahomes and his offense would also have a lot a troubles. Then, against our bend but dont break? It's a no contest.
  16. And he found a way to put 29 points against a real good defense in their stadium even of Chiefs staff on defense totally won the check game with their gameplan. It wasnt pefect, but it will never be perfect for any QB when you are outcoach like that. 29 points in those circumstances, it's something. I really think some fans really begin to take his play for grant.
  17. Agree...and i hope so..but i begin to think they dont care at all. Those calls or non-calls just totally change the outcome of a game. I hope we gonna see a real football game. Simply. Right on. It's insane. It has to be adjust.
  18. Hope you're right, man. I hope he's changes at this point. We'll have our answers in a couple of weeks. Be sure i will be the first one to say i were wrong. Have fun.
  19. I watched Bills games since the end of the 80's and he is a conservative HC. No doupt about it and it is so obvious...Your answer make me feel like i am in a cult. Then, i have absolutely nothing against him and i'm not in the board of Fire Mcdermott. Not at this point with what he accomplished. I think he is the first one to want to improve and yes, i saw some gutsy agressive calls this year. More than the others years. And, because he is conservative, he needed more guts than some coachs to make those calls. He did it and i credit him. But, let be serious: we can be a huge fan and being outside of a cult and in the real world: As a fan, i hope we gonna win it all with Mcdermott.but this team under Allen could win a lot of games also with a lot of NFL coachs. At the end, we will win or lose by our offense. Going on a 4 and short is a no brainer with our offense but i give credits to Mcdermott: He learns to make that calls and, hopefully, he could let our offense win the game even in a big game. I hope it's the way we will play in playoffs and our defense will help when this offense will need it.
  20. You got it. They won the games they had to win against teams with losing record. The Bills are 3-3 against teams with a winning record. It's a great season in terms of Win-Lose...and now, they have to beat those winning teams 3 times in a row only to be in the Big show and 4 games in a row to win it. Having a 14 or 15 wins in a season is absolutely great. But, a 1-1 or even 2-1 in playoffs isnt enough with the QB and the offense we have. It's all about expectations. With a QB like Allen, we never know. Our conservative HC will have to not try to slow down our offense to help our defense. If our offense can score at will against those kind of teams, let them score. If we have to win, it will be by our offense. Let them score. Fast or not, let them score like they want to. I dont want to lose because our offense has to slow down because the defense needs help. I want to see them playing to win. I dont trust that bend but dont break at all against a good QB, a good offense and i just hope they could help our offense a little when they will need it. Let see in a couple of weeks. Go Bills.
  21. First, Virgil, you have to know you're one of ma favorite on this board. I dont write a lot of posts (as a french canadian, my english is average at best!), but i read a lot and i almost always read your famous ---in no particular order--. Then, about the Chiefs, i disagre with you. They are absolutely not the Pats of Brady no matter how many SB they won. Most of the teams except the Benglas lost against them , but we had a better team. It's all about identity, coaching. They played to win all those years and we played to not lose. It is obvious. Last year, we had them. We had the ball for a 2 and 9 to go at the 2 minuts warning in their zone. We just blow it like we blow it in this 13 seconds game. In those games, even if those Chiefs with Mahomes are a great well coach team, the Bills had beat the Bills. We should had already beat them in playoff and we clearly can beat them. Like i said, they are not the Pats of Brady no matter the stats. It's all bout the eyes test. We just have to play to win, with no fear, no overthinking and soft defense. It's all about the identity. Others teams should feel fear when they play us. We should'nt. We have a heck of a team again thise year. This year, i feel a change. Even in that lost against the Texans, we played that game to win. It was not pretty at all. Allen threw 3 times far in our zone on the last drive without even taking some time on the clock, but, at the end, Mcdermott let the ball to our QB. A couple of first downs and we talked about how we could be in the FG range for the winning 3 points. They did it in this 4 and 2 against the Chiefs. It was easy to kick the FG and hoping our defense will stop the Chiefs. They go for win. And, in most of the game where we took the lead, we didnt play as soft this year as i saw my Bills under Mcdermott era. It's not that much, but enough to see a change. If we play to win like that in the playoffs, we have a real chance. If not...if we played soft to not lose, we gonna lose THE game again. When i saw my team lose a key game in playoff by playing soft and with fear, it's hard! If we lose by being agressive and trying to win, i can deal with it without any problem as a fan. The identity should be: Bring us those Chiefs. Mcdermott is a real good coach and a great humain being. I cross my fingers. We, Mcdermott-Allen-that team-the Fans, deserve it.
  22. Oliver clearly has to contain-spy all the game. It was not flashing but he did a good job. Then, i dont know if it was a good idea. We totally lost his ability to disturb a play.
  23. You got it, my friend.
  24. Have to wait and see after all this draft, but i say no this morning. The Chiefs called for a trade in this draft? He should say: sorry, you have the wrong number, no matter what. We dont even steal a pick from them. If Beane traded up with a rival in the AFC to pick, let say, a Thomas JR, without even losing a single pick in our draft, we would all say he is a genius and we would all make fun of the other team. I have no doupt about it. At the end, it's his team and he is well paid to built it again around Allen. He does what he wants and i respect that. For all fans and his job, Mahomes-Worthy better dont beat us..but let say Beane has the balls to do what he wants.
