Shavers and Claypool over MVS -
MVS is too easy a target, I'm looking at the bottom end of the D-lines for my surprises and Dark Horses. Javon Solomon, as a 5thrd pick, shouldn't be such a DH, but there is a crowded field in front of him. Saw him on day 1, his arms are comic-book huge, and he has good low bend around the edge. I expect him to push Smoot for playing time, ceiling is Max Crosby. Surprise cut is DeShawn Williams. Team might need to keep 6 DE, just because of talent. Also, Sean will try to stash Gable on the PS to ready him as a 5th DT, so maybe we don't need a full-time 5th DT

Travis Clayton is less a reach to make the team than you think. His status allows us to carry him as a 54th roster spot. So, now the question becomes, will we ever activate him? I too envision him in the David Edwards 6th lineman/giant TE role from last year. Could be exciting. Step 1, keep Steve Buchele from getting killed in pre-season!

First quarter and/or third quarter stats. They are almost always tilted toward one team, if that team got the ball first, scored, and got the ball back. those quarters are often two possessions to one, and the discrete confines of the 15 minute period is utterly arbitrary, since the half continues with another 15 minute period.

Beane adding a QB to the Practice Squad most likely tomorrow

Looks like he just got lost in the shuffle. Was hurt last year so couldn't show anything, is too young and inexperienced to be any good to Young as a backup. I'm all for it. -
Three elevations from the PS for free, then have to add to roster. Time for a cram-session on play calling. May he be a better option than A. J. Klein, perhaps Dodson, but still holding out hope for Bernard to get it together. Then Williams next year?

On game days only one will be active, so we likely will have one swing T

I am sure of what Gabe does better than Sherfield, and most other WR's: score TD's

Elam now CB4 and playing kickoff coverage in the preseason
HiMark replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
No need for that. Besides, lots of smart, athletic players have washed out. I like Cook, but Dylan Parham was my choice at 3, and he went next pick to LVR, locked in at LG. Not sure he's good, though, that would mean watching a Raiders game. -

This time last year there were posters with the opinion to let him go b/c Spector looked so natural, instinctive, at MLB. That definitely happened on this board. Last year we went replacement-level at cornerback. This year we are doing it at MLB. It will show, but we will survive through an abundance of surrounding talent. -

Just because he's not Kyle Williams, doesn't make him John McCargo. His day may yet come, and you need depth at that position. -
Thanks for the clip. Some nice Ray Ray highlights. Now that McKenzie is gone, do you think we made the right choice? I do, but best to McCloud They may have fixed that with the Harbig draft pick Please, Mr. Miyagi, not before 5th

But to be fair, that was partly our fault. For beating them.

Van Demark, a "Model" Fit for the Bills OL?

Don't lump Bates in there, he is legit, will be 6th man this year. -
Tyson Bagent of the Bears is the guy I want. In a camp fight with PJ Walker and that Nate Peterman
-
Right, it was meant as a joke about Buffalo QB's needing to play in rough weather. I was at that game, he put up a hell of a fight, stats nonwithstanding. I should also say I don't really want Jake Fromm. But he could get cut. Also, Do you think Kyle Allen is a better option than Skylar? I am undecided.
-
Okay, read 'em and weep: one fan's assessment of kinda likely soon to be cut qb's that could be an improvement Matt Corral-Carolina, never got a chance Tyson Bagent- R- CHI,, DII Shepherd College, 4,000+ yards and 40+ td's, and lighting it up in camp Jake Browning-CIN, battling Trevor Seimien, might keep 3 Dorian Thompson Robinson-R-CLE; solid in pre-season start Skylar Thompson-MIA; they kept 3 last year, but he can play in Buffalo in the Winter! Sam Darnold-SF; Bonus points for being a buddy of Josh? And last and least...Jake Fromm!
-
Funny, I was lying awake thinking about this last night, and I also concluded that we could cut both Dodson and Spector. I kept Lewis ahead of Isabella for ST value, and did the gymkata to keep Shaq. So yeah, nicely done! Now, to look at every other teams' #2 & #3 QB...

Okay, so a lot of the Mafia was down on Edmunds, not enough splash plays, blah...and a lot of other of the Mafia were pretty glad to have his talent, speed, size, length, 5PD's in one game last year i think, etc. And he got paid more than we wanted to match, so he's gone. So now, we are going to be less effective from that position, because we went from a top 5 guy to NOT a top 5 guy. But the rest of this D is so solid, that we will be able to prop-up a mediocre, replacement level signal caller in the middle. Just remember the context if whoever plays is good, meh, bad, or even 'splashy.' In order; Dodson, because he has done it before, and has earned it by holding off challengers; Bernard, because they value his speed, and hopefully he gets well; Klein, because performance is important (but I still don't think he makes the 53); Spector, because he can evidently do it, but perhaps at a purely replacement level; and Williams, who can afford to learn from the bench for quite a while, but could still end up the guy this year. ALL of them have durability issues compared to Edmunds (cept maybe Klein) so we may see plenty of them. I also think no way we bring someone else in, because of the signal calling aspect of the position. Beane might be on to something with this rookie TE.
