  1. In reality that "challenge" was a very smart decision at the time. It wasn't really taken to challenge the play but to have a timeout that's normally a bit longer than just the basic 30 second timeout. And that's EXACTLY why McDermott threw that little red flag when he did. That was a smart move by a good coach if you ask me!
  2. The copay is totally dependent on your insurance carrier but the prices on ANY respiratory related drugs are ridiculously high. The insurance carrier I use informed me last year that they would no longer provide payment for the inhaler I was using originally (Tudorza) because the cost was too far out of the acceptable price range for that tier of drug so my pulminologist switched me to a different one (Trelegy) that they do cover. Of course the COPD issues I have will never go away but so far it doesn't seem to have gotten any worse over the past year since the prescription change. Getting old sucks! I recently celebrated b-day number 72 and thank God my wife only put one candle on the freakin cake to blow out :)
  3. Quote from the Banged Up Bills twit above... "Amari Cooper’s hard cast on R wrist. Blocked & fell on wrist in 1Q vs SEA." Assuming that "R" in there pertains to which side of his body... either I need a few more cups of coffee or according to that pic it should state the cast is on his LEFT wrist?
  4. Comedians in their own minds... love 'em or hate 'em? I was thinking I should start a thread like that but I figured I'd leave that to you certified wannabe comedians.
  5. I used to think that too... until I developed COPD about 10 years ago myself that has progressively gotten worse. There are numerous forms of COPD and I'm not about to get into a health discussion here but there are times I can walk a half mile with no problem at all and other times I can't make it from one end of the house to the other without stopping to catch my breath. Like everything else in my life my case is backwards. I don't have any problem getting air IN... my problem is getting it to come back OUT. I know... that sounds really stupid and hard to believe. That's what I kept telling the doctors when it first started and it just came out of nowhere.
  6. You don't need "tags" for your car. You need to go to your local town, city or village office and get a form to fill out that your doctor signs to get a handicapped parking permit. In case any of you are unaware.. the red ones you see hanging from mirrors are temporary permits and the blue ones are permanents.
  7. I need to buy a couple of these before they all get removed from circulation. These should be worth a bundle some day!
  8. Anybody that doesn't have an ad blocker in their web browser nowadays deserves to suffer with those things. I can't even remember the last time I saw one so I clicked on the link purposely just to see what they look like. I got nada as far as any advertisements what-so-ever including pop-ups or their evil twins the pop-unders! Every once in a while I'll get refused access to a site unless I disable my ad blocker. Yeah... right Bozo! Your site is exactly why I have an ad blocker!
  9. Playboy was my go-to wish book for a while... my older brother used to keep one stashed under his mattress. All those years and Santa never pulled through!
  10. I had no idea she was that old... I thought she was around my age in her early 70's. I always had a soft spot for those "ditzy blonde" acts and her & Goldie were my two all-time favorites by a long shot!
  11. Can I get a big AMEN to the bolded?
  12. The YouTube link worked... thanks! This bozo makes me almost feel ashamed to say that I'm 72 years old too... but at least my elevator still goes all the way up to the top floor as opposed to whatever floor his gave out at :)
  13. Have you got a link that you could provide to this extended version by any chance?
  14. So... did a mathematical equation bring you to that determination?
  15. Reminds me of when my youngest kid got his first apartment and called one day asking me if we still had that spare "universal" TV remote hanging out somewhere because after tearing the whole apartment apart he couldn't find his remote. He seriously had no idea there are buttons right on the TV to change the channels and adjust the volume. A couple days later he called me back to let me know it had fallen into his girlfriend's purse.
  16. I hope he does play Monday. With the stats he's putting up (according to that sheet) whoever he's covering would be a great target for Josh!
  17. And is that Ronald Darby's name I see down there? This guy is still playing professional football?
  18. It's an Instagram link... what does an Instagram link have to do with Facebook? Another question for you... what does changing IP addresses have to do with access to any websites? A family member is forced to use a dial-up connection due to no other internet access being available where he lives and his IP address changes every time he logs in... and over the past 5 years that he's been using this dial-up connection he's never had a problem accessing ANY website.
  19. Interesting thought... I didn't know such a thing even existed. I'll have to look into that if my temporary "fix" doesn't pan out. I decided to put plastic bags over the mirrors early yesterday morning and old brain dead birdie didn't bother trying to perch on them but it was very cloudy and raining off & on all day and I didn't see hardly any birds flying around. The plastic bags over the mirrors should keep birdie from perching there but it's gonna be a PITA taking them off & putting them back on every time I need to use the truck. On the bright side though being retired now I don't drive the truck very much anymore so maybe after a week or two with the bags on there birdie might move on to greener pastures?
  20. You obviously have a reading comprehension issue since you're continually suggesting that I should cover my mirrors... and it's beyond just obvious that you didn't bother reading my original post again... so let's try the question & answer game instead! How is covering the mirrors going to stop the bird from seeing itself in the door glass while it's standing on the (covered/uncovered) mirror?
  21. Apparently you didn't read what I'm complaining about slowly enough to comprehend the problem and to save you the hassle of having to read what I actually wrote again I'll just go ahead and fill you in on the part that you obviously didn't catch. The bird isn't crapping on my mirrors... the bird just STANDS on the mirror and then attacks its reflection in the door glass. I'm not an engineer so I have no clue how to make the door glass less reflective and putting something on the inside of the glass isn't going to alter the bird's reflection that it's seeing on the outside of the glass.
  22. Any chance you could try that again? That group of words that you published took a serious nose dive after "birds will" and it makes no sense at all to me.
  23. OK... I gotta do some bird venting so I figured I'd vent here today for a change because the wife is sick of hearing about this "crap" every day. Bluebirds! We have a LOT of them around our place... I counted 13 of them on the bird bath at one time earlier this year and I think they're absolutely beautiful when those wings are spread. Don't get me wrong... I love 'em and I'm glad there's so many around here being the official bird of this God forsaken state of New York... BUT! There's one in particular that continually bashes its head against both of the front door windows on my truck! It perches on the mirrors and then repeatedly attacks its image in the glass over & over. I realize it's seeing its reflection and it thinks it's attacking another bluebird but come on for Christ's sake... how many freaking head bashings is it gonna take before the light finally comes on? The constant head bashing part is the bird's problem... MY problem is that every time it bashes its head on the window a trail of white stuff comes squirting out of its other end running down the door. Every single day for the past 2 weeks now I've been cleaning off trails of bluebird crap from both of my truck's front doors... over & over... I wiped up crap trails SIX TIMES just yesterday! And it doesn't matter where I park the truck either... out front... out back... under a tree... out in the sun... it doesn't matter... it just won't give up! OK... all done venting... thanks for tuning in!
  24. I don't know one single person that's had a VPN and was happy with it and I know quite a few folks that have had various different ones. The biggest complaint by far is there are a LOT of sites you won't be able to access without a bunch of messing around with settings and running a close second in the complaint department is they slow down your connections... sometimes drastically!
  25. No problem... the old farmer down the road has been around a while and he's got some good "home remedies" that's for sure! As a matter of fact he just turned 92 years old last week and he's still driving himself around everywhere in his 28 year old Dodge pickup :) Here's another one for anybody having woodchuck problems. We had one that kept occupying our shed a few years ago and no matter how many times I filled that hole back in within a day or two it had the hole dug again. The old guy said to fill the hole back in like usual but put a couple of inches of used kitty litter on the top layer... so I tried that and we never had a hole in our shed again.
